This was such a sweet book! I especially loved it because it takes place, in part, here in my home state! I felt like this was an empowering book for any woman, not just older women. I'll do what I can to find the sequels at my local bookstore or library! Gotta keep track of the BOOB Girls!

This was a fun book. I wanted a break from the serious books I had read recently. It is about 4 older gals that escape a retirement home and go on an adventure. I really enjoyed it!

This book is hysterical. Perfect gift for an older woman (70's). I gave it to my mother-in=law after she had some surgery that was going to keep her at home for awhile. To grow old and have a sense of adventure like these women.Priceless! Better yet, to grow old and have friendships like these women. Would the events in this story really happen? Probably not. Just read it, because it's fun and lighthearted! The humor is priceless!

I hope to have these same lively ladies around me when I'm older & in assisted living. Her sense of humor may be dry but I have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. Love the names of her ladies- I now have the entire series after having a personal visit by Joy to our library last month.

Absolutely loved this book! The author is from Nebraska with the story starting and ending in Nebraska. It is quite the story about 4 women in their later years. Her husband Dr. Marvin Johnson and she founded Ted E. Bear Hollow in Omaha.

The Boob Girls by Joy Johnson was a fast and fun romp. The Burned Out Old Broads meet at Table 12 in the retirement home and decide they need some excitement in their lives. After some self improvement including building up their stamina with daily walking, they set out on some adventures. Working at the Ragged Ass bar and a trip on a cruise ship are just a few of their travels. I enjoyed these ladies and I believe they reflect the feelings of ladies who have reached "a certain age." I know there are follow ups, and I look forward to their further adventures.

What a fun read! If you're over 60, you will certainly identify with the stage of life of these ladies. Set mostly in and around Omaha, this book takes a light look at senior living residences, with a bit of Thelma and Louise thrown in.

Book club book by Omaha author. Has almost no plot. I kept getting confused as to who was who. Only the Irish Catholic was true to form. One of the ladies taught at Creighton but I don’t think it was mentioned by name. Light hearted romp.

This was a fun read. If I had the money, I would love to do what the women in this book did. Of course, it is interesting to live in the same place and to have traveled to many of the places the women did. The story mixed fun and sadness in a way that was comfortable for the reader.

Charlie's Angels Escaped from the Nursing Home!
Not at all what I thought it was going to be, but it was good and I liked it. It was funny 😂 and the girls were awesome! Sad 😢 at the end but I am curious about the remaining books so I will read on.

A funny quick read. Set in the Midwest so very relatable. Reminds me of a female Grumpy Old Men. I would recommend this to my mom's and grandma's.

4.5 stars! At the beginning there were some misspellings, which irritated me. If not for that-5 stars!
