Je n’attendais pas grand chose de ce manga quand je l’ai commencé. Et puis finalement, le premier tome m’avait beaucoup surprise et puis en continuant de découvrir les autres tomes, je me suis complètement laissé surprise par cette histoire. Une histoire que je trouve drôle, intéressante et passionnante en même temps. J’ai vu qu’il y avait un anime et je suis très curieuse de découvrir ce que ça vaut à l’écran! Le tome précédent se terminait sur un évènement assez fou qui nous donnait très envie de découvrir la suite!

Dans ce quatrième tome, aujourd’hui encore, la section design du Ciel s’applique à réaliser du mieux qu’elle peut les requêtes excentriques de Dieu et, parfois, celles plus raisonnables de l’Enfer. Mais sauront-ils découvrir la meilleure méthode pour séduire un partenaire potentiel ou bien concevoir un animal à l’ouïe extraordinaire ? Et surtout, seront-ils capables de percer le secret de l’immortalité ? Une chose est sûre : rien ne se passe jamais comme prévu…

Une des choses que j’aime dans ce manga, c’est le fait qu’après chaque création d’animal, à la fin du chapitre, on a une vraie fiche d’informations concernant l’animal en question. Ça peut paraître bête mais je trouve ça hyper instructif de pouvoir découvrir toutes ces choses. C’est un des gros plus de cette histoire selon moi. J’adore les différents personnages, ils sont tous très drôles et parfois complètement barré. J’avais un peu peur qu’il y ai un côté répétitif dans cette histoire mais je suis ravie de voir que ce n’est clairement pas le cas. Au contraire même, je trouve que l’histoire arrive à se renouveler, nous ne sommes pas dans le même schéma, un chapitre = une création d’animal. Il y a différentes mises en scènes, on a une sorte de question pour un champion, façon de parler, et j’en passe. C’est un vrai plaisir de découvrir tout ça tome après tome!

Un manga qui a vraiment su me surprendre par l’originalité de l’histoire. Je prends énormément de plaisir à découvrir les tomes, les uns après les autres. J’adore les différents personnages, ils me font tous rires et se retrouvent très souvent dans des situations complètement loufoques. J’adore ça! J’aime assister à la création des différents animaux. C’est super intéressant de voir l’acheminement qu’ils ont pour arriver à créer comme il faut les animaux que l’on connaît tant! Avec la fin de ce tome, j’ai tellement hâte d’avoir la suite entre les mains!

4.5 stars. Gods design animals for Earth! Each chapter focuses on 1-3 animals and the thoughtful creative process on the how and why an animal is the way they are. At the end of each chapter are bits of information about the animals mentioned.

It's really interesting how there's a God who sends an angel as an agent to Roman Gods in order to design creations for Him. I like how there's reason in the creation, making it a fun way of explaining the who, what, why, and how. The cast of characters are all likeable and have their quirks. They share the spotlight with their animal creations. The plot is linear so readers won't have to worry too much about having to read from the first book. Some new characters do get introduced but each volume includes a quick introduction for each person.

Give to middle schoolers and up who enjoy manga and like to learn along the way!

The usual fun, though the fun is beginning to grow old. The attempts to interject some new presentation methods aren't really doing anything - the humor still rests on the "guess which animal this is!" gag.

Also, just as a note, the idea that something gets old to protect the young makes no logical sense to me. How would a species develop aging in response to predators? That can't be the going theory on aging.

Is this the best thing I've ever read, no, but its exactly what I need right now with an absolute mountain of school work to deal with. Quick, fun, and episodic, you can easily read a chapter or two at a time and still easily follow what's going on.

This is such an interesting series. I'm learning, but I'm also entertained, which is really fun to me. I'm also freaking out because some animals are legit weird. It's fun to see how their weirdness is actually an adaptation for survival, though. All in all, this is a great series.

Can our team figure out what romance is, having so little experience of it themselves? It'll come out looking weird, for sure! Also, competing penguin designs battle in a game show.

If you've made it this far into the series, you should know what to expect by now. It seemed in volume 3 like they might be building toward something resembling an actual plot with direction, but I didn't see any further sign of that in this volume. Still an enjoyable read though.
