This is one of those stories where the characters are dealing with some major life events and are accepting life's truths while they are finding themselves and trying to achieve their HEA. One that is so well woven that I found myself becoming emotionally involved in the characters lives and so wanting to help them see the right choice. Very captivating plot with twists, emotions, drama, and intriguing characters. Loved the side stories and characters. Handsome reminded me of a dog I used to have and so glad Goody found his forever home.

Murphy's Choice by Becke Turner is an emotional, sizzling, magnetic story of two people looking for the future they believe they need instead of the one fate and the universe creates for them. Chaz Gaetti, the daughter of a single mother, had a nomadic childhood and was resentful of their family who would not help them. Chaz returned to her hometown upon learning her uncle is terminally ill and that she was his heir. Operating with a number of misconceptions Chaz was determinated not to be talked out of them or learn the alternate truth. Nate Murphy is a ‘townie’ from a respectable family, youngest of the three boys, who is looking to find himself by leaving town and avoid competing with his older brothers. He is easygoing and avoids confrontation, at least until he is confronted by a whirlwind named Chaz, in the town eatery. That’s when the fun begins as Chaz and Nate circle around each other and the challenges facing them: Chaz’s desire to liquidate her uncle’s beloved restaurant in order to further her life’s plan. Nate has an entire different view of her uncle and wants to help the uncle reconcile with Chaz. Throw in two lovely senior twins, a dog with nine puppies, and Chaz and Nate’s strong attraction for each other and you have a wonderful story starring two young adults with firm goals that just might not be in their best interests versus the plan fate lays out for them.

Ms. Turner wrote an emotional and wonderful romance that should not be missed. She provided a tale rich with emotions, sizzling chemistry, clever banter, and endearing characters giving Chaz and Nate a chance at love, and a future together. I highly recommend Murphy's Choice to other readers.

I received this book as a complimentary copy and am voluntarily reviewing it.

Chaz Gaetti is a very tightly wound young woman from a problematic background who has returned to her hometown because her uncle is terminally ill. She is operating with a boatload of misconceptions and a determination not to be dissuaded from them.

Nate Murphy is a ‘townie’ from a respectable family, youngest of three boys, who is looking to find himself by leaving town and avoid having to compete with his older brothers. He is easygoing and avoids confrontation until he finds himself clobbered by hurricane Chaz in the town eatery. And then the fun begins as Chaz and Nate circle around each other and the challenges facing them: Chaz’s desire to liquidate her uncle’s beloved restaurant in order to further her life’s plan, Nate wanting to help the uncle reconcile with Chaz, two oldsters, a dog and nine puppies, and Chaz and Nate’s strong attraction for each other.

Nate’s comfortable family shows a sharp contrast to Chaz’s background and she would like such a family but has no idea how to go about getting it. Nate has to push her., knowing he will likely lose her in doing so.

I liked the push-pull of the two 20 somethings and their journey . A winsome story of normal people with firm goals maybe not in their best interests versus what in the end is the best plan for themselves. I’ve read all of Ms. Turner’s books and like them.

If you have read any of the other books in the series, reading this book is like returning to chat and spend time with friends. It’s comforting and heartwarming. Nate is still as sweet and loyal and unaware of just how great he is.
If you haven’t read any of the books you can still read this one as it’s a complete story from one moment in the characters’ world.
Chaz is a spitfire, I love her (flaws and all) and I love the colourful townspeople she meets on her return.
The book will leave you with a smile on your face and have you wanting to return back to see the characters next steps (or even previous steps) and feel a part of their world, in the best type of escapism.

Murphy's choice is an engaging enemies to lovers small town romance. Chaz's Uncle Guido is terminally ill and she returns to her hometown of Sunberry, North Carolina with big plans for her inheritance. However, there are complications in her big plans-the biggest one being Nate Murphy. Misconceptions and mistrust make for complicated relationships and an interesting plot. I was quickly turning the pages to see how Chaz's and Nate's obvious attraction played out. I look forward to next visit to this charming town and it's lovable characters.

Good Hearts Hide Behind Big Emotions

I really liked Chas and Nate, although Chas’s stubbornness was quite frustrating. I didn’t quite understand how she could know how much her mother struggled mentally and know that her circumstances were due to her mother’s dreams and unwillingness to be selfless,, but constantly blame her uncle for everything. My favorite part had to be Chas’s ability to take control. I loved that ending.

Dear Reader,
Welcome to Nate Murphy's romance. Nate's story was a double-edged sword. I knew his character because I created him as a young boy in Home to Stay and he's slowly grown in Whit and Kyle's stories. I was also locked in on his history. That said, I had a lot of freedom to create a woman to drive him nuts and show him the way home to love.

I hope you enjoy his growth.
