Six thinks one of his lovers, Paul, leaves way too many notes. Most of them are about things he'd forget to do, but every once in awhile, the notes make him happy. When Six finds a note that says I love you, he plans an evening Paul will never forget, including dinner and dancing. Will Paul reward Six for good behavior?
Then in Dinner and Dancing it's after they hook-up and move in with Paul who takes care of them and leaves notes about everything (it must be like living with freaking kindergarteners) and says he'll be home early and they'll go for dinner. So Six takes him to a nice restaurant and then on a carriage ride and dancing. A very romantic evening. Why do I read these? Because I'm hooked on the characters despite the fact they've done so many drugs that Six has about that many brain cells left and Jules "sees" in music and Six "sees" in color and Paul goes to his office job everyday and wrangles the stoners. Okay, the reality would make me nuts but now I like them despite their weirdness.
