A beautifully thorough journey through the history of horses and equestrian sport in the Olympics. Has incredible and iconic photos on every page. A large book because of the sheer wealth of information, but a surprisingly easy read full of interesting stories, results, and historic and current issues.
As it was intended to be, this book was very informative. It got pretty repetitive at times, mostly because the Olympic rules for each sport aren't really all that different.
It's been a while since I read it, but I remember disagreeing with the author at several points, but being interested most of the time.
If I ever re-read this, I'll give it a more specific review.
