Emma Castle has always loved reading but didn’t know she loved romance until she was enduring the trials of law school. She discovered the dark and sexy world of romance novels and since then has never looked back! She loves writing about sexy, alpha male heroes who know just how to seduce women even if they are a bit naughty about it. When Emma’s not writing, she may be obsessing over her favorite show Supernatural where she’s a total Team Dean Winchester kind of girl!

💋💋💋

I’m really getting to like both Emma’s books and Sci-fi books .
A whole new world opening up with an exciting new genre of stories.

Emma has released some great books so far so look them up , this is just one of them , part of Krinar World , again look them up.
Soren’s story is called Krinar Eclipse and just as exciting.

Sef is a guardian sent to infiltrate the human resistance, but he finds more than he bargained for when he helps Harper in a bar fight.

Harper is a mechanic by day a bar worker by night , that is until she meets the man of her dreams and can’t seem to keep her hands off him . Little does she know he’s Krinar , the alien race her brothers are in league against .

POSSIBLE SPOILER
My only criticism of this would be , I felt it needed a manhunt at the end , Sef’s Revenge of sorts.

It’s a wonderful story with alien romance, weird technology, and mating experiences, romance , fights, beautiful aliens and strong women.
One that really lets you drift away , great writing and an addictive read .

I adored the book and can’t wait to read more of them .

I had no idea Emma Castle wrote alien romances until I looked at her backlist! I was so excited because alien romances are my favorite!

This one is about Harper and Sef. Harper is a human who lives on Earth, which has been invaded and taken over by the Krinar alien race. Sef just so happens to be one of those aliens. He goes undercover as a human to gain knowledge about his race. While he is working he ends up meeting Harper and can't stop thinking about her after. But there comes a point where he has to reveal his true identity and he knows he could lose Harper forever if he tells her.

This was a fun and interesting alien romance! I love this plot of the Krianar and can't wait to get to the other books in this series. But I believe they are written by different authors. Anyway, this was a fun and hot read but a little too insta lovely for my taste. Like I felt like Harper forgave Sef for what he did too quickly.

TROPES: alien romance, dyslexia rep, hidden identity

"What we have," he murmured, still stroking the back of her neck, "this is rare. So very rare."

Sef is Krinar. Harper is human. The Krinar came to Earth five years ago. Harper lost her parents that day. Today, Harper owns and operates her father's garage while her brothers, Mason and Liam own and operate the attached bar.

Sef comes to investigate rumors of a group of rebels supposedly lead by Harper's brothers. He is immediately drawn to Harper, more than any female he'd ever been in contact with.

As Sef continues to fall in love with Harper, he is consumed with guilt knowing she will hate him when she finds out what he truly is and why he is there. Unless he can convince her that he loves her and is trying to help create a better world in which Krinar and humans can learn to trust each other and live side by side.

This is the first book I've read by this author and of the Krinar universe and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The attraction level between Sef and Harper was awesome. The story itself was really well written. And I love the surprise Sef is able to give Harper at the end.

I received this book as an ARC. This review is my true and honest response.

“You are mine no matter what, just the way you are.”

Totally swoon-worthy! Sef is a Krinar Guardian (somewhere between a policeman and the Krinar FBI) who has been sent undercover to Lawrence, Kansas, to investigate possible resistance in the small Midwest town. To Harper King, the younger sister of two potential resistance leaders, “Seth” appears to have been created from thin air “from the fantasies of women around the world” and his serendipitous arrival means much needed help in her garage and King’s Bar.

In classic Krinar World fashion, it’s lust at first sight. I loved Sef and Harper’s chemistry! They are so sexy together! And the way Sef romances her, too? Panty-melting!

What elevated this love story beyond my expectations was the Krinar world building that Emma Chase boldly delves into. Ethical themes of Autonomy (ours) vs Benevolence (Krinar) are explored in detail as Sef, Harper, and the King brothers struggle with their competing viewpoints of human/alien coexistence.

Krinar technology is featured as we learn that Harper has exceptional aptitude for engineering despite being encumbered by a severe learning disability. This topic is treated with such compassion and acceptance that I envy the post-Arrival humans. It’s like Star Trek meets Twilight. The story was so thoroughly developed that it felt longer than an average novella. Absolutely outstanding!

Harper King is like most humans—she works hard at her job in her garage & part time in the family owned bar and does her best not to think too much about the Krinar. The mysterious aliens took over her planet five years ago, and since then, rumours have surrounded them… whispers of super strength and speed, incredible beauty, and advanced technology. Harper should hate them, since her parents died the day they invaded, but something about the infamous Krinar fascinates her.

Enthralling, engrossing it drew me in from the start & I read it in a sitting. Strong characters of depth who were very likeable. A fast paced story, Sef or Seth & Harper were drawn to each other like moths to a flame but he had a job to do that could serious jeopardise their budding relationship plus he definitely not who he says he is. My only quibble was that I felt the ending was rushed & things resolved too quickly but nevertheless a captivating read.
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

I love all books about the Krinar World. And I fell in love with this book.

This book is about Sef a Krinar commander who is sent to Lawrence, Kansas to infiltrate a resistance group.

Harper is a very intelligent mechanic that has her own shop that’s connected to her two older brothers bar. Her brothers are leaders in a resistance group.

When Sef helps Harper after a client in the bar hits her, everything changes for him.

Emma Castle did an amazing job, I love her work. She is without a doubt a incredible writer. Don’t miss out in The Krinar World.

THE KRINAR CODE by Emma Castle is one of several books of The Krinar World. Sef, a Krinar guardian, is supposed to infiltrate a human resistance group, not seduce the leaders’ sister, but from the moment he sees her, he must have her. Harper King falls for the gorgeous drifter who rescues her from a bar fight. Will she choose her dark, seductive alien lover to save her family? Or will she resist the secret desires of her own heart to be free? THE KRINAR CODE is a dark, edgy romance, packed with heat and intrigue. Where there is passion, there is also danger and betrayal. Emma Castle writes a stunning but compelling alien romance with likeable characters, action, and unbridled passion that kept me captivated me from beginning to end.

Audiobook review

I loved this audiobook version of Krinar Code by Emma Castle. I thought that the narrator, Justine O. Keef did a fantastic job with both the main characters as well as with the secondary characters. I was planning on taking my time and only listening during my commute to and from work, but I was hooked into the storyline and I had to find out what happened.

It has been awhile since I’ve read a sci-fi romance so when the opportunity came to listen to this book, I snapped up the chance. This book is actually part of Anna Zaires’s Krinar World series, even though this is the first introduction for me, I did not have any issues understanding this storyline.

Krinar Code is the story of Seth/Sef and Harper King. Sef is a guardian of the Krinar, (explained as somewhere between a police officer and FBI) sent to Mason and Liam King’s bar to look into a possible Krinar resistance group. But he was not prepared for Harper King, the sister. He was immediately fascinated by her. In the 8000 years he has never wanted anything permanent before until Harper. But he had a job to do and as they grew closer every day, he knew the time was coming near when she found out the truth and end up hating him.

I adored Harper, she is still in so much pain over the loss of her parents and a hidden disability, but she is still such a caring and sweet individual. She is actually hilarious, some of the scenes after she finally is made aware of what was happening, had me smiling and laughing out loud. And even with her disability, she had this genius ability to understand some of the Krinar technology. She was definitely a fascinating character.

The love story between Sef and Harper was a bumpy ride, but the chemistry was scorching and Sef’s determination to keep Harper permanently was intense, she didn’t have a chance against him. The resistance group part of the book was resolved quickly, almost too quickly, but I was more invested in the romance story so I was okay with it.

This was only the second book by this author but I am definitely a fan. Krinar Code was filled with drama, action, humor and steamy chemistry.

Story 3,4/5
Emotionen 4,0/5
Charaktere 4,4/5
Unterhaltung 4,4/5
Sprecher 4,0/5
Hörgefühl 4,0/5
Gesamt 4,0/5

Cute and sweet. I enjoyed this short story set in the Midwest to show some of the social effects of changes to the Earth. I didn't expect tight-ass Sef to fall in love, and I loved the human, Harper, the author paired him with. I also loved the personality she had: small, sassy, tough, smart, a mechanic (and engineer!) and dyslexic. Also, she was tough and reasonable thinking her way through dilemmas. I loved how she just got up and figured her way around his home. "Where's the control box?" I was most touched about how much she didn't feel sorry for herself, but would just take love as it comes. Not as much damsel in distress. I loved Sef and Harper's relationship. Also, I could totally see Sef as a Midwestern hunk in the writing (there was a bit too much "honey" going on, which doesn't go with a masculine voice, IMO). But when Sef reverted to his Krinar guardian self, I could see his dominance coming out. I loved that.

One small criticism. On one hand, Harper highlights that she knows who Mia and Korum is because they were married in a televised event, but then Harper goes on to say that she's working with some engineer named Korum. I would have loved to see how Harper took to Korum and his design team. I'm also not sure how I feel that Sef thinks that he's going to go back to engineering. On one hand, it makes more sense that he does if his twin brother is an Ambassador, but I also think that Sef is great as an undercover leather-jacket wearing every man lumber jack man. I think I would kinda like to see more Soren and Sef reappear occasionally (and their charls). It is also weird that they are 8000 years old, but they don't necessarily have more senior positions. But maybe that's my human bias.

I'm starting to really enjoy these short stories that build out characters. In some ways, these are better than some of the original books, like Mia and Korum's story, IMO. Mia was a very weak FMC character, even if they were trying to play up the Edward-Bella dynamic of predator-prey. It ultimately didn't make Mia a very inspiring FMC like the last few Krinar books.

Sizzle sexy mysterious stranger

Sef is Krinar in disguise as Seth Jackson to infiltrate a Krinar resistance movement but in the process he meets his “true love” and he is conflicted because her brothers are who he’s come to arrest. She’s a genius, mechanic with an unnatural ability to understand complex engineering theories but also has dyslexia. The story is short and somewhat spoon fed to the reader. It’s also integrated with Soren and Bianca’s story which came first. Sef is tender and as Seth he has personality he becomes a bit robotic and very possessive as Sef. I think the resolution of the story in the last chapter was too fast and could have been stretched out. The epilogue was a nice surprise. Still a fun story to read. I also listened to the audiobook which was enjoyable.

Different strokes for different folks or whatever, but I hated everything about this. It's ableist, and abusive, and straight-up colonialism-porn. The whole experience felt like reading a horror novel instead of a romance. I have had no trouble in the past disconnecting what I would condone in the real world from what I enjoy in fiction, but I just could not do that with this book. I'm sure there are people this works for, but it just made me feel icky, and if I wasn't behind on my reading challenge, it probably would have been a DNF :/

This is another storyline that contains a dominate male to his female counterpart. Where the female is smart and independent in her own right, but allows the dominate man be just that. I liked this. I enjoyed the fact that it has a frew more challenges or setbacks than the other one I read from the Krinar World. But the ending in the epilogue was just so cheesy I had to knock out down another quarter star. This cheesy part didn't even make much sense to me if I am being honest....

This book surprised me ! I wasn't expecting to like it this much. I mean there wasn't anything really new or really ground breaking. But the writing style of this author is amazing. I can't really explain it but I was hooked ! Each book I've read of her had the same effect so I don't think it's a fluke and she's genuinely talented :)

Loved It

This exciting Krinar romance tale was a delight to read. Sef and Harper fell in love . Harper's brothers were involved with the resistance and were arrested by the Krinar Guardians. In order to save her brothers, Harper becomes Sef's Charl. There is a lot to this well written story and it will not disappoint.

Condescending super powered aliens that know what's best for us humans. Add what I could only see as pure lust and the lead male making life changing decisions for the woman without her knowledge. Not interested. If you're looking for a bunch of quick sex scenes, then maybe this is your thing.

Kninar series

I love this series of Alpha males and strong women. This story line is about Sef & Harper. He is a guardian and goes undercover and meets Harper who he falls for. They both have secrets that they keep from each other. It has hot sex scenes but it’s great story too.

Felt like I had to write a review because the abuse and ableism were truly atrocious. I wanted to scream at the FMC, and reading the MMC’s perspective made me want to throw up. Some readers might be able to stomach it, but consider this a warning, this was a deeply uncomfortable read.

Five years after the Krinar invasion of planet Earth, several Centers were created as a kind of mini city for these beings with advanced technology, beauty and superior physical strength.
Krinars were known for their tall, strong body, brown eyes and hair. So when Harper King, working as a waitress at her brothers' bar, Mason and Liam, met a handsome, blond, blue-eyed man, she couldn't imagine he was a Krinar.

Sef was there in disguise and in a mission
As a guardian, he needed to find out what the real danger was from the clandestine meetings that took place in the King Brothers' bar depot.

Harper was not part of the resistance. She had her car repair shop, and although she was afraid of the Krinars, she didn't hate them.
Her parents had died on K-day when a bomb exploded on the bridge that their car was on. That made her brothers have the Ks as sworn enemies, but Harper had other ideas about it.

The true was because of their invasion and their demand to close all meat industries, the city was suffering the consequences. Many traders have gone bankrupt because they were unable to adapt to the demands of only growing vegetables and fruits. Lawrence, Kansas, was becoming a ghost town.

However, Sef's job was specific: figuring out what the resistance plans were and arresting the leaders.
He approached Harper, and introduced himself as Seth Jackson. He got work at the bar and even helped Harper in the repair shop.

Being around Harper made Sef/Seth understood why his twin brother, Soren, had almost put his job to waste because of a human.
Harper had something that made Sef be fascinated, and when he discovered some drawings she had made of krinar vessels, based solely on what she had seen through the news, it made him realize that she was a prodigy.
But most interesting was the way her mind worked. Harper had severe dyslexia; She could read but had a hard time causing strong headache. However, she was a genius in calculations.

When the plans of the resistance were discovered - which included using a krinar bomb to destroy the Kansas K Center - the meeting was overrun by the krinar guards and Harper's brothers were also arrested.
She would do anything to see her brothers free... even to be Sef's charl.

But Sef didn't want Harper to stay with him over a bargain. Her blood was powerful to him, but he valued feelings even more; He wanted her to love him.

He had a job to do: find out the traitor's name; In the meantime, he would do his best to show humans that the Krinars were not the real badguys of history, and would try to show Harper that despite their physical differences, they were destined to be together... forever.

This is the second Krinar World book that I've read, having just finished The Krinar Eclipse: A Krinar World Novel by Lauren Smith. The books are set in a world where aliens have arrived on Earth and taking control as they want to share the planet and believe that humans have not been taking care of it recently. I haven't read any of the other books in the series, but that didn't really matter and either or both could be read as stand-alone stories. That said there is some crossover between this book and the previous one that I have read with the lead male in this book and the previous one being twins. There are also characters that I think may have appeared in previous books, but having not read them, I'm not sure.
This is quite a short story, as I believe are the others by other authors who have written books in the series. There is a bit of world-building to be done, but that mostly doesn't matter. Harper is a mechanic who's brothers are resistance fighters against the Krinar. When Sef turns up, a Krinar guardian undercover, he soon falls for her and has to balance sorting out her brothers and not breaking her heart.
I liked the romance between the two, although, like the other book that I read in this series, it was a little too short. The conflict between them was fixed a little too quickly and I think could have been drawn out a little longer to make it more believable and satisfying.
Even so, this is a good quick read and I really enjoyed my second journey into the Krinar World.

*I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.

Well well well...this was unexpected. I was actually thinking that this book was going to be similar to the first book in this series, written by Lauren Smith, but if felt different, yet the same. It's hard to explain actually. I think I felt a little more "connected" to this one though.

Harper is a human running an auto shop and helping her brothers with their bar now that K-Day has happened (the day the Krinar "aliens" showed up and took over the world). K-Day was also the day her parents died during the great panic, which has caused her brothers to hold a bit of resentment toward to K's. But as long as she gets to work on cars and tinker with things, she's all good.

Sef is a Krinar who is undercover, trying to infiltrate an anti-K group in middle America. His job is simple: infiltrate, gather information and take down the group to save his people as well as other humans. But he becomes sidetracked with his mission after meeting Harper. After all, wanting the little sister of the guys he's supposed to take down can cause some issues.

Where the first book in this series focused on the issues of the couple being a couple, this one really focused on bridging the gap between the two species. The chemistry between Sef and Harper is off the hook, but the relationship that was build around it made me gooey.

If you're looking for a short, jam packed alien book, look no further. You don't even HAVE to read the first one to enjoy this!!!

This is about Sef, Soren's twin brother. Sef is a guardian for the Krinar, he is assigned to infiltrate a krinar resistance group in Lawrence KS. Only he didn't expect to find a sister and two brothers. He wasn't told about the woman who he is now also drawn to her. Sef has controlled his desires for thousands of years, now his desire has control of him. He now understands what caused his brother to take his, Charl/wife.
Sef/Seth drives to his assignment and approaches
Harper works as a mechanic in the garage that had belonged to her father. She inherited it when both her parents were killed. in the Panic, with the invasion of the Krinar, and the bridge they were on was bombed. She also helped out working in her brothers' bar, after she closed the garage.
When Harper went to work at the bar she was asked to waitress and she agreed too, but an incident happens, she gets hurt and Sef ends up the night taking over for Harper and taking orders for drinks. Then also getting an apartment above the garage, a job and helping out at the garage.
Her brothers were part of a non-violent resistance group, but they were not achieving any satisfaction with their protests. Until... they are approached by another resistance group leader that wanted to speak to their group. When Sef reports his discovery...

I really like reading the Krinar stories and this one did not disappoint me. I loved it.

I received an ARC from the author for an honest review.
