Or could they?

The tutor who needed help

This series has been a joy to read. I find it thrilling at times and relaxing at times. I have come to love the characters in the series. I don't tell what is in the books I read. That is for you to read and find out. I would recommend this series to anyone. But these families go through a lot. Off to the next book in this series.

Alex Mercer runs a successful blog designed to help find missing children and bring them home. Now he has to decide whether to keep up with the important work he's doing through his blog or take it down to keep his family safe. There is a cyber-stalker threatening him, one who will go to any lengths to accomplish his goal. His wife and oldest daughter will soon find out just how far he'll go to get Alex to take down his blog. There's sinister work at hand, will Officer Alex Mercer be able to protect his family from Stalker420?

Simultaneously Alex's best friend, police Captain Nick Fleshman, is taking the next step with his combined family. Together with his fiancee and their four kids work begins on their recently purchased dream home. The only downside is that they have to dig through and clean out the belongings of the deceased ninety-year-old who used to live there. Before long Nick and his family discover more than just an old man's belongings...
Danger Zone was my introduction to the world of Alex Mercer. With that being said, I'd like to note that this is the 8th installment of this thriller series. I requested a copy due to the story's synopsis and the author. I've heard many good things about Stacy Claflin and have been wanting to check out her work for some time now. I was a little worried about starting this far into the series figuring I would be at a disadvantage character and history-wise. Luckily I was able to dive right in and did not want to stop. Danger Zone is a fast-paced, relatively short thriller with just over 200 pages. The writing was easy to follow and I quickly found myself sucked into each character's storyline. The few references to events from previous books just made me want to catch up all the more and luckily did not hinder my ability to follow along with Danger Zone's story. I'd recommend this book to anyone looking for a fast-paced, easy to read thriller especially those already familiar with the Alex Mercer thriller series. I'm rating this a 5 out of 5 stars!

Thank you to the Story Origin App and the author, Stacy Claflin. I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. I look forward to reading more about Alex Mercer!

Wow, poor Nick and Alex sure have their problems in this book. Nick and Genevieve have purchased a house big enough that it will fit their family. The owner of the house is a Televangelist's son, his dad has passed away and all he wants is to get rid of the place. This is good and bad for Nick's family, the good they get to keep everything in the house. The bad every room is full of stuff and they have to decide whether it is good or trash. When Nick discovers an attic door in the master bedroom that has been painted closed the family can't wait to see what might be up there. Will it be some great antiques or was the door painted shut for a reason? Meanwhile Alex is still dealing with a stalker that wants him to take his blog down that helps find missing kids. Alex isn't just dealing with this Ariana his daughter is acting like she hates him and his wife Zoey is ignoring him. There is so much going on in this story you wonder how Ms. Claflin keeps coming up with new ideas to make our characters suffer. A very exciting read with lots of suspense, mystery and romance. It is also a clean read which makes it even better. Everything I like in a good book to take me out of my life and into the one of great characters. I totally recommend this book if these are the things you like tòo.
I received a free download of this book from the publisher. I am writing this review because I really enjoyed this book and wanted to share my opinion.

😟 Mercer and Fleshman up to their necks in it, again! 👍👍

😍 I love the Alex Mercer series and this story, like the earlier ones, is a fast-paced pageturner, with friends Alex Mercer and his boss Nick Fleshman embroiled in murder mystery, endangered family members and lots of family drama. When I pick up a Stacy Claflin thriller I can't put it down!

Nick is looking forward to a happy future with his fiancee and blended family but is shocked when his daughter makes a macabre discovery in their new home; he will not rest until he solves the mystery behind it. Poor Alex deals with an ever more threatening mystery stalker while his teenage daughter grows unsettlingly distant and secretive. I love Claflin's writing style, which keeps both plotlines on the boil simultaneously with ever escalating tension.

These are two families with real life problems but, admittedly, to the nth degree. I can't get enough of this series😊

I read a complimentary review copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

Highly recommend! I’ve been fortunate to have read all of the Alex Mercer books to date and this latest one is just as suspenseful/surprising as the others, with highs and lows for all. A common thread is that of abduction and how this family, their friends, and communities deal with it. Alex is particularly poised to cope and professionally contribute given his law enforcement background and training. However, these situations are personal, unexpected, and perplexing. Alex and his immediate family members become drawn into a variety of webs this time, involving the past and the present. Secrets are dangerous things, especially when others seek to hurt or control through them. No spoilers here, just be prepared to read straight through! Please note that I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review. Enjoy!

Suspense, blackmail, deceit, secrets and so much more! These great family characters who care about 1 another, will fight for 1 another, and with each other, love one another. And yes they have their share of family drama, real life issues, teenager with a crush, hiding things from parents, parents trying to get by day by day, hour by hour. And that doesn't just include Alex and his family, Captain (Nick) Fleshman and his family find more hidden secrets and issues in their soon to be new home that will have some more than others with more questions.
Received copy and this is my honest review.

I love this series! Ms. Claflin has a writing style that really lends itself to these fast paced thrillers. She hooks you into the story from the beginning with the threat of danger & keeps you involved until the end. There are little things that indicate what’s going on but it’s difficult to put them all together since they come from different directions. There is a secondary mystery that has Alex’s boss/friend preoccupied. These characters are excellently portrayed & have taken on lives of their own. I really can’t wait to see what they get embroiled in next!

I really love this series. This is book 8 and I think it would be extremely helpful to start at number 1 or you will be a little lost. I like getting to know the characters and seeing what happens in their lives. In this one, Alex has a stalker that wants him to shut down his blog on missing kids. Nick and Genevieve buy a house that has a mummy in the attic. I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next in both storylines. The book is well written and I didn't want to out it down. I definitely recommend this series.

Danger Zone is the latest Alex Mercer novel where Ariana acts reserved towards her dad but admires her tutor, Zoey gets harassed at an interview, Nick has more than some sorting out to do in his new house and the stalker gets into action again.

Whenever you think Stacy can't come up with another drama revolving around Alex and his friends, she does it again and it's never boring. It scares me to think what stunts mean people can pull off just like the stalker does and OMG the ending...

I received an advanced copy of this ebook in exchange for my honest review.

Brilliant!

Considering this is the 8th book, I was wondering what else could possibly happen to Alex Mercer, his family and friends after previous abductions, including a cult abduction, family feuds, unknown biological parents and more. This story had me gripped right from the start, lots of twists and wonderful characters you want to see succeed whatever comes their way. I look forward to seeing what is next and to watch these characters grow.

When you think nothing more can happen to Alex and his family and friends it does of course happen! There seems to be no end to the torment and worry that everyone are continually put through but the stories are still interesting with twists and turns keeping you wondering what's next. This story is true to the Alex Mercer series and involves kidnapping, abuse and this time an exorcism! We are left with not so much a cliffhanger but a knowing that there will be more Alex Mercer to come.

I received a free advance reader review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my review. I have read every book in the Alex Mercer series and this one didnt disappoint me either. I loved it. Such a different storyline that it made it interesting to read. Some will say it's filled with things that can never happen in real life but isn't that why we read? I really enjoyed it and I recommend it!

I feel like Alex and Nick and their respective families are people I actually know! I am so vested in the adventures and threats they experience, this book is no different. Excellent book, multiple storylines to keep the reader engrossed fully. No empty dialogues here! Can't wait for the next adventure! I did receive a free review copy, but opinions are completely my own and I voluntarily left this review so others know how amazing this series is!

One of the better ones in the series. These books keep you interested and are great quick reads. Perfect for traveling or if you only have a little bit of down time to read. Easy to follow but not always easy to figure out.

Started slow and very much like other books in this series but it didn't take long for it to be a page turner. I stayed up way too late to finish it. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
