The Vertical Jump Bible is a book I would consider a masterpiece for any athlete looking to get their jump higher. When I was starting out with jump training, I saw many exercises on the internet and thought, "Hey, I could just do these randomly and hopefully see improvement!" No improvement came. I had no clue why, until I found this book. This book will teach you the foundation and theory behind vertical jump, how your vertical is basically the amount of power you can apply and how you can increase it by increasing your speed and strength. This book will also give you exercises and programs that you could do, as well as teach you to know how to structure your own program in order to optimally target your muscles, tendons, central nervous system, and mindset in order to get the max you can out of your program. Overall, if you are trying to increase your vertical, READ THIS BOOK!
This book is everything to do with vertical: From the exercises to help increase your vert all the way to the science of why you are doing them and the transformation of a couch potato in a lebron james lite. The length of the book puzzled me at first but it truly is all necessary especially for those who are interested in the dynamics of the mechanisms for jumping beyond the basic actions. Recommended for anyone from beginners with no experience to athletes jumping their whole lives.
Training for higher vertical and trick dunks. This book has so so so much information about jumping, workouts, strength vs speed. Very motivating for me. Looking forward to training plyos, squatting, and jumping every day for the next few months and flying through dunks.

The Vertical Jump Development Bible by Kelly Baggett is a book/training manual about basic information on vertical leap and how to improve vertical leap. It is a very quick read, since there are around 100 pages total (this is just an estimate because there are no page numbers at the bottom of each page). Each chapter of the book takes you step by step from information such as words and science equations regarding vertical leap to actual workouts you can do. The author of this book, Kelly Baggett, is a performance trainer that helps athletes improve their athleticism and strength to get better at their specific sport(s). He developed The Vertical Jump Development Bible by experimenting on methods himself, and the methods he mentions in this book helped him increase his vertical jump by a whopping 19 inches and helped him achieve a vertical jump of 42 inches total. Kelly Baggett believes that focusing on strength development can definitely increase your vertical, and he also mentioned 2 very good points near the start of the book. He mentioned that athletes of years past didn’t improve because they either didn’t train at all, or they don’t know how to train correctly. For the workout description section of the book, it splits into levels of: beginner, novice, intermediate and advanced. Each level has different workout schedules and charts, and the exercises are different to fit the level of athlete, so you don’t have to be some sort of super athlete to complete it. From general information of vertical leap to different ways and workouts on improving vertical leap, I strongly belief that the answers to your questions can be found in this book if you are interested in vertical leap.
So, do you want to fly? If yes, then The Vertical Jump Development Bible is a book that I recommend to you!
Quite a few grammatical mistakes and questionable formatting, but overall the content is decent, and provides somewhat of a jumping-off point into looking at actual research papers (even if they are not cited properly). Time will tell if the advice here is actually effective!
