This book was a really cute book. The main characters development through out the book was really nice to read. However it was really predictable . Her getting with the guy and then having a mid break up was like every other book. Other than that it was interesting but a little boring . I would give this a 7/10 just because of the plot. Besides that the story was cute.

This book might be cheesy and all but it's still amazing and I still loved it !!
The writing of Jenny Han is great and easy plus there is something more about this book that make it even better but I don't know what.
I love the characters 💜🫂.
Lara Jean is so relatable and that why I loved it so much. It's a character that I love so much I feel like she raised me hahaha.
It's a reread but it's still a 5⭐ for me <33.
I highly recommend it (it's perfect for getting out of a reading slump) !!
Make sure to watch the movies because it's as good as the book (in my opinion) 💕.

"It's not like in the movies. It's better, because it's real." - Lara Jean 🌸🍪📚💌💗

"To All the Boys I've Loved Before" by Jenny Han is a delightful and heartwarming young adult romance that has captured the hearts of readers worldwide. The story centers around Lara Jean Song Covey, a shy and introspective high school junior who writes secret love letters to boys she has had crushes on, never intending for them to be seen by anyone else. However, her world is turned upside down when these letters are mysteriously sent out to their recipients.

Lara Jean is a charming and relatable protagonist. Her voice is authentic, and her experiences, while sometimes dramatic, resonate with the universal themes of growing up, dealing with family, and navigating first loves. The novel beautifully explores her close-knit relationship with her sisters, Margot and Kitty, and their Korean-American heritage, adding depth and cultural richness to the story.

The romance between Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky, one of the recipients of her letters, is central to the narrative. What begins as a fake relationship to make Peter's ex-girlfriend jealous and to save Lara Jean from embarrassment soon develops into something real and tender. Their chemistry is palpable, and their interactions are filled with humor, warmth, and genuine emotion.

Jenny Han's writing is engaging and accessible, making the book a quick and enjoyable read. She adeptly captures the nuances of teenage life and the roller coaster of emotions that come with it. The book is not just about romance; it's also about self-discovery, family bonds, and finding one's voice.

In conclusion, "To All the Boys I've Loved Before" is a charming and endearing novel that offers more than just a love story. It is a celebration of family, identity, and the journey of growing up. Jenny Han has crafted a story that is both sweet and profound, making it a must-read for fans of young adult fiction.

I really enjoyed this book!
It really is a true love story because it revolves around a girl who lives mostly in her own little world where everything is safe. I could relate to Lara Jean so much, because it is also so easy for me to just dive into a book and think of nothing else. Lara Jean is the perfect example of girl next door, always friendly, smiling and willing to do anything for her family. She is not very popular at school, and she seems perfectly happy with that, until her love letters are suddenly sent and she becomes the focus of all her unrequited crushes.
Lara Jean has always dreamed of love, but didn't think it was for her. That makes her very relatable to many people. It is also super sweet to see how good of a bond she has with her family. I also really liked the fact that Korean culture is included, because it obviously belongs to Lara Jean.

Lowkey this book kinda eats and it’s way better than the movie in my opinion!! Lara Jean had wayyy more substance in the book and I felt like she was just bland and boring and weaker in the movies. It’s a cute light easy breezy romance novel and the overall concept is really original and cool. I also didn’t cringe which is high praise for a romance book! Peter has charm and appeal but I didn’t like Josh’s character as much in the books than I did in the movies. There wasn’t anything I outwardly hated about the book but it also wasn’t showstopping and amazing - overall solid book and also Jenny Han’s better writing than TSITP series for sure.

Super cute book! I will admit there’s a few random plot lines but I can reason most of them out, adding this kind of fantasy or non-sensical feel to the book but more importantly Lara Jean’s narrative it adds this real sense of self. I do find it a bit strange she calls her parents “daddy” or “mommy” however I think that’s because I’m not used to it does add to the childishness of her character.

Margot in the book can be quite hard to sympathise with at times as the older sister switching between childish and adult real fast but I understand that’s the dilemma she faces having to take a motherly role at a young age. Josh as a character is meant to be “boy next door” but he comes off as more of a jerk telling Lara Jean what she can and can’t be but Peter is no better in that department I’m still not over the manga character comment.

However over all I think this book paints that usally fantasy reality that 2010 teen romance novels do, with the world being through rosey coloured glasses it’s quite wonderful to read. However like Han’s previous work why does the first book HAVE to be a cliff hanger (I do now have all the books though so the cliff hanger has done its job :)). Very happy with this cutesie read definity recommend for a young teen audience.

OH MY GODDDDD. I LOVE TO TALK ABOUT THIS.
I love --- No! I love this rom com. The most comforting book. Trust me when I say this I mean this. It got me adoring so much. I've watched the movies all parts and trust me the movie ain't that cute as much as the book. All the quotes and all the plots are so freaking cute and got me SCREAMING.

The show starts with Lara Jean who's obviously my aspiration, my girl. Peter Kevinsky who she had written a love letter. Basically she writes love letters to all of her crushes and not even that, HER ROOM-- oh my god. I loved her room and all the letters how cutely she put that in the box. It freaked me out when kitty posted all her sister's letters to her respective crushes and that's when Lara's life changes. Peter finds out and offers her to be fake girlfriend to which obviously Lara refuses and freaks out. But we all know she had to accept it. Other details you'll get into the book only. I read it long time ago and after watched the show. I don't really prefer the shows over books but the show was really good. A BIG 3.5/5 to the show. But the book deserves 10/5.

Just completed the book and I just want to know what happens next, and how everything pans out.
The characters and story take amazing arcs every now and then and I am now waiting for the sequel to know what happens in the valley of God.
Amazing piece of work, this book just keeps you hooked and keep you wanting to know what happens next, at no point it becomes boring, just love how each and every character has given importance and have a story of themselves. It's a different world and I'm amused by the imagination and the lengths the writer has gone to put life in the story.

This was my first ever love story book I've ever read, and I'm glad it was.

Though I can't relate to all the crushes, I enjoyed it nonetheless. I loved the relationship between Lara and her sisters, and I'm a sucker for the fake dating to real dating trope. Sue me!

I love love LOVED all the Peter and Lara interactions. Peter helps Lara's confidence and Lara brings out the softness in him. COVINSKY FOR THE WIN! (Their last names Covey and Kavinsky together)

The ending was sad, but it was a perfect lead up to a sequel.

OH MY GOD!! this book is amazing, but if u like high school romance. This is a cheesy and cute book to read. Lara Jean, she is the main character,a girl with the problem of finding a bf.. but then there is this guy Peter. He is amazing, hot guy that everyone wants to date.. but he only wants to get revenge on his ex. And that how the story starts… HAVE A GREAT TIME READING!!

By the way, the book has much more detail than the movie!!

I've seen the movie before and I was reading the book to compare both but I guess the book Lara jean is so much fun rather than the movie one. I mean movie one is good but the vibe of the book Lara jean is so real, you could feel the embarrassment and the love and the emotions to your core. The writing is way too basic but easy to understand. Over all. Reading this book was a feeling I missed when I watched the movie and thought I wish I could watch it for the first time and now here we go.

Geez can't believe i havent reviewed this book until right now. I read it at least 6 months ago. Anyways, definetly need to re read soon, but lets go off what i remember for right now. I actually watched the movie before reading the book, and while the movie will always be one of the best- i remember watching it 6 times in 2 days- i would say that the book is about as good as the movie, just some obvious change. For one, something suprised me: sweet, kind, funny, emotional Peter in the movies was not so kind, sweet, and those other adjectives that i just used in the book. Honestly, i felt a little betrayed. He was not very sweet to Laura Jean in the beginning. I remember that he cussed a lot more, and was very blunt. Which is totally fine. Just suprised me that he wasnt some super sweet puppy dog until later on in the book.
I know that i liked the writing in this book a lot. I really like Laura Jean, and there were only a few times through out the series that she annoyed me. For the most part, though, i liked how she lived up to what Jenny Han was trying to portray her as. Smart, quiet but a little snappy, shy, sweet, sarcastic, funny, caring. Like she didn't suddenly change in the middle of the book like most characters do. She didn't do super stupid things just to make the plot move along. You could say that this was just poor character development, but i think that sometimes in books, characters are the way they are and they dont necessarily need to change. I understand that maybe she was too shy, or didnt stick up for herself as often as she should have, but everyone is different. Maybe that's just who she is. Also, reading about how charactera get so much braver in every book and are just tough bad asses- at least in most of the books i read lol- gets annoying. Sometimes people are a certain way and everyone else can deal with it.
Anyway, it was a pretty good book over all. Oh! I forgot. I did not like Margot. I didnt like her in the book or the movie; i thought she was annoying and stuck up and just butted into problems way too much. Also, she acted like she knew what was right for literally everyone and as a stubborn, i will punch u if you tell me what to do one more time person, she REALLY got on my nerves. I understand that she had to sort of take the role as a mother after their mom died, but like, you are only two years older than Laura Jean. Don't you go tell her how to live her life. It just got annoying and i am a firm believer that Margot did not deserve Josh.
I need to re read soon.

First romance book I ever read.

And I'll never not be in love with it.

The comfort that comes from this book for me is everlasting. The nostalgia, the wholesome love of Peter and Laura Jean. The writing and the way it connected with my young heart.

It's in my soul.

Forever thankful for Jenny Han for this gift. Peter and Laura Jean 4eva.

A fun cute easygoing story. Really love Lara Jean, it’s crazy how much I relate to her so much. Although I’m not a big fan of the fake dating trope here.. it’s one of those classic awkward-girl-meets-popular-boy type of story. I still find it a fun lighthearted book to get into. I definitely enjoyed watching the movie series more though!

TATBILB is just your typical cliche love story. It's a cheesy and cute little romance book. I initially read this after watching the movie on Netflix. Some parts were meh and other parts I wished were included in the movie. Overall I'd read this again just for fun.
