Secrets from the past defined them. Will they let secrets destroy their chance at finding forever love? Growing up in the lap of rock royalty, it wasn’t a surprise when Presley Bennett pursued her own singing career. Or when she skyrocketed to stardom overnight. Fame, fortune, Presley seemed to have it all. Except for the one thing she wanted more than anything.
Watching her mother live one life yet yearn for another, Presley questioned whether or not forever love really exists. Needing to understand why her mother made the choices she did and what forever love actually means, she desperately searches for answers.
Ben Hewitt met Presley on their first day of Year Four at Wickersham Primary School. Straightaway the quiet boy fancied the exuberant, articulate girl. They quickly became best friends and their lives were forever intertwined.
Now laying in a coma after a horrific accident, Presley listens while Ben reminisces about their past. Through his words and her thoughts, they relive the moments and secrets that defined their friendship.
When the past and the present eventually collide it leads up to a series of choices that could change both of their lives forever.
Will secrets destroy their friendship? Or will she find her forever love?
I loved the way that Robi intertwined the present with the past! The story was creative and spellbinding! Robi showed a gift of words and storytelling! Recommend it to all that love a good love story!
“Defined by Secrets” was amazingly written! I loved every character and how the author weaved the back stories and details throughout the book. One scene even brought me to tears! I feel like I personally know all of the characters and can’t wait for “Defined by Murder.” Once I got to chapter three, I couldn’t put it down! My favorite read of the year!
Presley and Ben are best friends who have the potential to be so much more, if they would only be honest with themselves and each other. But, have they lost the chance?
Read this book! Romance, rockstars, and the boy next door? Yes please! I immediately connected with Pressley and Ben and their sweet, romantic story. I always love a good friends to more than friends story and this one was great. We're rooting for these two crazy kids right from the beginning and I love how the first book wraps up the beginning of their relationship, but also reveals darkness yet to come. Do yourself a favor and read this book.
