An overwhelming alien force threatens humanity. An unborn child of incredible power. Her parent's mysterious past and an ancient alien species holds the key to human survival.
ARKLIGHT Regulus is the exciting and dramatic conclusion of the ARKLIGHT Ancient Alien Adventure Trilogy .
The global war rages as Dr. Tegan Strong-Locke and her allies struggle to stop the alien Etu Inu Idimmu from decimating the human race. Human resistance is strong, but willpower and the efforts of a united world military aren't enough to stop the Idimmu and their genetically engineered killing machines, the Xunta. As the Idimmu and the Xunta continue their relentless worldwide attacks, Tegan and an alien ally, the Igigi, work feverishly to produce and launch Deep Sky, a bioweapon that offers humanity the best hope against the onslaught. But Deep Sky alone may not be enough to provide salvation. New Xunta have been released and they are faster, more cunning, and they can swim. The underwater cities and outposts are now at risk. As Tegan and her unborn child, Kyla, grow stronger in Arklight energy, they learn that the power they control may offer another path to peace. It will require them to face the Monan, the supreme ruler of the Idimmu. The risks are high and there's no guarantee their confrontation will end the slaughter. But they have no choice. They must try before it's too late.

Arklight Regulus is the final novel in G. B. Holley’s Arklight Sci-Fi series. Dr Tegan Strong, a virologist, had been working on a secret Government project, Deep Sky that she hoped would be an incredible medical breakthrough that would benefit mankind. Finding out that her employers intended Deep Sky to be a bioweapon, Tegan had to flee for her life to the Bahamas where she assumes a new identity and finds a new life with Cal the owner of a charter sailing yacht. Whilst diving off Great Guana Cay Tegan discovered an alien marker which changed her life forever.
Discovering an underwater alien city, Tegan met the Igigi, the alien race who built it and learns that an ancestor of hers, an Igigi, who took a human mate, sacrificed everything to save the human race from the Idimmu, who had invaded Earth thousands of years ago. Tegan learns that the Idimmu are on their way to Earth again, fleeing their doomed planet and that she and her as yet unborn daughter Kyla will have to face and defeat the Idimmu, just as their ancestor did before.
The story continues with the war against the Idimmu, going badly. Even with the assistance of the Igigi, the death toll is rising. The Xunta, the Idimmu’s genetically engineered killing machines, have slaughtered billions and the Idimmu are seeking the way into the Igigi underwater city, that Tegan and survivors of the Idimmu attacks are sheltering in. Tegan realises that Deep Sky might have to be adapted as a bioweapon against the Idimmu. Tegan and Kyla’s both have special powers which are going stronger in the Arklight energy, but will they be enough to defeat the Idimmu.
I won’t give any more of the plot away as I don’t want to spoil the book for other readers. I will say though, that this final book in the Arklight trilogy kept me engrossed to the very last page and brought the trilogy to an exciting and dramatic conclusion. This is a series that I can highly recommend to all readers of well written Sci-fi and to others who enjoy a good action adventure.
This is the third (and final?) book in the Arklight series, which I have enjoyed reading. Over the course of the series the author explored a number of fascinating historical sites, ideas, theories, and locations related to popular UFO / ancient alien concepts. G.B. Holley has a wonderful knack for writing interesting and exciting action scenes which jump to life. I think the action scenes were some of the best written parts of the series!
In addition to the action scenes, the details of real life locations, military terms, and nautical/diving related topics in the story bring a feel of reality to this fantastic tale. I enjoyed the whole series and it kept me reading. I really enjoyed the sections where characters explored new locations.
Between some of the action scenes, there are a number of long dialog areas where the characters discuss what they think is happening. Some readers might find these sections to be somewhat long and drawn out, although they all help to move the concepts of the plot along to the next area. I would have liked to see some of the characters move a little more from the physical location where most of this third volume's story took place, but other side characters do go to various new locations and that helped a lot. The main characters staying in pretty much the same physical location through this book, and the long dialog areas were the only things that made me drop on star from rating it a perfect five, but I still enjoyed the series as a whole and recommend it to readers who are intrigued by the ideas of ancient alien stories and like a good alien invasion story.
The third book doesn't disappoint. I enjoyed learning more about the characters and their abilities. Regulus was a fast paced read with a lot of good action and suspense.
