This could have been brilliant. The two leads are so engaging and their sexual tension crackles but the this installment was a little bit silly. I love the two main leads but honestly...how can they fly all over the world with weapons in their backpacks, but worry they can't get into Parliament House in Australia's capital city of Canberra? Don't the same rules apply as they're criss-crossing the world on a treasure hunt?
I'm staggered at the poor research (McDonalds in the outback!), a strange, mythical highway that gets them from Canberra to Alice Springs in two days, yet it takes them two-and-a-half days to get from there to Darwin. I kept hoping for some detail about other contestants...we hear about two but never see them. A shame, because the authors are at their best when dealing with the complexities of human relationships...not geography.
Also some more poor editing...they are driving a truck one minute, the next, they are in a taxi cab and without a word of explanation they're in a motel bed going at each other...ooookay.
Checking my questions about the gigantic plot holes and whopping number of typos at the door, the relationship and whimsical tone at the core here kept me reading. Jericho is an endearing hoot.
