I've enjoyed other works by this author Freshwater, Mega Croc, Mega Croc: Origins. I've been hoping to hear of a new release from him and finally I came across this novella and the beginning of a new Creature Feature series.

I was so excited and I was not disappointed in the storyline. It was action-packed and featured one of my favorite apex predators the Megalodon. The cover is revealing if you had any doubts about what you were going to be reading about.

My only annoyance is that I have to wait for the next novella in this series to come out. This story takes place on the ocean the Pacific involving a variety of water crafts. The tension is so thick the action intense. This is a super fast roller coaster ride. Hold on tight to that rail you don't want to fall to be thrown into these waters.

Taking a bite out of crime
Yep, that was a shark attack creature feature alright. This one featured a very nasty drug cartel boss that I was hoping would be the main course for the big beast. I won’t say if that happens but you can find out yourself fairly quickly in this fast paced, action packed, easy to read short story.

I understand that the point of these is that they are short, action-packed novellas. This one was a bit fun but wow it didn’t need to have so many different plots converging. Plus, starting a series like this with a damn megalodon is sort of like offering a fan of craft beer a PBR. I mean, I’ll drink it, but not exactly breaking new ground.
