I thought he was going to be different, but Torque is the same as every other man when they see a female mechanic. He assumed I was applying for a job as a receptionist to try and lure him into my bed. Well, screw him. Now I’m working for another shop, but not everything is as it appears. I try to ignore it and just work, but when things go south, I have nowhere to turn. Except for one man and his club. Sparks fly, and I realize fighting him might be a losing battle. Except, neither of us realizes things are about to take a turn no one expected, and I’m caught in the middle.
I don’t want a woman, which is probably why I was a jerk to the one person qualified for the job at my shop. Now she’s in danger and turning her away isn’t an option. I’ll protect her, but I quickly realize that I want Izzy for myself. The only problem is that there’s more than one danger coming, and loyalties inside our club are about to be tested, with Izzy caught in the crosshairs. Will I be able to save her before it’s too late?
This book has a recurring theme that continues through each book, so it is best to read through them in order, but they can be read as standalone. This series is also a spinoff series from my Inked Series, and does have characters that will overlap.
I live in New Brunswick, Canada with my husband and our two dogs, Remi and Sako (pronounced Say-co). When I’m not writing, I’m playing fetch with the dogs, talking to my parents for endless amounts of hours, annoying the crap out of my husband, or just enjoying life with my friends. Writing has been a part of my life since I was about 12. I started out just writing short stories or silly knock-offs of my favorite shows or movies. Soon, though, I realized just how much I loved to write. How often my mind would wander and think of characters and where they could go. They became real to me, and I would start to write. I used to fill up notebooks and pads of paper when I got an idea. It would be an obsession, almost, to get on paper. Then, when I was old enough to have a computer, I started there. Now, I’m 28 years old and I finally hit that button. The one that I’ve thought about it over and over again for the past 16 years. There is no greater joy, or fear, at realizing you’ve just accomplished something that you’ve wanted to do for so very long. That is my greatest accomplishment and I look forward to hitting that button on many more.
I actually really enjoyed this despite skipping book one, because apparently the main couple in that one constantly sniped at each other and the fmc made dumb choices. But all in all I don’t think I missed out on too much.
Torque and Izzy really worked as a couple after he apologized for being an ass upon their first meeting.
The reason this isn’t rated higher is due to the completely abrupt ending. Literally nothing has been solved, it just ended and we get a POV from Shadow to let us know we’re switching POVs for the next book. Like wtf 😅
I’ve read plenty of interconnected standalones before and none of them ever left me hanging like this.
This is the third book I have read by Emily. She has not disappointed me. If you love MC books, then you will love these books. I heart Izzy and Torque. They are great together, even if Torque was a jerk in the beginning. Luckily, for him his mom is the head honcho and she talked sense into him.
Izzy won me over instantly with her no-nonsense attitude. She knew that she would have a lot of resistance by applying to be a mechanic, but she knew her worth and did not back down. Where Torque is concerned, he really is not a bad guy. He just needed a woman like Izzy that could match him. The heat between these two is smoking hot. As I was so invested in these two that I could not stop reading. I finished this book in a few days.
Warning: The Devil's Revelation by Emily Rose will have you reaching for a tall, cold, drink as the pages of this book is scorching!
I really liked Izzy from the start, liked how she was determined to make her life in a new town great! I hated how she had a hard time finding a job just because she was a woman, loved that when she ran into Rose, she had a real lead until Torque turned into a total ass. Rose chewing him a new one later was perfect, especially when she demand he go to her place and give her an apology. Better was Izzy blowing Torque off because she found a new job.
As much as I wanted Izzy's new job to be a good place for her, it wasn't. And how Izzy found out was crazy! I'm glad by then after a couple random run in's with Torque, they had patched things over enough that she went to them for help. When Torque heard what Izzy had to say, he knew he needed to call in his father, because an old foe they thought gone wasn't.
From there things ramped up, Izzy was protected and put on lock down while they figured things out. Despite being on lockdown the bad guys kept coming after Izzy and getting close, too close, which led for them to realize the hadn't found the only mole the last time. They also realized how integrated this mole was after one attack, something that really shock the core members. But now with Shadow on the job, it will be interesting how things go.
Izzy is determined to make it on her own as a mechanic, she is exceptional at what she does but a woman in this field is often mistaken as weak. She thinks she has find the shop she wants to work at but Torque puts a real quick stop to that with his flippant comment about women in the work place. Deciding to try another shop she doesn't realize she has put herself in danger.
Torque knows he made a mistake with Izzy, but he saw his mother's effort to have Izzy work for him as ploy to set him up and he is not ready to settle down. That being said though he can't seem to forget her, an apology ends up with his interest growing even more but what happens when Izzy shows up asking for help?
This was terrific, loved every moment. A one sit read for me. I liked Izzy she is feisty and is determined to prove herself. Torque has to eat some humble pie and of course all the characters you have grown to love make appearances.
I just cant make myself get through this one. It started off okay ish but the progression/pacing of their relationship was just so unnatural, it threw me WAY off and I honestly just didnt CARE about the two MCs enough to keep reading.
I got this book as an ARC reader and I loved it I wanted to bash the males in the head thinking that she couldn't do a man's job because sh mye is a women it's relevent at the moment in what is going on the world right now with women's rights and this points that out women are just as capable as men even more so. I don't think we've seen the best yet as the mole didn't get revealed so there is going to come a point or book where this is going to happen and it's going to be blow out of the water when it dose I love it when books do this can't wait to read on in this series
This was an interesting story, the idea and concept were there. However a lot of it was being told instead of letting things happen or just repetition of the same things— “arrest for mooning a cop “ etc etc
This story heavily focuses on the rushed love arc of the mmc and fmc. But has a weird time arc where it’s month since they meet before things heat up then declaring love and biker marriage in like two days when they “get” together. I found that incredibly annoying.
Added to that there’s the Russian mob, her discovery of them, a mole, and multiples murder attempts which are just background instead of leading plot lines. And not a single one of them was even remotely close to resolved, obviously you’d have to read other characters arcs to maybe get that but I prefer books where it as a conclusion that doesn’t rely on the series.
Also they constantly act like the women are up to no good or doing wild and dangerous crap when the women were tame and honestly the bikers were too. Nothing in this says big bad to me even the Russian mob was eh.
Idk I wasn’t crazy about it, the more I think about it the more the characters were ok but I didn’t love any of them. It just wasn’t anything to write home about.
ARC Review Well Emily Rose did it again I’ve read everything this Author has written and this is another amazing read! I feel in love with Izzy she is a complete bad ass who knows what she wants and goes after it! Wanting to be a mechanic and knowing she will be treated a certain way! Still she busts her butt! Torque DID NOT make the best impression and really screwed up! He truly tried to make it right. Izzy was way to stubborn and stayed in a bad situation way to long! This story was so good and so much drama I love all the side characters and push and pull! I’m loosing it on who the Mole will be and why and will they get to implement there sick revenge! Can not wait for the next book and please catch this evil Mole!!!
Not bad but definitely not good and needs an editor real bad. There’s an entire paragraph that’s doubled and the pov is horrendously confusing as the author uses “I said” even if it’s not from that persons pov. Just needs some refinement and it would be a decent quick read
DNF 21% The main couple has only interacted three times and the meetings were mediocre at best. The main guy is already pleasuring himself to the idea of her and has spent an entire chapter describing every one of his MC brothers in great detail down to how they style their hair. I just can’t do it.
I am utterly obsessed with this series! If you love a MC universe, you are going to love this one!
In this book, we follow Izzy and Torque, and there isn't a moment where I didn't want to see these two together! Torque is a jerk at the beginning, but he tries to make up for it the best that he can.
Izzy is a strong and amazing woman who is a mechanic and has to deal with some horrible shit because it is such a male dominated world. So has such a no-nonsense attitude, and it just suits with the whole family that this series has. She knows what she brings to the table when it comes to working, and she isn't going to back down, and I love it.
Torque is a thinker and isn't afraid to say what he wants. At first, I thought that he was horrible, but he just needed someone to pull him up on his bullshit! And that is what Izzy does.
Spice wise, there isn't as much as the previous in the series, but it is still hot! I love the world building in this series as well, and I love that we get to grow to love everyone in this universe and not just the two main characters. The Coven will be the death of me, I have never laughed so hard at the antics of a bunch of female characters before.
I can not wait to start the next book in this series, and if you have been tossing up weather to read this book or not, I say do it! :)
Torque has my heart. He is the softer brother, I find, but oh does he have a filth mouth.
The way he and izzy are together are perfect. She never question who to turn to when she landed in a mess. She new no matter what torque would help her.
They have awesome chemistry and They share a love for Cars. And OMG that car scene…the best so far 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Emily Rose is one of my all time favorite authors and this series she is knocking out of the park. It keeps getting better and better. When Izzy comes to town to start fresh and independent she is trying to find a job as a female mechanic and its not very easy. Torque puts his foot in his mouth when he first meets her and is sexist and judging and send her on her way. When his mom Rose puts her foot down and tells him to apologize. These two are both stubborn and hot headed. Izzy will not put up with being told what to do she has only every had herself to rely on. Torque has decided she is his and will protect her against everything. These characters have the best banter that will have you laughing out loud. Once again we have the crazy coven of women who give us so many laughs. It was incredible to read how Izzy and Torques relationship evolves and how he goes from never wanting an Old Lady to needing her. There are so many twists and mysteries going on it will be interesting to see what's going to happen in the next book. This series has so much depth that you will feel your involved in the story as it goes on. You can never go wrong with one of her books once you start you will not be able to put down. Absolute must read series. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.
This book did start off decently enough. The problem was that nothing really felt right. The relationship between Izzy and Torque just didn't have any real authenticity. There was no chemistry. They didn't even really seem to interact in a friendly manner and then all of a sudden they're having sex. This argument was brought up multiple times by Izzy, how can they be a couple if the only thing they really have in common is good sex and the same job? And I didn't really feel like the question was answered.
And then you have the suspense plot with the Russian mafia. This book is part of a series of interconnected standalones. But my goodness, the issues from the first book were brought up constantly. Dmitri is still mad because Sage (previous book's FMC) got away from him. That was brought up on, at least, three separate occasions. So not only was the relationship lackluster, the plot felt both overdone and undercooked all at the same time.
Even if I could suspend my standards to enjoy the characters and the plot, the actual quality of the writing was so atrocious that I just could not get over it. At one point an entire paragraph was copied and pasted right after its first occurrence. The. spelling errors were prevalent and one side character's name had the spelling changed halfway through the book.
Ms. Rose feeds into my obsession with motorcycle club romance books. This book can not be read as a stand-alone because you will be lost in the storyline. They are not your standard cliffhanger per se but the situation carries over. I hope that makes sense.
Ms. Rose does not give us weak female main characters and Izzy is no different. Izzy does not take anything laying down. Her backbone is incredible and not in an annoying type of way. She is far from quiter and has a goal-driven attitude. When going up against Torque she acts no different. Torque the thinker of his family is completely thrown off by Izzy. You put these two together and they are explosive. They balance each other out and once together they are unstoppable. Once Torque gets his hands on Izzy it is game over for him. That man is a dream and holy alpha. Trust me this is a must-read. I love when the side characters show up from the previous books because they help make this book perfect. I look forward to more books in this series with some of the side characters who haven't had their book yet. Although after finishing this I still have so many questions and my detective skills have been put into question. Trust me you will understand once you start this series.
The Devil's Revelation is the 3rd book in the Devil's Soldiers MC series. The book is centered on Torque and Izzy, their story is a standalone but the subplot with the MC carries over from the previous book. There is a little bit of backstory but pieces may be confusing without reading the previous book.
Izzy has goals and works hard to prove herself as a female mechanic and nothing will get in her way. When arrives in town and applies to work for Torque's shop reacts like a jerk. Izzy will not put up with sexist treatment and goes to work at another shop. When Izzy finds herself needing help, Torque is the first person she thinks of, and his nature to protect her takes over.
I could not put this book down! It's full of spice, entertaining characters, and suspense. I love MC romance books. There is something about those protective alpha-males that gets to me everytime. Add in a sassy, stubborn female that pushes back…..yes, please! Talk about some fun banter. Let me tell you the Devil's Soldiers ladies push back. The shenanigans of this group is hilarious. I also loved the suspense of this story it had my detective skills kicking in and I can't wait for the next book. I need more clues.
New town but same mentality. Men who think women aren’t able to do the same job as them. Pride gets in the way of the best of us. Until things go south and danger is at your neck. Izzy does all that. But so does Torque. The first conversation between the two is so infuriating. I wanted to reach into my book and slap him. The other shop she goes to work as gives me the creeps just from reading about it. I don’t know how that is possible but it definitely did. The thing I love about this MC is that they think a little differently. Things don’t always go as you would hope. Some places are dirty and creepy. Now Torques mom is awesome. I love how she handles things. It is so funny to see how she reprimanded a grown man. That had me laughing and others looking at me like I was crazy. The tension between Izzy and Torque will make anyone burn. They are fighting every step of the way before things explode. Danger is never something anyone wants to deal with. Though they have it in folds coming to their door step. I would reread this book more than once. It is so good. I finished it in one setting because I could not put this book down. I love when a strong woman puts men in their place and prove them wrong.
I really didn’t like the heroine and all she got up to in the Devil’s Goddess, but Izzy and Torque won me back. She’s headstrong and independent without being reckless, and he’s protective and caring without being a jerk about it. I definitely felt real insta-love here. While there is a HEA between the main characters, Emily Rose is building an ongoing conflict thread in her books, and while it’s interesting, I do find myself wanting her to get on with it at times. I think we’re being led to believe we know who the Mole is, based on incidents from previous books (all the way back to Fire & Ink), so it’s either very obvious who it is; we’re going to be flat out shocked and heartbroken to find out it’s someone we never expected; or it’s going to be a character who comes out of left field because they never factored into the story much at all. Next book is at least a month away, I’m eager to see if she wraps up the mole storyline and moves on to another conflict, or carries it through more books, as she has at least 2-4 bikers that could get stories here.
The next book in the Devils Soldiers MC is another hot mystery suspense, Izzy and Torque are two strong characters so their romance isn't going to be easy especially as Izzy has not only caught Torque's eye but unwittingly the eye of an enemy of the club, throw into the mix the mole buried deep with the brothers who will do anything to tear the club apart and you find yourself deeply engrossed in this intriguing series that just keeps getting better and better,
"But why? I'm just me."
I was impressed how this author brought to live Izzy's struggle doing the job she loved, being pretty and a mechanic is not easy and when Torque turned her down for a job thinking she was a receptionist and she ends up working in a place that is going to get her in a heap of trouble Ms Rose made those challenges into a really great romance, it was made even more appealing in that once Torque knew he had got it wrong and his mom the Queen of the MC reminded him of how he had been brought up to respect women the story came even more to life, the suspense happening in the background with the mole embedded in the club is spot on, I still have no idea who it is which makes me excited for what is to come next. The chemistry is sizzlingly hot as always, and the storyline is wonderfully told.
Torque is one of the Sons of Rose and Bullet - the King and Queen of The Devils Soldiers MC and I'm loving this series and the characters more every book!
Torque is quite quiet compared to the other two, he's a genius when it comes to mechanics and the only thing he's concentrating on is getting his business up and running smoothly. No interest in an ole lady and just a typical young'un.
In comes newcomer Izzy looking a job as a mechanic and she's caught Torque at a bad time because he is a downright plank to her!
Off she goes and finds work at another garage - only to put her in the mobs sights!
Thankfully she turns to Torque for help - cue the switch and Torque realising he wants Izzy and nothing is going to stand his way!!
Full of antics - there's no denying the MC has their hands full with the coven of nutty women lol! Plenty of banter, some steamy times and a mole they just can't get rid off!!
These two have such a wild ride towards their happy ending. I mean it was jam packed full and not only between them. Their relationship was intriguing right from the beginning where they get off to a rocky start with a good ole heap of sexism. Izzy is a female mechanic so she endures a lot of it in the story but I like how Torque fixed it though. He is so genuine and sweet at times even behind the big bad biker persona. He really was both the alpha macho biker and the sweet and loving partner for Izzy. They both fall HARD but it just made sense for them and felt like they’d been together for a whole rather than a few weeks.
Zeb and the rest of the brothers were a great addition. This is the first book I’ve read in the series and I love them all so far (except the mole… he can rot for all I care). I enjoyed that the story didn’t really wrap up but it also kind of did too. I didn’t feel like I missed anything from not reading Sage and King’s book.
I liked it but didn't love it. The idea was amazing, but I didn't really think the women were that crazy. Everyone seemed pretty tame. You didn't get to see too much mechanic stuff except at the beginning. Maybe I just read too many psycho dark romances, lol. The ending didn't really feel like it could be a standalone I read a lot of mc romances and usually it at least ends with the main female getting a property cut so was kind of disappointed that didn't happen made it feel more like a HFN vs HEA. Also, none of the problems were solved. Usually, at least one is they still have no clue who the mole is, Dimitri is still out there. They know nothing except what mechanic shop he's operating out of, and that's only because of the FMC. There's just a lot left out in the open, so it felt very unfinished. The sex was good but lacking for how wild the girls kinda hyped it up to be. Honestly I was more interested in the smut going on with the mother and father 😂 it seemed more interesting.
I had not realized when I started this book that it continues into the next book of this series!
So I am left hanging in this story 😟
This is an EXTREMELY Light MC novel, that it is actually very boring as nothing happen 🙄
Izzy was okay, I wasn't blown away by her. She did earn some points for going straight to Torque with her problem.
I was not feeling the love happening between the main characters, it was just too convenient and abrupt.
We got told a lot of the stuff in this book, there was no action as all.
I was not sure why these guys would go on and on about how bad Rose & the girls where together. These woman did nothing in the book to justify them being unfairly judged based on 1 incident. I haven't read the book in which said incident happens, so I can't really comment.
I wasn't crazy about this book, I would like to know who the mole is but I don't think I am willing to give up my time to read the next book based on how boring this book is.
Having a career as a woman is difficult, having a mostly male dominate career can be every more so. When Izzy needs work nobody sees the talented mechanic, all they see is a woman who will cry at the drop of a wrench. Unfortunately Torque is just the same as everyone else and dismisses her as well. This starts a series of events that not only lead to a beautiful love story but also endangered the lives of the Devil soldiers. This book has a passionate love story, danger, betrayal and so much humor you wish you were part of the old ladies group. The secondary characters are intriguing so very aspect of this book draws you in and you don’t want to let go. Seriously I can’t say enough good things about it, so just read it and find a new favorite book or the start of a long crazy relationships with Rose, Raven, Crazy and all the badass woman of the club.
Another Marvel of a story from this amazing author!!
This series just keeps getting better!! I loved the story of Izzy and Torque!! Loved that Izzy is a strong females who is trying to make it in a profession that is mostly performed by men. Not only is she amazing at it she is better than some men who work in the shops. Torque while a very loyal man puts his foot in his mouth and pushes Izzy to work at another shop which puts her in danger. Izzy sucks up her pride and allows Torque to help her.
Add in a crazy group of women who try to take care of the MC and some very alpha males in the MC who think they know everything and this is one great story. There is a Mole in the MC who is working against the Club and almost kills Izzy. Hopefully we find out who that is in the next story which I can not wait for!! I would highly recommend this series to anyone!!
This is the third book I've read of Emily's and again I could have continued to read it over and over, yet to be disappointed by her. The way she tells the story of each character from where they're been to where they are to where they're going to go. Izzy is a great female character. She's strong, has a great head on her shoulders and works in an industry that hasn't been the nicest to her. Torque is so yummy, honestly the story line with the MC and introducing and adding characters from two other series is just amazing. You get to read and heard about characters that you've loved before. Emily has been the reason why I started reading again and I'm so thankful. Her writing style isn't confusing, you can follow along so easily and you get so caught up that you never want it to end. Congratulations Emily can't wait to read more!
This is the third book of this series, The Devil's Soldiers MC. Everyone of Emily's books just keeps getting better and better. Three of her series are connected: Inked, The Devil's Soldiers MC and Lincoln Billionaires, but you don't need to them all to know what's going on. I would definitely recommend it though, so don't miss out on all the shenanigans these women do. Torque and Izzy are made from the same cloth. Their thinkers with strong personality who would do anything for the person they love. Unfortunately the men of this MC can't seem to find an O'Lady who knows how to stay out of trouble, but I will say this time around it's not Izzy's fault. If you want to know what happens and to see what the ladies are up to then you must read this book. Believe me you won't be disappointed.
This is a fast moving tale. It has a handsome biker who is tough as nails who is tenderhearted with his woman and his family. They eliminated a traitor and there may be another. We get to meet her friend who is more like her father figure. For someone who grew up ignored as a foster child, she becomes someone who attracts a surrogate father and a coven of MC ladies as friends. The romance is instant but is slow to fully develop. There is lots of action, sassy dialogue between the MC brothers and their ladies, several murder attempts, and someone is shot. All this while the ongoing battle continues to locate the Russian boss. There is a romantic HEA, no cheating, no romance cliffhanger just then going battle to find the Russian and abort his nefarious drug plans. Can’t wait for the next one.
I liked this book but my issue is it's not as good as the first. Maybe it's because I like the main female character to have a bit of a fighting spirit. Sage was ruthless & didn't just roll over. Now I'm not saying she didn't & I get that Torque wouldn't have worked so well with someone like Sage but that's what makes me love books with characters like that. I still liked this book & liked that she really gave it her all to not quit but there's a line between stubborn & stupid. She was on the stupid side. So while this wasn't my top, I'd recommend it but only if you read the first & want to continue on. I'm not sure I'll carry on, only because dragging out who is the mole is old. Could have at least revealed the name at the end of this one. I'll give it some thoughts before completely giving in. On to the next!
