This action-packed historical novel commences on the aftermath of The Battle of Hastings, following the fortunes of both the victorious Normans as well as the vanquished English.
In the years following “The Conquest”, the Norman hold on England is sorely tested with revolts flaring up all over the country, mainly led by two English noblemen, Wild Edric who with his Welsh allies expelled his Norman enemies from large areas of England, whilst 'Hereward the Wake' harried and destroyed the hated Normans from his secret base on the island of Ely, hidden deep in the marshlands of East Anglia. The new King William ravages the north, slaying all who stand in his way, and sending the survivors north into the land of King Malcolm of Scotland.
