Bag Men: Mutation

Rate this book
In the wake of the siege, the armies of the Republic of Sacramento emerge victorious. Led by Bureau of Public Health Director Lillian Morgenstern, they commence a campaign of retaliation against the Kingdom of Yuma. BPH Agent Fey “Sturgeon” Santos, lost and alone in the Wasteland, stumbles into a nightmarish game of survival surrounded by horrors no one has encountered before, foreshadowing dire ramifications for humanity's war against the evolved undead Sleepers. But can she be sure that was she is seeing is real, and not some hallucination brought about by her desperation to escape and survive? A flashback to the year 2058 follows Mag Ward, a Flackjacket Enforcer working for Boss Billie Handel, the most powerful woman in the city of Free Flagstaff. Mag has a complicated history with the Republic of Sacramento, one that becomes much more complicated when an old “friend” knocks on her door, threatening everyone she cares about and everything she has built. Violently orphaned from an early age, Mag has already been forced to endure near-complete destruction. Can she do it again? Or will she somehow manage to stop the impending slaughter?
