Lo único a citar:

It was fine, it reads quite fast, it is the typical light reading that can be read among other more dense ones. The hero is pretty sexy, the heroine not so much. The plot is entertaining, not very deep but it is enjoyable at the very least.

I loved the story. Material things must be wonderful to have, but they don't always guarantee happiness.

This is another excellent saga of two powerful families. Their successes and tribulations are artfully played out. The life of the elite and privileged may bring negative publicity as well as envy and positive vibes. It is sensitively and beautifully written.

Feet of Clay

An engaging stringing together of seemingly disparate lives into a two family dynasty. A realistic portrayal of the slippery slope that is fame and fortune, but colored with compassion and understanding.

We tend to think powerful and beautiful families have a perfect life, this is a story of two families that deal with many issues. The character development was
Well done giving you insights to each family member.

First published in 1988, this book has held up very well. In fact it has been rereleased recently. It is part family saga, part love story, part murder mystery/secrets and all well-written.

The story centers around Katia Morrell and Jordan Whyte, the lovers of the story and their family secrets and stories. I found it hard to put down. The best parts of the book are the times Jordan and Katia are together. I thought that Ms. Delinsky did a great job of showing how physical love can enhance the other types of love and visa versa.

Ms. Delinsky always writes heroines who are strong, passionate and not afraid to dream and make their dreams a reality. I would recommend her books and intend to continue reading them myself. Don't listen to the audio for this book, read the book!

Twilight Whispers read like a soap opera. The Warrens and the Whytes are more like a close net family than close friends whose children grew up together.

Deborah Warren and Mark Whyte marry. After a few years they are found murdered aboard their boat. In the meantime Gill and Lenore Warren, Jack Whyte, and Cassie Morell, the Warren’s housekeeper, have a secret that can tear apart all the families.

The story is a good story and could have been a five-star story had it been better edited. If this had been my book I would not have chosen Kathy Garver to tell the story.

This is an enjoyable family saga involving three families that are connected in many ways - the Warrens, Whytes, and the Morels. They have all grown up together as one big family even though they are not of the same cloth.

Twilight Whispers is a fascinating and engrossing read that kept this reader enthralled till the satisfying ending. There is love, lust, greed, wealth and murder in this tale. There is a mystery threaded though all this that keeps the reader engaged along with love scenes that are sweet and satisfying.

Some of the characters are strong and resilient while others are delicate and suffering to survive. Two of the families are wealthy while the Morels are servants to them but nonetheless important in what they do to keep the families together.

The families, due to their wealth and success in their lives, have gained many enemies who are abreast and could cause them grief. Will jealousy and envy be their demise?

When two of the families children are murdered things get testy amongst the family when the police suspect any one of them of killing them. Will the
Detective Cavanaugh be able to find out who is responsible before destroying the whole family in the process?

This was a thoroughly engrossing read. But I expected this much from Delinsky. She knows how to wind a story with so many twists, turns and characters that make your head spin. Highly recommend this mystery!

This book was written in 1987 and reminded me of the Dynasty series. 2 powerful families in the Boston area; the Whytes and the Warrens. Lots of characters from the head of the family to their children and significant others, and their history in depth history of the family and their current situations.
Two bodies are found that looks very suspicious, one member from each of the families. A veteran detective is assigned to this case by his boss and given a file on the families to investigate. What first appeared obvious is now shrouded with possible motives and family involvement.
Family secrets and relationships are explored, along with the personal lives of the detective and his boss. Everything is investigating and and everyone is questioned.
Interesting ending.

This story is about three families, the Warrens and the Whytes both rich and powerful, and the not-so-rich Morells. The story is part saga, part love story, and part mystery. This is a true page-turner. The two main characters are Katia Morell daughter of the housekeeper and Jordan Whyte wealthy son of Jack. There are secrets and scandals and a determined detective to get to the bottom of a double homicide and bring the killer to justice. A very good read. I've read many of Ms Delinsky's books and this is the very best one!!

We all had to start somewhere, and while this might not be the first, it was early, and Delinsky had eww factor. Start with the whole child porn thing and that it's passed off as "paying kids for sex" instead of sex trafficking. That didn't age well. Then there is the fact that Jordan thinks Katia is his sister, and while he draws the line at penetration, he has no problem with getting her off... like that's not incest, if she were in fact, his sister. I won't rate this book, because it is early and terrible. But she became Barbara Delinsky and that counts for something.

Between 2.5 and 3 stars.
Not a bad read. A bit scattered with all of the characters and the plot lines, some of which are not especially well executed. In particular, the crime and mystery story line is not as gritty as would be expected from a crime/mystery novelist. However, Delinsky is not a crime/mystery novelist and wrote this book in the 80s to push her skills.
The book was likeable, but not especially good.

It was terrible. Not a murder mystery but a long windy story that did not build any kinship to the characters. Very shallow and juvenile. Only finished the book just to see how badly it was written from finish to ple

Twilight Whispers

This was a wonderful suspense book with just enough romance to make it extra interesting. I read this book over three days as I had free time. I never wanted to put it down but had to at times until tonight when I finally got to see how all the pieces of a complicated puzzle came together to make an awesome read. I have been a Delinsky fan for more than 20 years and she does nothing but get better and better.

Enjoyable Romantic Murder Mystery

Truly fun read. The sex scenes kept me up reading until late into the night. My husband had the audacity to interrupt my reading of a particularly steamy scene. I almost bit his head off. Surprised by the conclusion. As the pages neared the end, I had no idea who was the murderer.

It was very hard for me to continue reading this book. I struggle keeping interest when there are too many POV's. This book had over 6! It also switched between past and present with certain POV's.
It was a really good story, I loved the idea of it. BUT I can't get over how confused/bored I was majority of the time.

Intriguing book. I liked the way it went back in time so you could see where all three families came from, how they got started, and what it felt like to be them. I liked how it took its time unfolding. I came to care about all the characters. If the ending was a little too perfect, eh, I don’t mind a bit.

i liked this so much more than i thought i would! in the first third or so i was bored to death, it felt like absolutely nothing was happening. katia and jordan really pissed me off too. but it picked up later! all of the characters that i disliked in the beginning started to feel like real people. it just took the plot a second to get started

Took a while to become interested in this book perhaps it was because I purchased it second hand from Amazon and I think it had been housed in somebody's musty old basement. However, I did finish it and it was okay. A let down after reading The Great Alone.

Barbara Delinsky masterfully develops the characters and weaves several stories into several plots and ultimately the final plot with twists and turns. My only criticism is that it is a little slow in the first half. Otherwise, I loved it!

I was’t too interested in reading a murder mystery but I had put it on my reader so I decided to read it. What a great story. The sincerity of the characters was amazing. We live in a harsh world, but these characters had kindness for each other.
I highly recommend this book.

Barbara is one of my all time favorite authors. I own almost all her books. This book is another of her great stories that keeps you turning the pages. Two family members have died and there are lots of family secrets to complicate the answer as to why they are dead. Good read!
