This is a wonderful book!! At first, the first few pages were like a poem. The author was actually describing the land. Then it went into the story. Upon reading this book, I thought it was 3 different short stories. As I continued to read, I realized it was like 3 stories rolled into one story. I loved this book and I love this author.

I've read two previous short stories by Mr. Schimke, and this one was not my fav. While, as well written as the others, and full of interesting characters, this one lacked the impact of the other two. For a short story this seemed too drawn out with not much happening-and yet I still found it interesting.

Very well written short story about the bronze age origins of Christmas. It could serve as prologue/prequel to a larger work. The characters were well developed and the story world was very detailed. Overall an enjoyable read!

An interesting short story where not much happens. Perhaps an historical setup for the people he build Stonehenge, however it doesn't appear to be the lead off to a series.
