In this installment, all the men of Douchecanoe go missing, and Prudenzia and a stalwart team of local shapeshifters (and one banshee) go looking for them.Reviewers call The Incompetent Witch and the Missing Men “a crazy, hilarious and over-the-top new tale"..."one fun and sidesplitting read”...and "clever and naughty—let all inhibitions go and enjoy the ride!"Frigid Brigid is at it again, working hilariously evil magicin her never-ending quest to destroy Prudenzia. This time, she devises a way to turn all the men of Greater Douchecanoe--including Hunter!--into her fawning love slaves. Prudenzia gets help from the local shapeshifting females, whose animal propensities come in handy. In the meantime, a mysterious witch who at first draws everyone's suspicion arrives on the scene. Is she a threat? Or is she on Prudenzia's side? And does is the message she brings about Prudenzia's true destiny for real, or just meant to mess with our heroine's head? And, of course, can Prudenzia free the men from Frigid Brigid before it's too late?
I wasn't sure about this book because I really didn't like the first one in the series, this one is better. The euphemisms for anatomy and innuendo was distracting, with everything else that gets said about sex and all the cussing I don't understand why this is where the author decided to draw the line with what Pru was comfortable talking about. I keep waiting for Roger to make an appearance.
What do you get when you put two crazy healer witches, a Banshee, and two Shifters, that call themselves S.W.A.T.? Well actually A.W.A.T. You get one crazy, hilarious and over the top new tale. This is one fun and sidesplitting read.
Another unique story. One of family, even though they are not blood. I still love the use of words in these books. Cracks me up! Keep up the good work! I look forward to the next one in the series!
