The diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) can be devastating. It’s important to note, though, that while COPD is debilitating, it is not a death sentence. With proper disease management, people with COPD can expect to live a full and happy life. While there are no magic pills or quick fixes, there are many things COPD sufferers can do to have more energy, less shortness of breath, and an overall better quality of life despite breathlessness or use of home oxygen. This comprehensive guide helps people in any stage of COPD learn to work with their physical limitations rather than against them. Compassionate and clearly written, it covers every aspect of the disease, including the psychological and emotional issues that go along with having COPD, medications and physical therapy, identifying triggers and warning signs, creating an action plan for worsening symptoms, techniques to make breathing easier, working with healthcare providers, and much more.
I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) four years ago. For more than two years, I relied on prescribed medications, but my symptoms continued to worsen. My breathing became more difficult, fatigue set in quickly, and simple daily activities started to feel exhausting.Last year, out of both desperation and hope, I decided to try a herbal treatment program from NaturePath Herbal Clinic. I’ll admit, I was skeptical at first. But within just a few months, I began to notice real changes my breathing became easier, my energy improved, and I could do more without feeling completely worn out.It has been a life-changing experience. I finally feel like myself again better than I have in years. If you or someone you love is struggling with IPF, I truly recommend looking into their natural approach. You can contact them on their website www.naturepathherbalclinic.com
I was extremely short of breath and constantly tired due to my Emphysema. I was advised to take Montair plus one tablet every night which would give me temporary relief and help my sleep. But I didn’t want to depend on tablet fully which only offers relief not cure. I slowly started Ayurveda, and was introduced to Natural Herbs Centre and their COPD Ayurveda Programme, my symptoms gradually diminished including my shortness of breath, wheezing and fatigue. Reach them at natural herbs centre. com. I know I'll get negative comments but I’m sharing this perhaps someone is also looking at genuine alternative treatment. I can vouch for this Ayurvedic treatments but you still need to decide what works best for you. Sending prayers

This book was extremely well-written. As a medical student, I am always reading books about various medical disorders. COPD is not a disease to be taken lightly, as any sufferer of this condition could easily attest to. Even though the book itself is not very long, it still contains an ample amount of information. There are a few drawings scattered throughout the book, which shows the anatomy of the respiratory system as well as the mechanics involved with breathing. This book is also beneficial to the lay person, as it has a full glossary at the end. Also, there are a few pages of helpful resources following the glossary, which allows the reader to do further research on their own. For any person interested in COPD (or any sufferers or family members of someone who suffers from this condition), I would highly recommend grabbing a copy of this very helpful guide.
Clear, easy-to-understand explanation of COPD and its medications, with a brief but good overview of what people with COPD can do to feel better and be healthier.
