I’m a husband and author, and I may be a little religious about both. I like writing hot sex and encapsulating it in the delicate white silk of devotion, commitment, and psychotic obsession.

Dom Wars Round 2 was intensely erotic and beautifully moving, and I have now been totally seduced by this series and by Lucian Bane. In the first book we met the characters, watched them fall in love, and hoped for the best. That against all odds their love would survive not only their own demons, but the Dom Wars competition as well. Round Two picks up just as the battle for ultimate Dom begins. Trust is the key for winning this Round and there's very little time to build it. Lucian knows he'll have to work quickly to break down Tara's walls, starting in the bedroom, but ultimately, it'll be the walls around her heart he'll have to topple, in order to win her love and the second round. Round 2 is filled with scorchingly hot and intense themes of submission, as Lucian Bane, in full Dom mode, battles his way into Tara's heart and mind and starts to slay her fears one by one. Ufortunately, Tara has spent a lifetime building those walls to protect herself and she's not willing to let them come down without a fight. So it's two steps forward and one step back as they struggle for power and dominance, and to build the trust they'll need to win not only their own battle for love, but for ultimate Dom. Just as Lucian breaks her walls down sexually Tara reinforces the ones around her heart, testing all his control and dominance, and forcing him to battle his own inner demons to save them both. Luckily Lucian Bane isn't afraid of a challenge and he's determined to win the war for her heart and soul. Intensely erotic and sexual and fueled by love, Lucian Bane shows what it means to be a true Dom. He proves again and again that her mind, body and soul are truly safe with him, and if she'd only fully surrender them, he'd guard them with his life. A truly pivotal Round, not only in the competition, but for their love, Round 2 proves that ultimately, without trust , you can never truly submit your heart to another.

This one was... seriously-someone-call-the-fire-department kind of HOT!!! It's still Hunger Games for the BDSM world and I am still loving that aspect of it but what was going on between these two behind the scenes was one heck of a spectacle...

That scene at 85%ish was enough alone to read the book. My goodness!!! Lucian Bane...

This is definitely a 4/4.5* read for me.

This one left off just where the first ended, at the competition for the Ultimate Dom. These challenges were definitely harder than the first, more mentally challenging and based on trust between the couple essentially.

I love Tara and Lucian, they really pull you into their story and have you falling in love with them both even more! Tara is still very feisty and is determined to be the Dom in the relationship. She does make me laugh sometimes and then really feel for her at other times.

Lucian is in love with Tara and wants to protect her in everything, he wants there to be more between them than just the DOM Wars and gaining points, but although Tara enjoys and is fully committed in the things they do you can still see that her walls are up and she is in it for the points gaining, or is kidding herself that is the only thing she is there for anyway.

Again there are very HOT scenes in this, written so well and you can clearly feel the passion between them. Cannot wait for the next round to see what challenges are brought on them this time and hoping to see more of Tara's walls come down as she opens herself up to Lucian more.

Trust is so fragile and yet it's the only thing that can slay the hero's demons.

Lucian Bane has done it again! I LOVE this series! It's very real and raw and full of emotion. He paints such a beautiful picture. I love the gorgeous, flawed, deeply grooved characters. They are so complex and I know that I've just scratched the surface of knowing them. I want to know more. Have you ever had a worn out recording that you hear something for the first time, when listening to the song for the hundredth time and it surprises you? That's how I feel about the characters in this series. I feel as though I've just gotten to know them and another layer is peeled back, laid bare for me to feast on. The way the author writes women is spectacular! The author's love and respect for women always shines through, so beautifully in his writing.

If this book had a theme, it would be the fleeting nature of trust. It makes you examine it with a fine tooth comb. What is happening here? They're put through such a fast-paced relationship, it's electrifying. It was as if trust was just grasped with both hands, but held too tightly and it squished away, like clay in a fist. But you SO want Tara and Lucian to make the beautiful vase out of that clay.

And I love the prose. Such a unique voice, this author has. Quickly emerging as one of my favorites! Make no mistake, this book is HOT! But the sex is always beautifully, emotionally and purposefully written. It really rocks my world! Lucian is so hungry for Tara's trust, his hunger is like another character in the book. It grows and shifts, vacillating between moments of extreme frustration and sweet satiation. I love the moments of sweetness in the book, it's like a balm for the angst the characters feel and that the reader experiences right along with them. I can't wait for Dom Wars Round Three!

*Mild spoilers if you haven't read 'Round One'*
'You say you're a Dom. Well, here I am. Dominate me if you can.'

description

Loving and caring Dom, Lucian, is determined to tear down Tara's walls. Tara is bossy, feisty and Lucian just loves how challenging she can be. But Tara sees her relationship with Lucian as nothing but a game, she's willing to go too far to become the Ultimate Dom.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

'Round Two' feels more Big Brother-ish and it's not as fun as the last book. The challenges are different, they are about their knowledge of one another and how much trust they have in one another. I loved Dom/sub switching in this book and I’m really enjoying the series, the characters are fresh.

Only problem is, is the ridiculous price.
Book 1 is currently £1.02/$1.71, and 2 and 3 are £3.08/$5.17 each!
Not so bad if they were full length, but at approx 80-100 kindle pages each, and 6 books in the series... well, can I say rip off?

Lucian Lucian Lucian... *Swoon*

Lucian really knows how too keep it under control in high pressured situations. Throughout the beginning I Disliked the way Tara was with
Lucian he bared his heart for her and made sure she was okay when things
go tough for Tara. I loved how she let him but shut him out later. There wasn't much explaining what was up with her and why she continued to be Hot and Cold but overall... They are one HOT SIZZLING COUPLE!

I loved the way Dom Wars in this book showed how its not all about the sex to be a Dom but the way it also leads to outside of the room. Them adding Fear Factor games with Sexual competitions in the mix really does help build trust. And boy did some of the Games have me almost jumping out of my skin in pure Intense Fear mode haha

Boy oh Boy Ditzy Blonde Danielle push my buttons I felt for Tara on that one there were times I wanted to slap the fakeness off her and maybe strangle the B*** haha

Throughout this book you can say Tara and Lucian's trust in each other are definitely put to the test but will Tara allow Lucian passed the walls shes constantly putting up???

I definitely love this series and will continue to read more!!

Lucian dominates yet another round!

In Dom Wars Round 2 we get to see the characters grow and learn a little background about them both. It was fun to see the development between books 1 & 2 as well as the issues that arose as the two of them grew closer. Bane allowed us to see the barriers breaking and the trust growing between Lucian & Tare in this round. While it was sometimes a bit annoying watching Tara fight the inevitable it certainly allowed us to feel what Lucian was feeling in the book.

Bane poured a lot of himself and his beliefs into his character, Lucian Bane, such as the way he views women and his defining nature to protect, cherish and dominate. It is so outside of the realm of what authors in the BDSM genre are doing lately and it is refreshing to see.

There are definitely some hot scenes in this book and some you may not expect a Dom to partake in but there is also the presence of romance. The way he is willing to do just about anything for her even when he doesn't quite understand it himself.

Ask yourself when was the last time you sacrificed who YOU are to allow someone else to be who THEY are.

Emotionally Stirring:

Dom Wars 2 is a continuation of the reality contest that Lucian and Tara are in. During this second book, we see the development of the two characters. Lucian, who loves Tara, tries to tear down her emotional walls by making her see that she can trust him, both in and out of the bedroom. Tara, still has her walls up but they do start crumbling for Lucian. As Tara's lover, Lucian is connected spiritually and physically To her. She is his reason for living. Their love making is sensual and hot. He is driven to make her whole again by his love.

Mr Bane truly understands the essence of love between a man and a woman. His writing speaks to me personally and gives me hope that love does burn in us all. I recommend this series with all my heart. You will discover Mr Bane as your new favorite author and friend

Combined review for Dom Wars Round 1 & 2

**4.25 surprising stars overall**

And there's another male erotic author on the block. But this one is on a mission. A mission to squash everything we think we know about D/s relationships. A mission to get us to open our minds to a different type Dom. An INEFFABLE Dom. And I'd say he's off to a good start.

Charming. Witty. Funny. And hot! When I finished w/these books, those are the words that come to mind. Not at all what I was expecting to get out of this series. Once I settled in and just let the story take me? I loved it!

Lucian and Tara find themselves partnering up at Dom Wars. They make a deal to work together and if one of them wins, they'll split the money w/the other. It doesn't take long before Lucian realizes Tara may be what he had no idea he needed. But will Tara let down her guard long enough to trust him?

For the most part I enjoyed these two. Lucian is, well he's Lucian. You can't help but be drawn to him. He's caring, confident, smart, funny and sexy. Everything he does is w/Tara's best interest above his own. I guess some of the things could make Lucian appear to be "weak". But for me it was opposite. It made me enjoy him even more. He's still just a man w/feelings at the end of the day. No matter if he's a Dom or not. He's a man first. And I loved that he's ok w/that. **sigh**

Tara. Oh goodness. This is why I said "I mostly" enjoyed these two. I was completely on board w/Tara til about half way into the second book. At this point though, I'm hoping I can have the same amount of patience Lucian appears to have w/her lol. I'm really hoping she grows in the next book. I need her to trust her instincts and quit pushing at Lucian. I know she has grown to care for him and maybe that's why it's so frustrating for me. I will for sure be sticking around w/this series to find out :)

The last thing I'd say is, this is more than a series for this author. Like I said above, it's a mission. And one I gotta say I have great respect for. It can't be easy to come out w/a "real people" story and release it w/all our fav book Doms running around. Already I've watched an open dialogue start about the D/s lifestyle. One where there's no shame and where readers feel comfortable to start speaking up in their own relationships.

Well done Lucian Bane. Well done. You have started the conversation and planted the seed. Stay the course :)

Lucian Bane does it again. An arrow straight to the heart and soul of the matter. Just when you think that you've got it figured out... You don't. Seeing both Lucian and Tara struggle for victory, I found myself wondering when they would realize that they are fighting the SAME fight? Tara lives in her head, full of self loathing and self doubt, while trying to convince herself that she's got it all under control. She clearly isn't controlling her mind enough to see what is directly in front of her. The answer to her question. The light to her dark. A man willing, wanting, and able to give her the world.

In the opposite corner is Lucian, a man tormented by his need to define his place in the world. What is his worth? His role? Let his world make him or break him? He sees his path and it's meaning staring back at him and breathing his breaths but the closer he gets, the farther away he seems. Quicksand.

The ride isn't over for either of these champions. There isn't a 'quick release' from their torture and neither of them is falling on their sword- yet. These characters pull you in from the start and you cannot help but want to shout at them to get it together. And yet your heart aches for them to see what you see. I need for these two to make it out of this before they lose themselves and each other all together.

Fantastic! Amazing! Wonderful! There are not enough adjectives to describe this book! The story continues with Lucian Bane and Tara Reese as they move onto the level of Dom Wars. But not only do they manage to make it to the next stage of the contest but they delve deeper into each other. In this book you learn more about them both, reaching a better understanding of what makes them both tick. But I am sure there is more to come to learn all about those skeletons in the closet. The heat takes it's toll on them both. Lucian Bane is not only strong minded and strong willed but he has a heart of gold. An understanding we as women wish more men had. Tara struggles to break free of her past. In my opinion they both learn more about each other on this path to not only win Dom Wars but each other. This book totally moved along with smooth ease from the first book to this one. Which I love when it comes to series. Lucian Bane delivers AGAIN! It has everything you want in a book, from two characters that are perfect within their imperfections. Hot steamy sex scenes. A story that ravels itself about your heart and imaginatin. I may seem repetitive in saying this...BUT THIS SERIES IS A MUST READ.

OMGEEEEE! Lucian and Tara are back and they are still up to all kinds of craziness! I cannot believe how much I am loving this series. I feel like it is my guilty pleasure. It is just so cray. The first book was really hilarious and I laughed hysterically through most of it. Round Two is funny too, but I really felt like I got to know the characters backgrounds and personalities better. Lucian…ohhh Lucian. You are just so damn sexy. I cannot get enough of him. He is just the right combination of Dom and Gentleman and lord…I need aftercare. Lots and lots of aftercare. Whew.

Tara is just as neurotic and wackadoodle as ever but you cannot help but love her silly ass. Now, Lets discuss the sexy time in this book. Dear Lord Sweet Baby Jesus! It was so hot. Just so damn SMOKING HOT! So taboo..it even made me blush. Oh, I loved it!

Damn, Author Lucian Bane did it again! He proved me wrong with the first Dom Wars and Round Two was even better. I kind of hate myself for how much I like this insane series. Oh well, when is the next?!

I was so happy that Round Two came out so close on the heels of the first book! The wait was well worth it! Do I love Tara and Lucian and their building relationship.....of course! Tara is the perfect blend of strength and submission. Like Lucian, I adore her feisty side and her intelligence. And Lucian, well there isn't much I don't love about him! He knows just when to reign Tara in to keep her safe, and he expectedly takes control during their sexual encounters to ensure she gets the maximum experience, but he also allows her to take charge when he knows she needs to. Their nights are hot and passionate, and daylight brings out all of their competitive moves. In addition to loving the characters Lucian Bane has created, I am also intrigued by the games themselves. Lucian not only give us some very unique scenarios, he puts you right in the action by providing very descriptive scenes. As the games amp up, so does the chemistry between Lucian and Tara. I'm so looking forward to Round Three, and based on Lucian's teaser about the theme for these next games, I'm sure it will be fascinating!!

Hot, hot, hot!

I loved Lucian in round one, in round 2 you will fall for him more, as you watch him and Tara compete in lots of trusting tasks.

They are steaming hot together in bed, the main problem being who will be playing dom their both fighting for control, I'm sure Tara loves submitting deep down!

Lucian is so caring and protective, but can he get through the walls she's built up.

Looking forward to round 3.

5 Stars. I thought this one would be easy to review but you tricked me Mr Bane. You again made me laugh, your story as usual is well written and a pleasure to read, you got me hot and bothered as I'm sure you intended, but you surprised me with tenderness and an emerging love worth fighting for. Then on page 89 you made me cry, "make me forget". Damn you.

Dom Wars Round One was a great read but Lucian Bane out did himself in Dom Wars Round Two. I have really enjoyed these books because I feel that I am understanding more about the Dom/Sub lifestyle, more so the Dom, by reading these books by an author who actually has lived and experienced said lifestyle. The books that I have read up until I started Dom Wars have been written by women authors who I don't think every lived this lifestyle. When they have written they have written from the male Dom POV without having truly experienced it or the submissive role.

We find that trust is a very important element in this type of relationship, which is a key factor in any type of relationships. I feel we, as readers, can relate to either one of the characters or both of the characters in some way or another. We all struggle in life to find out who we are and who we want to be. We see Tara struggling with who she sees herself as and who she wants to be but is too afraid to let loose and find that person with Lucian. She continues to revert back into her old ways and feeling.

The challenges that they must endure are those to evoke trust in each other. Without trusting one another they are bound to fail the tasks at hand. Lucian tries his best to evoke Tara to trust him but she is hesitant due to past experiences which hinder her to completely give in and trust him. We see as they go through the different challenges that they are growing and they are developing more trust in the other but it will take much more for there to be complete trust, if ever. These challenges are what they gain points from and will earn them a spot in the next round if they are able to succeed in them.

Tara and Lucian have definite chemistry but Tara is to busy trying to deny what she is feeling while Lucian is trying to evoke said feelings. They both are falling for the other but there are walls that are keeping this fact from being acted upon and to grow into something more. Most people in life want to find that person whom they can trust completely and live the rest of their lives. One thing that is holding Tara back I believe is that the reason for her being in these wars is to win the money to help her Gramma out and I think in her mind if she doesn't remain focused on that then she won't win. She can't let her feelings get in the way of her goal.

I recommend you read the Dom War Rounds they are awesome reads. There are many hot scenes with Tara and Lucian. Check out these reads and continue the rounds until we find out who the victors will be.

Passing Round 1 seemed to be difficult for both Lucian and Tara. But with all that difficulty, they came out on top. What surprised them both the most is the feeling they seemed to have towards each other. Now they advance and face other contestants all over the world. They continue to have challenges that bring out the good and bad from both of them.

"How could somebody endure what we f#ck!ng shared and not be affected? The idea that it didn't mean as much to her was more than I could stand, and f#ck I wanted to walk out of there and never turn back. And yet the enigma begged to be unraveled, begged to be confounded right the f#ck back. She was wrong about whatever was going on in her head. Dead wrong. And I was torn between proving it and getting as far away from her as I could.

Through most of this round I was screaming (in my head, of course) at Tara to stop being so afraid! Every time it seemed that Tara and Lucian gained a foothold, Tara would withdraw and they would lose that ground they gained. She tried her hardest throughout to keep herself distanced and not feel anything. "Just for points." While Lucian was struggling too to get Tara to believe that what they were sharing and feeling was real!. it was a tug of war on both. A war where emotions continued to grow.

"I slid my hand along her calf and explored her muscles, dominance humming along my nerve endings, begging to fill my fingers and mind until logic and hunger took what it had to have. Her. And all her hidden secrets. 'You're not being a very good Dom, I hope you realize.' I closed my eyes, focusing on just feeling. 'Do you even know what that is?' Did anybody? She didn't answer as I continued to explore the muscles on her upper thigh, making my way to the soft inner muscle. 'Im sorry.' I opened my eyes at hearing the truth in those words but not getting what they were for. 'Why, love?' She turned her face to the side. 'Costing us a million dollars? Likely?' 'Yes. You should be spanked.' I watched her face carefully, watched her struggle with herself. 'I should.'"

Only 3 days in this round, and as each day passes, they both fear not passing and never seeing each other again. But in the end it all comes down to trust and points. Will they make it?

Another favorite for me! I love Lucian's writing and look forward to more!! Worth all 5 Screaming O's and more!!

Holy shit, can I swear? Tough I need to use strong and profound language right now. I have just finished round 2 (ding ding)of this 6 part series. I mean come on this man, Lucian Bane, knows more about women and what they want than I think I know myself. Every letter pressed and word originated has more meanings to it than what he is stating. The feelings he expresses about himself, Tara and his BDSM world have such an impact on me.

Round 2 see's Tara with a different confidence, whether its a façade or she is beginning to feel this becomes more apparent as the book goes along. She is very good at appearing confident but every once in a while her mask slips and Lucian is right their to make sure it doesn't fall to far, but far enough to see through her. And see what she is trying to hide. Her true feelings maybe?????

Tara has more of a DOMME role throughout this book in the physical sense, but Lucian is right their being the Ineffable Dom and still holding his own, in his own way.

Lucian's feelings are so much more apparent and he is spelling it out loud and clear to her, but she just doesn't see it, Or does she? With more physical challenges I was very happy to see and read more of their personalities coming though. And the back and fourth banter between them both had me smiling and Laughing.
As ever Lucian descriptive words and use throughout 'The Scenes' were impeccable. To read how he cherishes a woman's body, how he wants to devour her makes you swoon, and your heart skip a beat and jump into your mouth. Yeah <<<<<<<< that's what happened to me alright!!!

Excerpt:
Before she could protest, I kissed her, Holding her face firmly between my hands and just devouring her, giving her all my need and hunger. ''Tell me you don't feel it. When we kiss, fucking tell me you don't feel it.'' The words rasped hot and furious.

See I told you. I can not wait for Round 3 of this book to come out. The only thing that is worrying me is that Lucian is going to lay his heart out on the line, give everything he has to Tara, and I'm just not sure what she will do...... Does her feelings go deep like Lucian's... Round Two (Dom Wars, #2) by Lucian Bane

I'm on your magical mystery ride...

Round Two picks up literally right where Round One left off. Team Lucian and Tara have made it through to represent the Red, White, and Blue in International Dom Wars! They're off to the races, picking up their paces, and neither one of them has any idea what is coming next only that they have to keep going.

We've learned at this stage why Tara is in it to win it. She's got Gramma to think about. Lucian? He's got his daddy issues, sure, but really? Is he just doing it for Tara now? To prove that he can? To stay with her? Does he genuinely love her? Is it all a game?

The fun part of this round is that they're both almost out of control all the way through it. They're fighting to be in charge when neither one of them seems willing to given ground enough to say exactly what they want out of the other. Lucian is more honest with himself than Tara. Tara is more methodical in her responses. They're both good at puzzles yet they can't seem to work one another out until it's almost too late and where will that land them?

Are they going to take home for the gold for Team USA or are they going to flunk out in the International round?

It's amazing to see what they are and are not willing to do to win. Tara goes a lot farther than I ever would have pegged her for being willing to go while Lucian backs off what could have been a simple challenge. He gives her more than I would have imagined while she takes more than I expected her to be able to handle.

This Round brings to light more of each of them while only making me hungry for the next one to begin. I think I hear the bells chiming now.

Dom Wars: Round Three, are you about to start? I know I'm ready. Here's five stars to Round Two in preparation. Let's hear it for game on.

It also brought the empty feeling I slept with every night no matter how much sex there was. It was as if I ate, but the food left by some hole in my stomach, never provided satisfaction or nourishment. It created a hungry monster inside me.”

“…she’d just done something to me. I didn’t know what it was, I only knew I was never going to be the same again.”

My Review:

I was not sure what to expect from these books, I hoped it wasn’t just going to be erotica - thankfully it wasn’t. To be honest, I was a little hesitant and procrastinated starting them - I wish I hadn’t. These books were well written, the story is enthralling, and I was sucked in quickly. Just thinking about the books days after reading them still leaves me a bit breathless. They are short and despite this not being my typical fare, I found I wasn’t willing - or able - to put them down until I finished. Although I must admit to occasionally needing to pause to gulp for air, find libation to rehydrate, or umm - change various articles of my clothing. I actually got a bit dizzy during one chapter.

I am ready to sign up as a Lucian Bane devotee and will be on the watch for the rest of his series. I suspect his flock is steadily growing and although of a different generation, will soon eclipse the numbers and intensity of the young followers of the likes of teen idols Justin Bieber or Lady Gaga. I imagine the poor man is currently being stalked and harassed by a panting mob of unsatisfied women who wave their panties and shriek his name as he tries to go about his daily life. And if his subsequent books are as captivating and intense as these first two, I may be joining them…

Lucian & Tara have survived the first elimination, stealing the hearts of the viewers who have catapulted them into round two. But when the challenges put forth rely on these two giving their trust blindly to one another, Tara might not be up for the challenge. She’s allowed him to dominate her body, she’s given in to her desires, but that is where her submission ends. Lucian can’t do anything as he watches her reconstruct her walls after every attempt of bringing them down. But he knows he’s not willing to give up that fight just yet.

In the second book I found myself enjoying the story a little more. There was still this struggle for me over some minor issues. But I found that I was being drawn in little by little as each part of the story progressed.

I have to admit that I am not a fan of Tara at this point. I am not sure if she is supposed to be this big of a hot mess, but damn this girl needs to get her head on straight. Her stubbornness is infuriating! As for Lucian , he has grown on me just a bit more. Sure he’s sexy, demanding and has dirty mouth; but there is this vulnerable side to him that is on display and I am loving that just as much as when he demands that she comes all over his cock. The final scene in this installment is off the charts hot. Not so much just the act carried out, but his reaction to the act.

As the story is set to continue I am hoping that Tara will stop being so wishy-washy about her emotions. I can see that Lucian is ready to go all in, but with Tara I just don’t know...

Holy moly of little people. Round 2 was even better than round 1. Lucian you have surpassed yourself. To read more about Tara throughout this book had me gripped. To read and see how she was trying to DOMME Lucian was amazing. Tara was more at the fore front I felt throughout this book. Lucian stepping back and handing the 'rains' over to her when he needed too. And to read that Lucian was WANTING to give himself over to her just made me weak at the knees.
To read how a man, a real man see's a woman, wants to cherish her every fibre, wants to devour her, wants to make every hair stand on edge, wants to push her to the edge, so far to the edge he tumbles down with her and she can only hold onto him tight, tight enough that he is starting to see and feel she is giving herself to him in more ways than in sex.

You want to scream to Tara to just let herself feel, let him LOVE you. But there's something holding her back, is it just a game for her or is her feelings coming though for him..
Excerpt:-
The Freedom was delicious. To be as sexual as I wanted with no care for whys. No care for if's. What's. Who's. Lucian gave me that. Lucian owned that part of me. Controlled it. Brought it out. She existed because of him. For him.

Round 3 can't come quick enough, with what was revealed will be happening in the next round I think this 6 part series is going to be the BEST READ OF 2014.
Fantastic writing Lucian. You are a true gent, a real man, a real freaking Ineffable DOM.

This is my 5 snowflake review for Dom Wars Round Two by Lucian Bane for Eskimo Princess Review Blog.

Dom Wars Round Two follows Lucian Bane and his partner Tara Reese into the next week of the Dom Wars Competition. If I thought I loved the first book, well this one just pushed me even further over the edge. Lucian is back and ready to show Miss Tara the type of Dom he can be. Tara is determined that she will not fail. All Tara wants is to get through the competition and win the money for her Gramma and all Lucian can think about is how he will break through Tara’s walls so they can be together outside of the competition. What will happen when one of them takes the points too seriously? Will Lucian and Tara be able to get through the next round with their hearts intact?

When I finished Round One, I instantly jumped straight into Round Two because I couldn’t get enough. This is such a unique concept. The emotions are raw and strong. You feel for both Lucian and Tara because Mr. Bane has a way with words. The writing is again flawless with such dept. Please don’t even get me started on the scene where Tara showed her Dominant side…..shew, I think my Kindle is still smoking. If there was ever a time I needed a cold shower after reading a scene, well this one sure did do it for me. The BDSM scenes are so sexy and so true to style. I devoured this book in no time flat. I could have kept going and going.

If you are looking for a great BDSM novel with a unique twist then this one is for you. I look forward to stalking Mr. Bane’s Facebook page looking for clues about the next round of Dom Wars.

I didn't think it could get any better, but I was wrong - again! Holy crap, I can't get enough of Lucian Bane!

With round one under their belts, Lucian and Tara are now competing in an international forum. Tara is still struggling with her seeming inability to emotionally connect with Lucian - unless they are having sex (which is hot, sensual and sometimes eyebrow raising; and made me wish I wasn't single). Tara is so focused on reaching a certain score, tabulating what she can and can't (or won't) do so that they don't lose; that she doesn't understand Lucian's frustration. Lucian, however, is still the caring and nurturing leader; he cannot fathom where all these FEELINGS are coming from and doesn't understand why Tara isn't having them.

Tara often seems clinical in her approach to sex, but with her background this is understandable. She is swimming in shark infested waters and several small 'cuts' are making her more conspicuous to the more aggressive Doms in the competition - something Lucian wants to avoid at all costs because he wants them both to win without either of them losing psychologically and emotionally.

Keep writing them Mr. Bane, because I am ready for Round 3!

DNF!!

I wasn't crazy about Dom Wars: Round One and it was only a 3 1/2 star book for me (which I explained why in that review), but I wanted to give the series another chance to grab my attention, so I decided to continue on with it. When I got to Dom Wars: Round Two, I just can't make to chapter three!! I have tried since last night to read it and the heroine Tara came across as whiny at the very beginning when she lost a contest that was to determine if her or Lucian would be the Dom and her being whiny over that drove me absolutely crazy in the first chapter and when I tried to continue the series last night I noticed that much like Dom Wars: Round One, Dom Wars: Round Two had so many grammar/editing errors within that first chapter that it drove me a bit crazy and I just didn't think I could spend hours again reading another book where I am more drawn to the errors than the plot. I put the book down with the intention of picking it up again today and trying to continue it. The book is just not grabbing my interest and I'm just not warming up to the heroine Tara at all yet.

Sadly I am going to have to mark this as a DNF for now and maybe at a later date I will attempt to read the series again from where I left off because I don't know if it's the series I am having issues with or if I'm just not in the right frame of mind to read this series at this time. Fact of the matter is that with how annoying the heroine is to me thus far and how this series isn't grabbing my attention, I'd much rather stop reading it now with the possibility of attempting a re-read later on rather than trying to read this story and give it low scores which is what will happen if I continue it now because it JUST. ISN'T. WORKING. FOR. ME. right now!!

Like I'd said in my review last night of Dom Wars: Round One, I don't discourage others from trying to read this series. I've heard many people love it and it's just something that isn't working for me but that doesn't mean others wouldn't love it. Definitely give it a try if it interests you as I don't want my review to stop people from giving it a try themselves.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

This is a continuation of Dom Wars and I loved it even more than Round One! Tara and Lucian are still doing the tug of war over who is going to be the Dom and I can't wait to see what happens in Round Three but I swear, I just want to punch the "host" of the show, she needs to back off! LOL

Characters: I loved Lucian right away just because of his name, something about that name just makes me all hot and bothered. Tara and Lucian's characters grow in this installment of Dom Wars and I feel even more connected to them than the first book.

Sex: the chemistry between Lucian and Tara is electric!

Religious: no

Would I recommend to others: yes

More than one book in the series: yes

Genre: Erotic

Would I read more by this author: yes
