Jemma was ready to join her brother on his horse ranch in Texas, believing that Melvin, one of his hired hands she had been writing to, would propose to her. However, she hadn’t counted on Miakoda, a Kiowa Indian, who also worked for her brother, introducing his beautiful sister to the man she hoped to marry and him falling in love with her. She believed that Miakoda, who’s name meant Power of the Moon, had disrupted her future, and she took an instant dislike to him. However, when Miakoda’s ‘Moon Power’ started working on her, suddenly she wasn’t so sure of herself any longer. I have read quite a few books from this author. One thing I have learned is that she will take stories where you do not expect them to go! This is not a predictable story! But, Who likes to read a book where you know exactly what’s going to happen, I’m glad she changes things up. I love Jemma and Miakoda and would love to read a sequel to this story.
