In Vol. II, Sydney Reneé continues to prove that no matter the setback, there is always room for growth as a woman, mother, friend, spouse or whatever you choose to be. With this Diary, she hopes to continue to empower women, inspire them to be themselves, and to let them know that at the end of the day everything will be okay.
"Some days aren't as good as others, but let this book be a reminder that it gets better"
Meet Sydney Reneé, a talented writer from the Bay Area who has a passion for storytelling. From a young age, she knew she wanted to create relatable characters and experiences through her writing. Her love for writing only grew stronger as she discovered her talent for crafting blog posts, poems, and fictional stories.
Sydney Reneé's stories are a celebration of strong black women and the challenges they face every day, including love, heartbreak, friendships, and insecurities. Her books are sure to inspire women everywhere.
When she's not busy writing, Sydney Reneé loves spending time with her family, reading, catching up on her favorite K-dramas, attending concerts, and exploring Napa/St. Helena for some delicious wine and good times.
"I try not to overthink you because I’d hate to find out you don’t feel the same way I do, but I think I could love you… Don’t know if I can say the same for you." ~ more than friends
The sequel to heartfelt poetry book by Sydney Reneé, equally amazing and even better.
The book has been divided into four sections- THE BAD Comes before the good- The poems in this collection begin with a darker theme, consisting of days of depression and anxiety because of a failed relationship.
But that's not all. TAKE A CHANCE On Love- this section encourages the readers to fall in love, find the best person for ourselves. This one has got some amazing poems and musings about what true love is.
GROWTH Comes From Change- These poems include all the motivation one needs to grow, the changes one needs to make and the difficult decisions one has to take, coming out from a troubled position in life to become a better person.
Last but not the least, the NOTES FROM SHE section is the author's personal notes to herself and to the readers, in my opinion the best part of the book.
The poems are on varied themes- loving and failed relationships, breaking off the toxic ones, finding the perfect balance, motherhood and the joys of it, and self-esteem and self-confidence.
Sure, it's just 124 pages, but it's quite deep and I was unable to finish it quickly, I practically took breaks in between reading, taking a few poems at a time and enjoying their essence. Sydney Reneé writes poetry so effortlessly and it's heart-touching and has all the feels!
