What a great ending!

Wow what a series this was. This was a new breath of fresh air compared to the PNR books I'm used to. Harper kept me guessing what the heck was going on the whole way through!

The third and final book in the Moon Kissed series. Tasha and Reid and literally fighting for their lives. With Reid's father back in the picture, he is determined to end Reid's reign as alpha. But they need to fight for the pack, those who won't just bend under Edmund's rule. There's an interesting plot twist that I didn't see coming which took me by surprise and I'm all there for it.

It was a great conclusion to a series I've really enjoyed and can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

This is the final book in this series and it does not disappoint. Tasha and Reid are still fighting for their lives and the lives of the pack. A surprise guest puts a new spin on things. Some serious plot twists and major steam in this book. What a great ending to this series.

Edmund is alive and Carmen is by his side, his lover. But that isn’t the hardest part to swallow for Tasha, it is the look of triumph and hatred in her younger sister’s eyes as she faces her. Everything she had done, was to help in her search for Carmen, to bring her home. It was almost incomprehensible to Tasha that Carmen had been with Edmund the whole time.
Tasha and Reid are caged in separate cells, in the dungeon. How did this happen? Reid had promised her he would protect her. Where was the strong Alpha, she had come to love? It’s as if he has accepted defeat without a fight. Fury and pain washed over Tasha, as she looked at Reid. They were the companion’s trying to block out the love she had for him. At this moment she hated him. She had trusted him and again he had failed her.
Reid watched as his father parades Carmen, pawing her, in front the cells, easily demonstrating his total dominance over the young witch. He sees the pain in Tasha’s eyes, as she watches the disgusting display. All he wants to so is reach out to touch her, to take away her pain. His pain almost overwhelms him as he faces his father. Once again, he is the small child cowering as his father stands over him, with his threats, beatings and punishments. His father is once again in control, the pack following his orders, their jailers his father’s henchmen. Even Mae and her coven of witches are at Edmund’s beck and call.
Even if Tasha and he could somehow free themselves, where would they go? How could they defeat so many against them. Finally left alone, to starve in the cold cells, Tasha’s mind returns to the change in her younger sister. Carmen had been the stronger of the two witches, but she had never been cruel, so filled with hatred. What had Edmund done to her? She didn’t have to wait too long. Carmen came down to share the horrors she had faced, as she accused Tasha of abandoning her. She had a proposition for Tasha, kill Reid and she could go free. Tasha took the knife from Carmen, as she was released her from the cell. Tasha watched Reid’s face as she approached his cell.
The look on his face told her of his love and his acceptance that by his death, Tasha would be free.
In the end there is a battle coming. Not everyone will come away unscathed, for there has been treachery a foot, as well as fear, that will hold some back. Can Reid and Tasha together break the chain of horror Edmund has wrought? Though Tasha loves Reid, she has had a hard time accepting him as her mate, will they finally come together as one or will all that fight against them separate them?

With this final tale that began with “The Wolf Hunter,” we will get answers we won't always want to hear, there is heartbreak, betrayal, abuse for those who couldn't defend themselves and a fight to end the reign of tyranny. Shifters, witches, heroes with flaws, evil incarnate, Tasha and Reid will face this and more in their fight to offer a better life for the pack.
The journey that Tasha and Reid have traveled had me following closely on their heels, sharing their ups and downs, sitting on the edge of my chair in fear that one of them wouldn’t make it to the end. The ending was so full of suspense, I had to sit on my hands so I wouldn’t rush to the end of the book to see what happened.

Wolves, Witches, Politics, Betrayal. When I read the blurb of the first book in this series it was impossible not to want to read the book. And once I read the first one I of course also wanted to read the second one and once I read the second one I was really curious about the last one. I was therefore very happy that once more I was offered an arc by the author so I didn't have to wait any longer to read this finale!

A lot has happened in the first two books and it felt like there were a lot of storylines in need of being wrapped up. I was quite curious to see how the author was gonna do that in only one book. Well, let me start by saying that this book is one big rollercoaster. It picks up right where the second book ended and from then our characters are constantly on the tips of their toes and constantly trying to figure things out!

Since there is so much going on it's almost impossible to put the book away, but that doesn't mean the author didn't find some rare moments where the characters could talk things out or share their feelings. Compared to the second book this book was a breath of fresh air concerning the romance in general. The characters know what they want, they know who they love and they therefore know what they're fighting for and make really clear choices.

Most of the questions I still had after the previous two books are answered by the time the book ends. I don't want to give too much away, but both the storylines of the sister and the cause of the unrest in the pack are tackled and I love how the author connected all the different mysteries and made sure that it really becomes one big story in the end. However, if the author would want to I think there are still a lot of stories to tell in this world!

I really enjoyed this series but this conclusion was a let down for me.
The editing in this third book is lacking and there are typos and too much repetitive internal dialogue, to the extent I started skipping.
Despite the relationship between Tasha and Reid progressing, Tasha's trust issues don't improve and become a bit monotonous causing me to start disliking her. Reid never quite gets that alpha vibe I was hoping for. I know he is doing his best not to be like his Father, but he is portrayed as clueless half of the time. They both talk such a good game and make so many promises of protection and retribution, and then continue to fail miserably at putting it into practice.
Finally, the plot is what excited me the most with this series and I was expecting a lot of answers in this final installment which I didn't get; Why in the world did the original alpha fake his death and leave the pack in the first place? What was the great advantage to doing so? Why did the witches need Reid dead and what was the significance of Tasha being the one to do it? Who killed Reid's Mother? Where did Tasha's unique invisibility magic come from since it wasn't part of her witch heritage, and what caused it to go on the blink? What was the significance of Emily, why did she and Reid's 3rd try to take him out? Why was Mae so attached to Emily and so devastated by her death? Were Tasha's parents actually murdered? What is the immortal streak with the male wolves? First the Alpha didn't die, then scarface didn't die, then Reid didn't die..... How? Plenty of others do die! I thought the groundwork had been laid in the first two books for all sorts of clever twists and turns, so I was really frustrated when these things were just left unresolved.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

The Moon Kissed series wraps up with Wolf Protector the third and final book in the series. Everything has been leading up to this and somehow the crazy got even more explosive leading up to a dramatic conclusion.

Tasha and Reid have had their up and downs in both their lives and personal relationship. Tasha is trying to trust after so much disappointment and Reid is learning that he needs to make improvements to be a better alpha. Tasha finally admits her feelings for Ried, it just took her a moment to get there. Reid never gave up and good thing too because it turns out when Tasha stops fighting her feelings, they actually make for a caring couple and have someone that they can totally depend on.

This book was a little crazy. At the end of Wolf Tamer, we learned that Edmund Holden, Reid's father, was freaking alive and you know a guy that evil coming back from the dead is never a good thing. Turns out that was just the tip of the iceberg, the witches have lost their minds, and enemies at every turn, a shocking (and a little disgusting) plot twist made things very interesting. Heck, it was complete mayhem with betrayal, magic, and deaths galore. A fair amount was revealed about both the Redcliff Pack and the Buson witches which cause nothing but problems for Reid and his allies but they overcame it in the end.

Wolf Protector was a great ending to the series, I will admit that I'm a little surprised that Tasha and Reid got their happy ending but I'm glad they did. I enjoyed the Moon Kissed series and am curious about what project Brooks is working on next.

How do you keep me at the edge of my seat? This book is how! Following Reid and Tasha through this series has been a wonderfully dramatic experience! And boy was this final book in the series dramatic!
Tasha's entire purpose to life is to find her younger sister, abducted and given to the wolves, as part of a pact between witches and wolves. Only when she finally is confronted with the truth, she realises how duped she was, what lengths both the witches and wolves take to achieve their goal. Well maybe ONE witch and ONE wolf were the masterminds. And not for the good of their respective clan/pack but, yes, you guessed it, sheer dominance!
The pull Reid and Tasha feel cannot be denied, although trust is harder to get to, their rather volatile relationship is really a great read, the way they finally shed the shackles of their past, one step forward, two steps back, until total acceptance is given by both. Now that was a sight to see, or rather read! Their past almost defines who they have become, but they break through in the most spectacular way.
There were some shocking betrayals, hey, your loved ones should have your back right? Noooo, not always, although the reasons behind the betrayal is revealed, I felt sympathy for all of them. Having a parent like Edmund can only mess one up.
I was caught off guard a few times, the twists were so well placed. This fast paced, highly immersive book had me cheering and booing and a few times even crying! A great conclusion to the series

So book three starts where book two ended, so it’s important to read the two previous books before starting this one.

It’s all go from the first page!
Betrayal on both sides for our main characters, they aren’t sure who to trust…..

Lost siblings, resurrected fathers and the witches are still against the shifters!!

Reid doesn’t know wether he can trust his senses or his father
Tasha was going for a sibling reunion. Well she got one, but it wasn’t the reunion she was expecting! Tasha has spent years looking for her sister, blaming the Redcliff for her disappearance, plotting her revenge. And now, it seems it was all for nothing….. Her sister didn’t want to be found, she had an agenda, and it didn’t include her sister!
So it looks like the only one they can trust is one another. Working together to unite the pack under Reid (although daddy dearest is trying to cause upheaval) is proving a challenge…..

This has to be my favourite book of the series. The link between Reid and Tasha is growing stronger, and so is their trust in one another. (Better late than never)
Really well written and attention to detail was spot on.
Great characters, heroes you’ll be cheering on and villains you’ll be booing at and throwing popcorn!
It’s a fast paced action and adventure story with a big helping of steam 🥵
The twists you don’t see coming, the turns that will have your head in a spin!
Sad to see this adventure come to an end, to be honest the ending did take me by surprise!

Wolf Protector is the third and final book in the Moon Kissed series and this final book picks up where book two left off. The surprise of the "century" is here for the characters as Reid's dad is apparently alive and kicking. How you may ask? Well, apparently this man had a plan all along and the time has come to bring it all to light. Letting go of control? Yeah, he never had any intention of doing that. But he was never alone in his activities. He always had help. Now, Reid and Tasha have a lot on their hands to handle, and it's not going to be easy if they want to come out of this alive.
Wolf Protector is engaging and has just the right amount of twists and turns. I do feel that the characters are a bit slow on the uptake in a couple of places though. It's expressly stated by specific characters who is working with Edmund, but it's like they aren't paying attention. It's a bit bizarre, but the storyline still flows pretty good.
You get a good HEA with this novel, and all the loose ends get tied up nicely. If you enjoyed the series then you're going to want to find out how it all ends. Rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Wolf Protecter is the last book in the Moon Kissed series and was just as fabulous as the others and did NOT disappoint. Picking up right where the last book left us, this book takes us right on an emotional action packed journey right to the very end!

After discovering that Reid's father Edmund is not only alive but also working with Tasha’s sister Carmen to bring them all down, Tasha and Reid begin to question all that they knew. With no other choice then to lean on each other in order to escape, they soon realize that they need to build their mate bond and powers in order to survive. As they work together to overthrow Edmund and save the pack and make new allies along the way more revelations are made that will leaving them rocked to the core. However all is not lost as enemies become friends and hope is once again restored.

Harper Brooks masterfully weaves a tale so vivid it pulls you right into the story with phenomenal world building, lovable characters and a plot full of action, intrigue and tons of secret revelations. If you’re a fan of this series then you MIST read this one for an amazing conclusion.

Final Battle…

With Reid’s father alive and in control he puts Tasha and Reid down in the dungeon. Tasha is fuming mad and angry with Reid. It seems he’s given up and cowering to his abusive father.
Being stuck they have to try and figure a way to escape.
Carmen, Tasha’s lost sister, is very much found but in the arms of Edmund, Reid’s father. She has been convinced by Edmund that he is the right Alpha and to do as he says. He wants Tasha to kill Reid in exchange for her release.
Tasha knows she can’t kill her mate no matter how mad she is with him. She uses the moment to distract her sister long enough for her and Reid to escape.

Through lies, betrayal and fear they must come up with a plan to finally put an end to Edmund and save the pack from his tyrant ways.

Through fierce fighting and near death experiences they are able to make a dent into this battle.

There are twists and unexpected turns that will have you riding an emotional rollercoaster.
This was a great conclusion to Reid and Tasha’s story.

Book 3 picks up after the bombshell ending of book 2 - Edmund is alive! I spent the most of the beginning of book 3 trying to figure out what was going on, just like Reid and Tasha. What we heard of Edmund before did not paint a flattering picture and he is even less likable in the flesh. He is twisted enough to put his own sons through this nightmare, just to get the ending he wants. The only thing not going to plan - the bond between Tasha and Reid.

We learn where Carmen has been and what she has been through at Edmund's hands - not pretty. Sensitive readers may want to use caution. Her story made my skin crawl.

With what looks like everything against them, Reid and Tasha find out they are not as alone as they thought. It is a hard battle, but they finally earn the happy ending they deserve.

I loved the characters and their banter. A series I could see myself reading again. Story was immersive, and I did not want to come up for air until the very last page.

I received an advanced copy of this story and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

This final book in the series picks up right at the cliffhanger where book 2 left off, you know the one where Reid's dad is back from the dead.....it gets even better though when Tasha finds out that her sister, whom she's been searching for for years has been right under her nose this whole time.....working with Reid's evil father. Things go from bad to worse real fast for Tasha and Reid. They've finally accepted their mate bond and now it seems like they are both going to die before they get their happily ever after. What a roller coaster ride this last book is as you finally find out who they can trust, who has been deceiving them this whole time and just what the heck has been going on with all the disappearing witches. The author does a fantastic job of balancing the action with the steamy parts. Loved this series and this final book did a great job of wrapping the story up.

Will they or won't they, that's been the question all along. Reid and Tasha have been battling everything and everyone since the moment Tasha accepted the job that led her to Reid.
Those battles of course include fighting each other. But as we near the end of our trilogy Tasha and Reid will be forced to lean on each other more then ever, but not before their newly growing trust is pushed to the extremes to create even more distance in their new and growing troubled times.
This last chapter in the trilogy is packed with plenty of action, lots of great word volleying, plenty of joking tinged with sarcasm only an older brother can deliver, and a villain that just won't die.
So if you're looking for a fun, action packed, werewolf, witches, magic and an HEA kind of story look no further.

Oh wow this entire series has been a total rollercoaster and this final book was wild! This was a whirlwind. So much was happening, my heart was racing, Tasha and Reid went through some incredible experiences. Enemies back from the dead, missing sister found, and not a happy reunion. Political strife, betrayal , mayhem and magic, conflicting feelings between Tasha and Reid just add to the already intense playing field. I enjoyed every page! I thought things concluded well, many questions were answered, storylines connected and overall I liked how this series ended. This was a well written and well paced amazing story that kept me thoroughly entertained the entire series. The characters are so well developed, the world building and storyline are phenomenal. I appreciated the attention to detail and the well laid out descriptions. I look forward to reading more from this authour!

Moon Kissed series concludes with a fantastic ending. Book three picks up where book two left off. The punches just keep on coming for Tasha and Reid. Edmund is back from the grave and Carmen is by his side. Reid’s worst nightmare. Tasha has been searching for her sister Carmen for years and she has been working with Reid’s father the whole time. The family drama is raining supreme in this crazy rollercoaster ride.
I loved these characters and was rooting for them through it all. There for a little bit I was on the edge of my seat thinking Reid and Tasha weren’t going to make it after all the have gone through. They have had a long journey to get to where they are. Learning to trust wasn’t easy. This author did a phenomenal job with this series and can’t wait to see what they do next. Highly recommend this series.

Wow. What an amazing way to end the series. It's filled with revelations of the secrets they've all been living under, and many of them are not at all what I had been expecting. When this book started, Tasha was not my favorite character for the way she was treating Reid. But, it didn’t take long for the circumstances to change and I was in love with her kick-butt self again. This was the perfect end to the series and I’m already feeling a little bereft that I have to let go of these characters now. There’s several of the supporting cast that I’ve started to fall for, and I hope we might get to see them star in books of their own in the future.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

This was a wonderful third and final book of the Moon Kissed series. Full of action between our two main characters as well as just being an action packed plot. It did get a little confusing with at some points but once I slowed down and read through things a bit more carefully, I was able to realize I was just reading too fast because I was getting swept away with the story and the characters.

If I had to sum this book up in a few words, I think I would choose 'betrayal' and 'trust' as these things kept coming back up time and time again.

Even though there is loss in this book, we do see a HEA for our dynamic duo as well as a possible way to have a spin off if the author so chooses.

This is the final book in the Moon Kissed trilogy and it is action packed to the end. Tash and Reid have not had a brake from anything so far in their relationship and this book is no different, and I love that about the series, that the good guys don't win every fight or always end up the winners for everything.
There are a few twists and turns in this book, and a betrayal that I did not see coming.
There are been lot of things going on so far in this series and this book does give you the answers you've been waiting for.
I've loved Tash as a character, she hasn't just fallen at Reid's feet, she's stood up for herself and shown that she can protect herself. Reid has been interesting too, he's an alpha who's had to fight for everything.

Left it all on the floor and then took some more

Tasha, an assassin with witch blood, has refused to kill Reid, the alpha of the wolf pack in her home town, until she was darn good and ready. Now that fact has come back to bite her after the events in Wolf Tamer. As the story progresses ghosts of their pasts revive, an enemy sends their emotions in a dive, and the battle to win the war may not be one they survive. Wolf Protector left it all on the floor and then took some more. I would love to see Tasha and Reid’s story continue, but this is the end of their road. Now I can only hope that the nugget dropped at the end turns into another set of books.

I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

I thought the way this series ended was PHENOMENAL! I loved how the circumstances kind of forced Tasha and Reid to address the lingering hesitations in their relationship and really solidified their bond. I also loved that we got to see karma exacted on all the characters that mattered. I think my absolute favorite part was watching Tasha and Carmen's relationship evolve throughout the story. I loved that although it felt fruitless, Tasha never gave up on her sister through the entire book. That just really resonated with me. I think the fight scene gave me a few heart palpitations but I've recovered and was smiling by the end of the book, so hopefully that gives you incentive to read this fabulous series!

This is the series concluding title, and it is filled with lots of action. Poor Tasha and Reid are really put through the wringer in this one. I have to be honest, though: Reid never really did it for me. I found him just a tad too weak and wishy-washy at times. However, that didn’t stop me from enjoying this last book. Tasha is a strong character, and I enjoyed her and Reid coming back from the revelation of Edmund being alive. This was a good conclusion, and I’m looking forward to what the author has in store for us readers. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Oh my goodness! Tasha and Reid are trying to work out their mating bond, then they find out that people they believed to be dead really aren’t. We pick up right where book two leaves off, and Tasha and Reid find out that Edmund that packs ex-alpha and Reid’s father is most certainly not dead! And Carmen, Tasha’s sister who everyone believed was dead is teamed up with Edmund. As the story progresses we find out secrets and a lot of betrayals. With all that is going on Tasha and Reid must strengthen their mate bond and Tasha’s magic to beat Edmund and Carmen and end all of this craziness! This was one crazy, wild ride with a lot of action and an amazing ending!

This series has been awesome since book one and this third and final book hits the ground running as we pick up from where book two left us and the rollercoaster has just started! There’s action, there’s suspense, there’s intrigue, there’s betrayal, there’s danger and the twists and turns keep the coaster rolling! The author has done an incredible job bringing the storylines to a close, answering all unanswered questions and these characters have really been put through the ringer! It’s been exciting, it’s been intense and it’s been one hell of a ride and the author gave us one hell of an epic ending that I did not predict but am very happy with!

What an ending! This entire series is so bingeable and I'm glad it's complete, so I can start right over and just enjoy it all in one go. So. Good!
"He can't be here because I saw him in his casket. I saw him before we lowered him into the ground."
The twists and turns and all the betrayal are heart wrenching, starting with Reid's father coming to life, bringing another left hook revelation with him, but I love how it all comes to a conclusion and the mysteries are solved. I've loved everything I've read from this author, and this series is no exception. If you love paranormal romance with love against all odds, plenty of action and heart stopping revelations, you need the Moon Kissed series in your life.

What an excellent ending to this series!! Tasha and Reid are such a power couple. This book picks up with the shock of finding that Reids father is still alive. We also learn that Tasha sister is working with him. Tasha and Reid must fight for their lives at every turn. Tasha is devastated by how her sister has deceived her for years. It makes her question everything with Reid. They must work together to escape the vicious Edmund. They are start to see who is really on their side. Its a fight to the death. There is a lot of action in this book. It's very fast paced making it a very quick easy enjoyable book. I wasn't ready for their story to be over.

Great ending to this series. Tasha steps up and owns her destiny, after a bit of pouting and self pity and torturing Reid. Reid is truly trying his best in a crappy situation. Carmen is back and aligned with Edmund and the witches.
Tasha and Reid have to escape the dungeons of his home and fight to get it all back from the monster that is his father.
A very well written battle ensues, vividly and brilliantly described. I'll leave you to find out what happens, no spoilers!
Epic! Colorful and dramatic story!
