Reading this book from a guy's perspective stirs a lot of emotions within. I think I connected deeply with the character of Adam Roberts, and how the chaos in his mind was being told by the Universe. We don't get to read many books these days that touch upon the emotions of a man, but this book has dug deep into that surface and not to mention, so well. I am not an emotional person but this was a very heartfelt story, so yes, there were a few tears, especially the part where Augustus (Adam in 1836) and Roselyn told each other stories. I look forward to reading Volume 2.

This book has a deep message
There are times when you get a certain feeling, completely out of the blue, and it just shakes you from within, giving you some kind of epiphany, or insecurity, or even happiness sometimes. I truly believe in the power of the Universe, that it observes, it guides us, it keeps giving us the message, and this book has touched upon those nuances extremely well through the life of Adam Roberts, who is a well-known celebrity, living in Los Angeles, but his mind is always somewhere else... a place that even he is struggling to figure out, which eventually he does after he takes a past life regression.
I sometimes go through that phase too, trying to understand what is this Universe trying to tell me... I had come across the idea of taking past life regression therapy too, but I am too scared to know about that world... Please note that I am not promoting past life regression therapy, I am just sharing my feelings that resurfaced when I read this beautiful story. It touched me on a deeper level that I can't fully explain in words. Sometimes, some books have that effect on you.
Coming to the story again, I loved many dialogues... It is written in third person POV, where Universe is narrating the story and I liked the small notes from the Universe in between:
But is anyone ever real to you? What it takes for a person to be completely transparent… be an open book… be entirely naked, showing all the layers of their personality… good or bad… beautiful and ugly… boring and interesting? Maybe Adam was yet to figure out that every aspect of someone’s life can never be known, until the time reveals it.
Another beautiful dialogue:
He breathed as if he was absorbing all her fears, and with his veins trembling inside his body, he gave all his remaining strength, securing her in his arms and said, “I am, and I will always be by your side, Rose.”
And the most beautiful part was the stories they told, especially at the end, which had me crying like crazy.
I liked how the characters stayed connected with the Universe and the conversation surrounding it felt very refreshing and pure.

I have had an honor of receiving this book as an ARC. It is a very unique story with a surprisingly unexpected ending. Universe is narrating this story, so the POV is 3rd person.
Based on past life regression, it starts with the year 2022, with a Hollywood celebrity, Adam Roberts who is in a loving relationship but it turns out to be a mistake. He has been going through some emotional struggles since ages, and his best friend, Martha is always by his side. The friendship between them is so beautiful and heart warming.
Adam ends up taking a past life regression therapy that takes him to the year 1836, where he finds the love of his life. Their love story ends on a very sad note and I was sobbing so hard at the end. I am not going to tell much about this because I might giveaway the spoiler. But the romance, the conversations and the life's journey of Adam Roberts in his past life as well as the current life was beautifully crafted. I loved the character of Martha as well.
What I loved the most was how the story revolves around person's soul (and the subconscious mind) giving a message that what we are learning in our current life is our soul's craving.

After so long I have read something that's written in third person. I was sold at that part itself, because it is the Universe who is telling this story.
Adam Roberts is a famous celebrity and despite having fame, money, girlfriend, best friend, he doesn’t feel settled and is constantly struggling with some chaos in his mind. After facing a big shock (hiding the spoiler), he decides to take a past life regression therapy (Universe keeps giving him this sign) and this becomes a turning point in this story. He goes back to his past life in 1836 where he was Augustus Milanhope, an archer in a small town called Abbeymary in Northern England. He teaches archery to a daughter of a wealthy merchant. Her name is Roselyn. They fall in love, but will Torylord (Roselyn’s childhood friend) accept their love? ♥️
I can’t reveal specifics to avoid giving spoilers of this beautiful story. The setting of Abbeymary town, the castles, the grassland, the relationships, the friendship and every dialogue is written with so much of warmth and emotion, I could feel myself drowning in every page. The romance is so amazing, the fear, the tension, the fight… I loved every bit of it and I cried my eyes out at the endings. Can’t wait to read the second part.

It's been quite long since I picked up any emotional story and ahhh! this book made me wonder why did I go on that route again. I will be honest, I enjoyed the first half of the book, then in the middle I felt like the story was dragging, but I get it, sometimes those things are necessary for the story to paint a picture in reader's mind. I adored the conversations between Augustus and Roselyn and I wish there were more dialogues like that. Hey! I know, I know, I just said story became lengthy in the middle part, and here I am asking for more dialogues. But it's because the story is super interesting and the flow keeps going, it kept me hooked throughout.
It becomes absolutely bone chilling by the time it ends and I loved how it ends on a cliffhanger. Can't wait to read what's in store for Adam Roberts now.

It is a very unique and mind bending story. I am not the person who believes in the past life or after life, but fiction is fiction for a reason, right? As far as this story is concerned, I loved all the characters, especially Martha. She is a true friend everyone needs. And I agree with other reviewers here, the ending was so emotional, mind blowing and totally unexpected. I would suggest you savour each and every page before you take a look at the last one. The wait will be totally worth it.

This book touched all the strings of my heart. It was emotional, romantic, funny, fearsome and kind of connects on a deeper level. I agree with one of the reviews here - while reading it I could get the hint of the book "Many Lives Many Masters" which shows your past connection with people in your current life. The way this story revolves around love and friendship really spoke with me. It just makes you want to never take your loved ones for granted and love them even more. The ending was really unexpected and I am looking forward for the next part.

This is a story of a heartbreak, a story of love from the past and a story of a promise between two souls.
Adam Roberts always felt that he is different. His thoughts and feeling were always kept with himself. He knew that he’s missing something in his life but what is it? After breaking up with Fiona, he felt called to meet someone who was an expert in past life and reincarnation in searching for the answers to every unexplainable things occurred to him.
So basically, Adam got to tap into his past life, a memory during year of 1836. Adam is known as Augustus and this is the story of him and the love of his life, Roselyn. The tragedy of their love was so heart wrenching! I had goosebumps at the end of the book.
I truly love the idea and plot of the book. Heck, it was so awesome! It’s a love beyond the present, the idea of living another life and finding someone you have loved before in your past life.
But sadly I could not love the writing. It was kinda awkward and I couldn’t fully connect with the characters most of the time. The story during the 1836 was mainly focused on Roselyn that I felt like Augustus were being overshadowed. I can clearly see how deeply Rose loved Augustus but sometimes I can’t see how desperately Augustus loved her. But if you read the way Adam acted during 2022, I can say that all the traumas and the tragedy in 1836 truly affected Adam.
Will I pick up volume 2 of this book? Yeah for the sake of witnessing the moment when Adam will meet his present-day Roselyn. Like I said, I’m all in with the concept and idea of this book, just not the way it was written.

This is a mix of historical fiction and western romance because the story revolves around two different time periods (starting with 2022 and then taking us way back in 1836). Adam Roberts is a well-known celebrity, and like every celeb, his real and reel life are very different (one would think!). But in fact, he is struggling with the emotions that even he cannot figure out (subconscious mind jumps into the picture). A business woman named Martha is his childhood best friend and I loved their relationship. It is beautifully depicted. When he takes a past life regression therapy, many secrets get revealed... like why he would suddenly have angry outburst after seeing or listening to certain things, why is he so close to Martha, her obsession of buying so many houses, etc.. etc..
If you have read Many lives Many Masters by Brian Weiss, this story will make a lot of sense to you in understanding the role of certain people in our lives. I could relate to so many things and I feel author was inspired by this book while writing about certain events and relationships.
This is a truly heartbreaking story that ends on such a note that made me jump out of the couch.
I don't think I have ever waited so eagerly for the release of the second part of any book before. I guess I will just have to wait while I bite my nails.

Personally, I’m not someone who believes in past lives, so until this book was presented to me, I never thought of it to be a focus in a fictional plot. My curiosity was piqued!
The book begins in modern times, following Adam through a turbulent time in his relationship with Fiona. Adam eventually finds an interest in exploring his past life. There, the story shifts to 1836 where we see Adam/Augustus and his relationship with a girl named Roselyn.
I loved the writing and ease of dialogue. For some reason though, I was thrown off by the time period switch despite knowing it was coming. Thankfully, it didn’t take too long to switch gears. I found both halves of the stories strong and with promise for an equally compelling continuation.

I always have mixed feelings about this author's books. She comes up with unique, intriguing ideas for stories that make her books stand out. On the other hand, I really wish she would hire a professional editor. I think her story ideas deserve that.
This book, like others, is deeply romantic. I don't mean sex and I don't mean nonstop scenes of kissing. I mean the story is centered on the concept of deep, lasting, once-in-a-lifetime love. The events of the story jump from the present to the previous life of the main character. The story isn't really resolved--which didn't bother me.
My rating is based on appreciating the concept and plot while struggling with the writing itself.

This book is written in 3rd person POV, which I always prefer (Pride and Prejudice, Dune, Tomorrow, Tomorrow and Tomorrow, etc., comes to my mind). It was easy for me to gel in with the POV of the Universe that gives it a perfect blend of reality and magical realism. With a very emotional story, it highlights certain messages every now and then that feels so philosophical and relatable at the same time. At many places I went like, "Wow! that's deep."
Overall a very unique plot that gave me goosebumps at the end. I recommend this book for sure and I am eagerly waiting for the volume 2.

A Tale of Renascence by Arriah Kiprujistho is a profound story of romance and revival. The novel has interesting and unique plot ideas, focusing on a person's past transgressions and inner subconsciousness.
Unfortunately, the writing was fairly clunky and telling to the reader. Whilst reading, I got the impression the book may have been written in another language and then run through a translator, which could be a reason for the awkwardness. Or I could be completely wrong, and there's no miscommunication in translation. My apologies if that's the case.
The characters, particularly Adam and Martha, do seem quite complex and I imagine fans of emotional romance stories will find some enjoyment here.

Most of us aspire for it and want it. Offcourse, there are several benefits of it. Be it with money, opportunities or have your voice being heard.
This is the story of Adam who had everything. A great family - both parents were successful investment bankers and kind , a great friend since childhood - Martha who is a successful fashion designer and love investing in houses and a actress girlfriend Fiona.
Adam himself was an accomplished model and now a box office hit actor in hollywood. All was going well but his mind was a mess.Or that's what he always told.
His relationship with Fiona was going well. Other than his morning erratic behaviour, he always a loving and caring boyfriend. He launched and helped several actors including Fiona. He had a reputation of being a good human. After being in relationship for four years, Fiona wanted to take the next step.
But when Adam was ready to take it further, he was in for a shock.
Fiona was in love with her new costar and academy nominee. Adam is devastated.
What will be the status of their relationship now ?
Meanwhile, Adam's friend Martha was not approving if Fiona. But Martha has a weird rule when it comes to love.
Will the childhood buddies find love in friendship ?
A good read. Well written. Its fast paced. The author has developed the characters well. I liked the brutal honesty of Martha and the loving nature of Adam. Even Fiona's role had a reality to it.
For anyone looking for a cozy weekend read, you can pick this one.

Till death Do Us Part is an expression that we have heard so many couples saying to each other over and over again.
It is believed that true love has the power and the capacity to endure any circumstances, to reach across any distance.
However, then question arises pertaining what would happen if this love transcends time and death both, and rather than just being confined to the present memories, it breaks the trivial forces keeping the two individuals apart and revives again.
‘A Tale of Renascence’ by author Arriah K is based on a similar concept where two lovers, who were harshly separated in their past life are given a second chance in the present to complete their incomplete story, however both are unaware about it.
The book begins with the introduction of our main protagonist, Adam, in the year 2022, living his Hollywood Dream being a successful actor and seemingly having a life that is envied by many.
While watching television one day, his interest is piqued when the topic of past life regression therapy comes up in a commercial and thus begins his journey of exploration.

"A Tale of Renascence" by Arriah K is a book which is based on fictional genre. This is my first read from the author and I am so glad that I picked it up. This read was unique for me, as it involves the universe who is correcting it's mistake. Doesn't it sound interesting at this stage only?
I am really impressed with the author's creative mind, the ideas which she used while penning down this read and her thoughts just commendable.

This read is the first volume and it talks about the past of the protagonist, Adam Roberts.
He was a Hollywood celebrity, and was struggling with a chaos, that he was unaware of. The story was set back in the year 1836 which was the flashback of the protagonists life. Grab your copies and go through the roller coaster ride of emotions.
Now, coming on the book cover, it's bright and soothing. Very well-designed and presented. The title was apt and well-suited. The writing style of the author was rich and reader-friendly. The pace was okayish. The plot was great. All the characters were strongly presented and well-built.
Overall, a great read and will definitely recommend.

Love, Heartbreak, Loss, Self discovery & much more is what the protagonist goes through, and the above lines pretty much sums up his state of mind.
At first, this novel feels like your typical love saga where the couple goes through realistic set of emotions to either towards their end or a fairy tale life, but that's where Dami strikes. Just when you are eased in the twist in the story, jolt you up to something unexpected with an insane cliffhanger.

Special mention to Dami's writing even though tackling common grounds but the conviction, earnesty and the authenticity shine through the words captivating you on this journey called A Tale of Renascence. The story revolves around the protagonist Adam Roberts, a Hollywood celebrity who was in love with Canadian actress Fiona and she was serious about their relationship but Adam was not. After facing constant struggles and chaos in his life Adam decided to take past life regression therapies which took him back to 1836 where he finds his true love.
The author has narrated the story really well which has the elements like romance, betrayal, destiny, true love, incarnation etc. The writing style of the author is smooth and flowing that makes it an engaging read. Language used is simple and easily understandable. I liked the concept of story telling which is from the Universe's point of view. The cover of the book is beautiful and the title is totally apt to the content. The flow of the book is well paced.

It is my first time to read this kind of storyline and I applaud the author for coming up with it. However, I just find the writing style a little awkward as some parts were kind of repetitive. I believe it lacks some depth and surprise to it that most of the scenes were just conversations about their love for each other. Also noticed some plotholes. Like, how is a castle left unguarded to such point? Why the lack of security?
All in all, I loved the cliff hanger. It left a great impact and I can't wait to know what happens next to the present Adam in Volume 2. Lastly, I would like to thank the author for giving me a copy and entrusting me to give an honest review 💝

I really enjoyed A Tale of Renascence by Dami Yani — especially the time travel aspect, which was creative and full of twists. The storyline kept me guessing, and that ending had me completely clutched! I couldn’t stop turning pages to see how it all came together.
That said, some parts of the writing and editing felt a little rough around the edges, which pulled me out of the story here and there. But the concept itself is strong, and the author’s imagination shines through.
Overall, this was a fun and emotional read that stuck with me after finishing. If you enjoy time travel with heart and high stakes, this one’s worth picking up.

Being part of the film industry in LA, this story really hit home - I could relate so well to Adam Roberts and all of his experiences. The author really captured the “real life” of a typical LA, actor and to a great extent, their personality.
I also really liked the “Fated Mates” aspect of the story. As the story opens, Adam has a gorgeous actress girlfriend, but he feels it’s just not enough. He thinks something is missing in his life and sees a therapist to regress him to a previous life in Northern England.+- It’s there that he discovers his soulmate, Roselyn … but their relationship also has its twists and turns.
When Adam is brought back to the present modern-day LA, he remembers Roselyn from the dream … and in a teasing sentence, we learn that in England, a present-day woman named Yvaine had experienced that too, leaving us to wonder (hope) they would get together. Enjoyable tale of romance.

And she's ready for marriage. He's not and is happy with things the way they are. Unfortunately she's not willing to wait much longer. When their relationship spins out of control Adam is forced to look inward. He finds a therapist and embarks on past life regression therapy. Suddenly the story shifts from 2022 to 1836. From this point, reincarnation dominates the story. Memories of his dormant previous true love is revived—its joy and tragic loss.
The premise of the story is a fascinating concept but its execution didn't quite work for me. I was so invested in the 2022 Adam, that I was disappointed that the last half of the book was with the 1836 Adam. The story ended abruptly with a cliffhanger ending that suggests there is resolution for 2022 Adam. But that will be in book 2 of the series. Perhaps if the modern story had been shorter, I wouldn't have been as disappointed. I never really connected with the past Adam although I wanted to, because the book's concept is compelling and I wanted to love it.

I smiled with the characters and cried with them, and when I reached the final page, I felt myself wanting more. The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is due to the beginning of the story not being engaging enough and only managing to capture me as I contemplated giving up on it. However, this slow start was necessary to set up the rest of the story to be as wonderful as it was.

Good story, but the writing style made the book confusing to read.
I was approached by the author to read this book in exchange for a review.
The concept of this book is really interesting! The idea of reincarnation isn’t one I’ve often read about, and it was so cool to see this idea explored through this book. I also thought the two storylines were very interesting–you can see the similar traits of all those who share a soul. That being said, the writing style wasn’t my favorite. There were grammar and spelling issues, as well as inaccuracies that made it a bit difficult to read at times. But, I did like the storyline a lot, which allowed me to look past these issues. I would recommend this book to fans of time-centric books.

Good read!
I definitely love the idea of this book. As the reader you are in the POV of the Universe and it was so interesting to read! There's kind of a story in a story in this book and I'm hoping a Volume 2 comes soon so that we can see the end of Adams story. Rose and Augustus story had such a sad ending that I need an HEA for Adam and his time period Rose.

With the potential of a good story, this effort bogs down with far too many problems. First, the writing style is superficial and juvenile. Characters are flat and the language stiff and stilted. Second, and perhaps the greatest problem is that the author commits the egregious sin of telling rather than showing.
And then there is the problem of who exactly is telling the story? The narrator shifts between third-person limited and omniscient with the omniscient narrator providing irrelevant insights in editorial asides before switching back to the limited narrator. I found these omniscient narrator asides both irritating and distracting.
When the story switches from 2022 Los Angeles to 1836 England, the author simply ignores the entire Victorian setting of England, especially the rules regarding courting and etiquette, particularly amongst the upper classes. Our protagonist, Adam/ Augustus, supposedly comes from a “respectable upper middle-class family.” The problem? Just prior to that tidbit, we’re informed that his father left his mother, and his mother is now making ends meet as a seamstress. Of course, that apparently doesn’t matter because Augustus has the run of Rose’s father’s house to the point of simply walking into her bedroom and spending the night! The author would have benefited from reading George Eliot’s Middlemarch which occurs at almost the same time and place as this novel.
Anachronisms… The reader has been transported to England in 1836, yet the language is still contemporary American English. Words like “wow” (which the author uses quite a bit) in its repeated context is a 20th century use; or “Okay” an Americanism from the 1840s; or “hassle” as in “Was coming here too much of a hassle for you?” is a 20th century use; or Augustus discussing philosophy as an “emotional wringer of existential crisis.” Existentialism, as a philosophical movement, began in the mid-to-late 19th century. In fact, the term ‘existentialism’ wasn’t used until 1940s.
Clichés and visuals. A few examples: “The moonlight spilled all over the place.” “The hearthland was lavishly decked with beautiful flowers, oil lamps and carpets for miles around.” “He was calm as the cucumber.” “Everyone felt as though someone from heaven had arrived to bless the special event. His presence was like a breath of fresh air.” And the frequently used, “…brought a smile of satisfaction to his/her face.”
My final comment is that this work suffers from lack of editing and proofing.

Adam Roberts is a big Hollywood movie star. He is dating Fiona, a Hollywood actress. She wants more from their relationship. She wants marriage but Adam isn’t there yet. But he buys a ring anyway and just before he’s about to propose, he walks in on her cheating on him. Adam starts to spiral. He also feels like something is missing. He ends up thinking a lot about recantation and ends up going to see someone who specialises in it. And then all his memories unlock from his previous life in the 1800’s. He was a teacher called Augustus, he taught archery. He fell in love with Roselyn and she fell in love with him too. But Torylord wants to marry Roselyn, and wants Augustus out of the way. Augustus and Roselyn have a secret affair. Cicily Roselyn’s best friend has feelings for Torylord, not knowing what kind of person he really is. Torylord and Cicily end up having sex and Cicily is under the impression he loves her, but he still tries to ask their father for Roselyn’s hand in marriage. Torylord gets angry and attacks Roselyn after she slaps him for calling Cicily a Whore. He threatens to marry her and make her life hell. Augustus beats Torylord and breaks a lot of his bones. Augustus then asks her dad for her hand and he eventually agrees. Not long before the wedding, Torylord breaks in and attacks Augustus and Roselyn with his guards. They find Cicily dead, stabbed in the stomach. Torylord stabs Augustus and Roselyn dies from a heart attack. The book ends with Augustus dying and then waking up from the hypnosis. We also learn that modern day Roselyn lives in London.
I did really enjoy the story. I do have one big critique. It really needed an editor. There were a lot of typos and sentences that didn’t make sense. Some of the wording was clunky and some choices of words didn’t match the era. I did enjoy the story nonetheless. I got more into Augustus and Roselyn than Adam and Fiona. I preferred the 1800’s part of the story. I’m sad that Martha completely disappeared. I would like to read the sequel when it eventually comes out!

An interesting premise
I believe the author of “A Tale of Renascense” intended the book to offer a serious look at reincarnation and past life regression therapy. She came up with an interesting premise for doing so, the story of a Hollywood celebrity actor/director, Adam, who struggles to find meaning in his life following a breakup. Adam enlists the help of a therapist and, under hypnosis, lives the experience of his past life as Augustus, a self-made merchant and archery expert in England in 1836. Even more intriguing, the story is purportedly narrated by the universe.
Unfortunately for me, the universe came up short as a narrator. Just under 40% of the book follows Adam, his unfaithful fiancée-to-be, and his close friends. More than 60% of the story then moves on to Augustus, his true love Roselyn, and assorted supporting characters. I was reasonably engaged in Adam’s story, but when the universe began the overly long narration of Augustus and Roselyn’s story things went south for me. No attempt was made to present a realistic picture of 1836 England, its Victorian culture and norms, its architecture, speech patterns, or much of anything. The narration was also rather juvenile, coming across as a YA fairy tale with the exception of several spicy but breathless and repetitive scenes between the protagonists. As a result, I couldn’t take the promising premise seriously. (In addition, the book needs some serious editing to correct numerous typos, some randomly repeated words and phrases, and a lot of odd syntax. An easily forgiven example of a typo: “Augustus was writing in pain …”)
Readers will enjoy the book if they can overlook these shortcomings. My apologies to the author that I wasn’t able to do that.

The narration was also rather juvenile, coming across as a YA fairy tale with the exception of several spicy but breathless and repetitive scenes between the protagonists. As a result, I couldn’t take the promising premise seriously. (In addition, the book needs some serious editing to correct numerous typos, some randomly repeated words and phrases, and a lot of odd syntax. An easily forgiven example of a typo: “Augustus was writing in pain …”)
Readers will enjoy the book if they can overlook these shortcomings. My apologies to the author that I wasn’t able to do that.
