Protect Me

Rate this book
When lines are blurred, is it still pretend?

Tony Gates is less than thrilled when assigned to protect the pretty nurse from a stalker. To add to it, now he's been roped into living with her as well, pretending they are together. When his sister shows up unexpectedly, it forces them into the same room or risk blowing their cover. Now, she's too close, and all he wants is her.

Jeni Adams thought she was finally living her best life after some rough years, so when pictures of her started turning up on her car, she ignored it. But when nude photos show, she gets scared and runs for help. She wasn't expecting him. He's smoking hot with a filthy mouth and is most definitely out of her league. But soon, she wants to know what it's like to make his words to her a reality.

This story features a heroine with an eating disorder. Please Be advised.

For optimum reading experience, the series is best read in order starting with book Shattered.

amazing story

Kelly has grown so much as a writer. The Healing Series is a powerful one where she tackles some difficult topics and traumas and she writes them well!

This story is so much more than a Body Guard story. It tackles traumas that plague Jeni's past and cause obstacles for Tony as he tries to break down her barriers. Each character went through their own growth journey and I loved seeing them both morph into better versions of themselves.

I LOVE that former couple appearances. Their cameos absolutely answer an lingering questions I had or expectations I was having for them as a couple at the end of their books.

Very well done - looking forward to book 7!

Lover Secured

Kelly Seibold’s sixth book in her ‘The Healing Series’ is sensational! So far this is my favorite in this series. The story is full of exciting adventure, mystery, suspense, romance and runs the gambit from A to Z with emotions. Tony and Jeni, the main characters, are thrown together out of necessity. Jeni is being stalked and Tony has been assigned to protect her. Situations have pushed them even closer together. The closer they get the harder it is to resist one another. This book was so riveting that I couldn’t put it down until the very last page. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!

Oh wow! I loved this book! I absolutely loved Tony and Jeni's story and there's nothing as hot as a growly alpha. Tony is such a hot hero who'll do anything for his love, Jeni, including putting his life on the line.
The storyline includes some very serious themes as well as all the hot steamy romance a gal could want. These themes are dealt with in a sensitive and realistic manner.
A fantastic read. Highly recommended!

I loved Tony he was not only protecting Jeni in the physical sense but in general. He was not liking her brother Matt. They each were fighting that internal battle with their developing feelings at their fake relationship. Really good read.

The book review for Protect Me by Kelly Seibold is here!!!! In this book, we follow Jeni Adams as she finds out she is being stalked. Photos of her show up at her front door and she knows she's in danger. She thought she was living her best life with a great job as a nurse, but she also hides a secret from the people she loves: she's dealing with an eating disorder. Tony Gates is less than thrilled when he is assigned to protecting Jeni. The way he's going to keep her safe is by pretending that he is her boyfriend. What starts as a fake relationship, turns into something real, and Tony is willing to do anything at any cost to ensure that the woman he loves is safe and protected from the danger lurking around the corner! This book was amazing! I love the relationship between Tony and Jeni, and this book's thrills made me gasp and crave more to find out what would happen next! I highly recommend this book to those that love romantic suspense novels!

Loved it! Engaging! This is my first book by this author. I didn't pay any attention to the fact that this was a book in a series. I might have understood some of the secondary characters better if I'd started from book 1. But, that's not the author's fault. Tony and Jeni's story is romantic with some suspense. It's heartwarming and sexy. I enjoyed reading how Tony and Jeni's relationship goes from enemies (of sorts) to lovers. Jeni has insecurities. Tony is her protector and healer. Their story had depth and emotion. I will definitely be going back to the beginning of this series. Thumbs up and 5 stars!

This was such an epic story. I have truly enjoyed every story in Kelly Seibold's healing series. Each one of her characters are thoroughly developed to the point you feel like they could live up the street from you. That is how I felt with Jeni and Tony. They were both strong yet flawed. They both had shadows in their pasts which caused them to react the way they do. Being thrown together in a stressful situation didn't help their situation either, but slowly they leaned on each other more and more and let their natural attraction take hold. It was a beautifully written love story and the suspense that laced the story was wonderfully thought out and the twist was absolutely AWESOME. This one will stick with me.

Pros:
-liked the tropes: one bed, forced proximity, he fell
first, they touch you they ☠️☠️
-good amount of suspense to make me need more

Cons:
-you HAVE to read this series in order
-6 to 7 side stories that confused me as to what in the world was happening
-too many people in this story to keep straight

It is scary to think this is a story that could be true and does happen to people. Both Jeni and Tony’s feelings were valid. That said, there were too many times things would sound out of place because the story would jump to a past characters from previous books in this series. How everyone was connected, had different pieces to this puzzle, being forced to read their side stories, yet not one really talked to each other to solve the issue was obnoxiously distracting.

Another absolutely fantastic story in The Healing Series! Tony is the perfect protective, alpha, hot, growly man. He is charged with protecting Jeni from her stalker and to do so must pretend to be her live in boyfriend. Jeni is a nurse and has her own hidden shame from the past. These two have truly off the charts chemistry and no matter how much they fight each other they can't deny how they feel. Tony has become my new book boyfriend! The author does a wonderful job developing the characters and their story is not only steamy but will truly pull on your heart strings.

This book number 6 in The Healing Series. I love so many things about this book. 1. Is how the Author brings past Characters that you fell in love with from the past books. She continues their storyline so you can continue with them .
2. She tackles such series subjects in each book.
This book is about Tony an ex police officer now working as a private detective. As well as Jeni a nurse in a hospital. Jeni is being stalked and Tony has been hired to protect her by posing as her live in boyfriend. The Chemistry between the too is so good.

I found this series to be very engaging. The author continually has scenes with multiple characters from previous books, as well as people I certainly hope to see have their own story told in a coming book. This book had more suspense than previous books in the series, but I love how the author strung her audience along. The love story between Tony and Jeni was believable and had me all up in my feels.

Fantastic

Yet again a brilliant story. I loved jeni and Antonio. They were a fantastic pairing and their own individual stories complimented each other perfectly, I also enjoyed seeing more of the others from the previous books and I really hope some of their stories get happily ever afters too.
