Rate this book
Glamour model Jasmine has risen from an unfortunate background - and is now getting married to premiership soccer player Jimmy. But Jimmy is having trouble controlling himself when he drinks, someone is blackmailing her about a shameful secret from her past and her godfather Charlie has his own troubles running from his ex's powerful underworld father. Meanwhile her next-door neighbour, actress Lila, is worried that her age and fading beauty is making her Oscar-nominated husband Brett play away. Lila's friend, Maxi, is three times divorced but still desperate to get another ring on her finger - this time courtesy of her older Latin lover, singer Carlos. Then there is Grace, who as a journalist, wants to get to the bottom of all their stories. Set between London and Marbella in Spain, this mixes glamour with a dark plot that will keep you guessing to the end.

Almost ashamed to say I thoroughly enjoyed this very racy book featuring ‘beautiful’ people who are the focus of paparazzi. There were some nasty shallow characters but also others who I liked despite the self centred lives they had. A satisfying happy ending for the ‘good’ guys and justice for those who deserved it. I probably won’t read more by this author but it made me stay up late reading the ending.

This author narrates the story about the rich and famous behind the backdrop of Hollywood where money rules.

Jasmine who hides behind her pretty face thought she found her prince charming but later on realise that the man that she marries are in actual fact a devil of it's own kind. On the surface, she seems to have it all but in actual fact, there are secret still something lurking around her. It's matter of time before it will be made known public.

Lila, a famous star with a philandering husband finally have to accept that her husband would not be back to her and it is up to her to finally find herself back.

A popular journalist, Grace who is involved with a married man struggle to find the true meaning of love and Maxine, who begin to find that her biological clock ticking, tried ways to conceive a love child that would commit himself to her.

Each with their own story, yet it was love that would bring them to the happiness that they are looking

surpising read! positively! Was expecting mindless chicklit but the characters actually had a decent background and were realistic. Plus this is a combination of romance, thriller, and adresses some contemporary issues of crime, wealth, abuse, and several more ... Enjoyable read !

I enjoyed this book. I was hooked from the beginning.
This is my second time reading a book from Katie Agnew and I must say she has a way of writing characters that readers would feel connected to in some ways. This was a good read.

Read this book a couple of times now and still love it. The genre of chick lit being mixed with the celebrity and criminal world of both Jasmine and Charlies worlds gel together surprisingly well. Also loved the SPOILER blackmail aspect showing celebs can be vulnerable also

From rags to riches, infidelity, heart-break, saucy scandal and sexy scenes that would put Fifty Shades to shame - I must say, I adored this book.

Wives V Girlfriends has pretty much everything you could want in a book: Romance, drama, glitz, glam, action, thrill and even a gripping slice of horror.
It is the furthest thing from what you are expecting and that's great!

The story is set between good old London and exotic Marbella, Spain.
Spain is a place on the map that I've never been to or really, if I'm honest, ever thought about going to... until now.
This book is the cause for just another place being added to my endless list of must-see travel spots.
Katie Agnew made Marbella sound divine.

The story darts between the lives of the rich and the elite, SHARING each of their unique stories throughout each chapter. Her writing is moving, warm and full of entertainment.

I had no idea what to expect when I picked this book up in an old, rickety secondhand bookstore... and I must say that past the shocking pink cover with Posh Spice staking claim on it and past the name dropping of celebrities and designer labels that is almost as annoying as someone speaking just in hashtags... I was actually pleasantly SURPRISED.

I purchased this book, and found myself wanting to know what happened. It begins with a flashback, which continues throughout the story, making you guessing which character it relates to. It’s a sassy, glam read full of celebs, and the rich and famous. One of the main characters Jasmine was very likeable, and you do find yourself hoping she has a happy ending. What I liked most about this book is that is was realistic for chick-lit, whereby you can imaging the characters acting the way they do, and saying the things they do in real life, which is a big factor for me. I’m a fan of Katie Agnew books, and enjoyed this read.

Totally different from what I'm expected. My first thought when I saw the title of this book was whether readers to choose either to say as girlfriends or wives. When I started reading this book, I couldn't even stop to page-flipping but after awhile, the story got more suspense (of which I really liked) and also depressing. Honestly to say, I was nearly wanted to stop reading it without thinking to finish it or to know what's the ending but eventually, I read it until the end. I dislike it because it's depressing and I got headache reading it.

I'm not sure whether giving this book 5 stars is a good thing or not. In terms of keeping me hooked, the book did just that and I was always wondering what was going to happen. I enjoyed it but it's safe to say that it's quite different from other books that I've read.

Lots of good characters and story lines to keep you interested. From the beginning you are kept wondering who the girl is, is it her? No it must be her but then it could be her & when you find out it all makes sense! Well deserved 5 stars.

It was always happening something and you were curious about what's going to happen next all the time. I liked how she showed all the dirty and bad sides of fame and life as well. It was honest, and real. Really good.

I loved this. A seriously fun sexy read. I loved Jasmine's character, she is one seriously strong woman.
Only gave this four stars because I was more than a little confused with all the different characters at the start.

Ich hatte einen relativ oberflächlichen Chicklit Roman erwartet, in Wirklichkeit war es doch eine sehr dramatisch Geschichte, die zeigt dass auch bei den Schönen und Reichen nicht immer alles perfekt läuft.
