SUMMARY OF Quiet: THE POWER OF INTROVERTS IN A WORLD THAT CAN'T STOP TALKING BY SUSAN CAIN

Limited Time $2.99

The first chapter in Cain’s book talks about the shift in personality from being a serious, honorable, and stoic person to a more well liked and charismatic person. Cain explains this shift due to the industrialization era, where people were surrounded by strangers and unknown people. In order to succeed in this time, you would have to be well liked and popular with a lot of different people.

During the early 1900’s what followed after industrialization was the self help movement. There became a massive influx of new self-help material teaching men how to become more outgoing and likeable in the real world. For women, this self-help movement meant that they were learning how to use their personalities to get what they wanted from men. In addition to the self-help movement, advertisement also focused on the social ramifications of their products. These new advertisements promised solutions to social problems instead of featuring the product’s features.

Please note that this is an independent addition to " The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking" that supplements your understanding to the original book. Absolute waste of money

This is so brief and so simplistic I could literally read it in just minutes. It reads like a junior high book report, and some of the summaries of the conclusions of the chapters is just plain wrong. Rubbish.
