King's Ranch #2

Keeping Grace

Rate this book
When you fall -- what's better than -- two hot cowboys -- to catch you!

Grace
Grace isn’t going to make it to the Olympics.
She’s become penniless, homeless, jobless, and horseless in a matter of weeks -- all because of her thieving ex-trainer.
Her only option now is to go to King’s Ranch to ask her sister for help.
Yeah, that King’s Ranch. The one where . . . unique relationships abound.
The kind she wouldn’t mind trying out . . . The kind where a couple of cowboys could make her forget about her destroyed dreams . . . The kind that would make sure she had a good time while she rebuilds her life -- if her sister ever gives her time off from training.

Scott and Ty
Tragedy left Scott broken hearted and he’s sure he won’t ever love again.
Ty knows that Scott could get over the death of his fiancé with the ranch’s newest visitor, the luscious Grace. She’s everything the both of them ever wanted between them, someone to share their lives together -- forever.
But she wants to have fun while she trains for the Olympics, not settle down and start a family.
Ty wants to show her she can have it both ways.
If he’s wrong, she’ll break both their hearts . . .

A great series. Can be read as a stand-alone but you get more if you start at the beginning.

The descriptions of the land and the guys favourite places on the ranch transported me to their spots. I could just about hear the water and see the blossoms falling, just magical.

The dynamics of these three was quite hot but like all new relationships it had its bumps, then add in the family dynamics she needs to cope with and it definitely leads to some emotional moments.

All in all a great story with lots of steam

This was the second story in the Kings Ranch series and it was absolutely amazing!! I would recommend reading them in order to understand the background of the ranch and the Cosland relationships but you can read as a stand alone romance.
Grace is an excellent horsewoman who has dreams of entering the Olympics. When her team folds and her coach abandons her she goes to stay at the ranch with her sister Blake. Blake is a trainer and is helping her until she can find a new team.
Scott and Ty are cowboys and best friends. Scott lost his fiancée 6 years earlier and was emotionally scarred. He felt he could never love again. He and Ty decided they would try the Cosland way and share a woman in the future, that way she would get the love Scott wasn’t sure he could give.
As soon as they all meet the feelings and chemistry are instantaneous but there is lots to navigate to a lovely HEA.
There is love, laugher, heartbreak, emotional baggage, overbearing parents, misunderstandings and miscommunication to work through. The story is also very hot and steamy with a sweet romance too. Scott, Ty and Grace are true soulmates and love each other completely but need to learn to support each other in the way they need and communicate openly. When they do there is no stopping them.
Wonderfully written and engaging from beginning to end. I can’t wait to read more from Kings Ranch

Keeping Grace is the second book in Daniella Hart’s Kin’s Ranch series. In it she chronicles the polyamours relationship between Grace, Scott, and Ty. All three are wounded souls, yet in their own right they are each strong and independent. Grace suffers an emotional set back that springs from two sources. The first her domineering and manipulative mother, Debra. The second the betrayal from her Olympic coach, Charlie, when he abandons her and the team. Scott’s emotional wounds come from the accidental death of his fiancé, Hannah. Ty’s emotional wounds are inflicted by an abusive and controlling father. I appreciate how Ms. Hart uses this as part of her dual prong plot. Of course, the other prong is the romantic one. Ms. Hart masterfully uses literary devices such as dialog, both conversational and internal monologues; multiple POVs; and descriptive language to paint vivid scenes. I enjoyed the scenes wherein Grace trains with her horse, Storm. I also enjoyed how Ms. Hart weaves in the theme of family and that the concept of family does not only fall within the realm of blood ties. Although I found this plot moved slowly, I did enjoy this story. Her characters are realistic and readers find them credible through their internal monologues and this is why at times this plot felt like a coming of age plot with the outcome being emotional maturity.

Grace is 25 and has always been a pleaser. Her dreams of being in the Olympics are now in jeopardy so she has to find out if she is strong enough to make it on her own or stay under others thumbs.

Grace has gone to the Kingston Ranch to her sister Blake to get help with moving forward with her dreams of getting into the Olympics. She cannot afford any distractions. She needs to be her own woman. But…..

Scott and Ty work on the Kingston Ranch and each have pasts that have left them scarred. They have decided they want to follow in the tradition of their home country and find a woman to share because neither are sure they could give a woman what she needs individually.

The three develop a relationship but is that relationship strong enough to overcome all of the baggage that comes with them? Are they willing to make the sacrifices for the future they want?

Danielle has woven a story of overcoming the past, facing the future and finding the strength to weather it all. You will enjoy Grace’s story of coming into herself, learning to say no and fighting for her future.

I did receive an ARC copy in exchange for my review :)

First, I love the author’s note to people who know her personally! If your device takes you directly to chapter one back up a few pages and read that note. A word of caution: don’t read it if you have just taken a sip of wine or tea if you want to avoid snorting it through your nose!!

The story is about developing relationships and partnerships with family, friends, lovers and horses. Grace is reconnecting with her horse Storm and her sister while trying to get refocused on her Olympic dream. That focus gets a little distracted when a couple of dreamy cowboys enter the picture.

There is lots flirting, lots of riding horses (and cowboys) and lots of family drama to keep the reader engaged. Ultimately, understanding and acceptance support Grace, Scott and Ty through to their HEA.

Although this is a standalone I would recommend reading Book 1 (Claiming Blake) if you want to fill in some of the back story . And, of course, read the next book in the series!

I received an free copy from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily

This is the second book in the King's Ranch series. You can read it as a standalone but it is connected to the first book, Grace is Blake’s younger sister. You can read Jessie’s story in a series prequel from the author which gives you a bit of background about the ranch and how it came to be. Neither are necessary reads to enjoy this one but you will see those characters again in this book. Oh Holy Hotness. Be prepared for some seriously smoking hot scenes filled with two hot cowboys ready to protect, care for and love their woman. Ty is out going, flirty and fun whereas Scott is broody, serious, and thoughtful but he has put a wall around his heart after losing his fiancé in a tragic accident several years ago. I love that Scott and Ty want to take care of Grace but also recognize that she needs to take back her life, has goals, and needs to be independent. Hot, sweet, super steamy, and well written. Can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.

I receive a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest review.

This is the Second book in the Kings Ranch series and just as good. Grace has been struggling since her jumping team coach abandoned her. She ran to her sister on the King Ranch and she has been helping her train until she finds a new team. Scott has been determined to not find love since he lost someone he cared for. Ty has decided to push Scott into trying the Cosland way the others on the ranch have been doing and maybe then he would give love a chance again. When Scott meets Grave he is taken by her drawn to her but wont give in to the want, when Ty meets her he decides she is the one right away. This book is about finding ones self and owning your own choices, letting the past go and finding love gain and trusting in each other to protect and keep each other safe and loved. This is a heartwarming book that will make you swoon for these two incredible cowboys and bring on the steamy hotness it will make you blush. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

Grace is a great rider with dreams of making it to the Olympics until the captain of her team packs every thing up and abandons the team leaving Grace high and dry.
Ty and Scott are two cowboys that work The Kingston Ranch along with waiting for their perfect girl to come along.
Grace's older sister Blake convinces Grace to come to Kingston Ranch to train until she can find another riding team.
Sparks fly between the three and things start to heat up until an overbearing, user of a mother and the remnants of a broken heart threatens to tear the thrupple apart before they can truly begin.
Danielle Hart has struck gold again with the second book of the Kingston Ranch Series, Keeping Grace.
If you love strong and dominant cowboys and feisty independent ladies who need the love to keep them strong you will love Keeping Grace. I couldn't put it down.

This was a cowboy romance.

Though you can read this as a standalone, you really need to read the first book. It will definitely help you keep all the players straight.

Grace Henderson is penniless, homeless and jobless after her coach dumps her and her team. She runs to get older sister Blake at the King Ranch for help. Her dream is to ride on the Olympic team. Her sister takes on the job of her coach/trainer.

Scott and Ty are cowboys who live and work on the ranch. They share a cabin and are looking to share a woman as well. Scott lost his fiancee in a riding accident six years ago.

They hook up and start catching feelings for each other. Grace has to re-evaluate her goals and future after her terribly controlling mother shows up at the ranch trying to get her to depend on her again. Grace feels torn between going back under her mother's control and finally standing up for herself.

Learning to trust

Scott, Ty, and Grace all had something in common. They need to learn how to trust. Trust themselves, trust their choices and then to trust each other. Grace came to King's Ranch to be with her sister when her coach stole the team's money and dropped the team. Grace's sister has agreed to help train her and her horse in hopes of finding another team and making it to the Olympics. This is a MFM read where it takes two a lot of work, communication, trust and love to make a relationship a success and then have an extra partner to incorporate for a happy beginning to their ever after. Well rounded characters and storyline, plenty of passion and wonderful story. Enjoy 🤓

Grace has been betrayed by her former trainer, leaving her high and dry. Taking refuge with her sister at King's Ranch, she hopes to reset her goals. Ty and Scott work and live at the ranch. The chemistry between the trio begins to build, even as Scott remains hesitant after past heartbreak. The story is entertaining with just the right amount of drama, romance and heat. Add into that the loving and loyal relationships between family and friends makes this a sexy, sweet read.

I was so excited to read this book and stayed excited all the way through. After reading Claiming Blake, I needed more. I love that it was a continuation of the first book without being from the same characters viewpoints. The Author did an amazing job describing the characters but not giving too much description that leaves some aspects to the imagination. Love this book 100% recommend!!!

Grace was on the way to the Olympics until everything came crashing down. Now she has no choice then to ask her sister for help. She moved to the Kings Ranch to continue to train with her sister as her coach. Grace soon met two sexy cowboys she wouldn’t mind getting to know better. This story was very steamy and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Grace, Scott, and Ty

This is a very good, well written, modern, cowboy romance. The characters are well developed, interesting, and lovable. Grace comes to the ranch for her sister to train her for the Olympics but she does not have a team. Read and learn how she finds her team. Read and enjoy.

This is a well written Menage story with great characters. This one you need to take your time with, so you get all the issues straightened out. Please remember this is a Menage story and if that isn't something you like you don't need this one. I enjoyed this one and I think you will also. This one is worth your time.

This book has a good storyline with interesting characters. KEEPING GRACE hits all the spots for me as a reader. It has angst, laughter, sizzle, great characters, and a wonderful ending. I can’t ask for more than that in a book.

Written to the same formula as the first. So disappointed.

A repeat of the first book with different characters and actions. Nothing new or interesting. They get together, they part, they get back together.
