Drs Shireen and Zahra Kassam, along with registered dietitian Lisa Simon, have succeeded in producing a truly excellent resource in the field of plant-based nutrition. The clinical community has been crying out for this much-needed textbook, which not only details the "whys" of recommending a whole food plant-based (WFPB) diet for our patients but also - and very importantly - the "how".
No stone has been left unturned, with chapter 1 giving a detailed overview of the impact of plant-based dietary patterns on health and disease and the final three chapters dedicated to examining the barriers to following a WFPB diet, actioning this in clinical practice and - finally - the imperative need for us to adopt this way of eating for planetary, as well as individual, health. The intervening chapters follow a system-based approach, with contributions for numerous well-respected experts in the field.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough, and am so grateful to the editors and authors for bringing this to our bookshelves. I will return to this time and again in my daily work, and also for general interest's sake. Thank you.

I loved this book. So much great information I will be using in my clinic. I hope they continue to update this book as the science around plant based eating expands.
