Griffin: Letters from Lucy (Special Forces: Operation Alpha)

He must be ready to leave at moment’s notice, never knowing if he’ll return home alive. Griffin doesn’t know what made him dig his hands into a basket of letters sent to Any American Soldier. After a particularly bad mission, he was looking for something a little more innocent to restore his faith in humanity. He certainly never expected to fall in love with the young woman on the other end of the pen, but Lucy’s enthusiasm and zest for life draws him in and gives him hope he doesn’t think he deserves. When an enemy from Griffin’s past has Lucy in his crosshairs, he must come out of the darkness to save the only light in his life. He’s already fallen in love with the person she is but is afraid to commit out of fear that his job will always keep her in danger. Can he save Lucy from the deranged sex trafficker hell-bent on getting revenge on Griffin, or will she become just another statistic?

Good book

This was a first from this author for me, and man it did not disappoint!
Such a great book. I could not stop reading it.
Lucy sends a letter to "Any Soldier" as she is lonely and longing for a connection.
Griffin is a Navy Seal part of Eagle Team who picks up her letter and replies. Thus starts their relationship.
They have never met in person, though Griffin has been keeping an eye on Lucy without her knowing.
Griffin refuses to meet as he is part of a dark ops Seal team and doesn't want to put Lucy in danger.
However when danger comes after Lucy, he will stop at nothing to keep her safe and claim her.
Such a great book. I loved it and can't wait for more of Eagle Team!

I loved this story. I loved Griffin and Lucy together. Griffin was so against a relationship with Lucy, but the mighty do fall and boy did Griffin fall! Griffin was so protective of Lucy and you could feel the love he had for her pouring off the pages. Lucy was such a strong character but at the same time innocent and vulnerable.
I loved the premise of this story. I loved reading the letters with each chapter. What an original and beautiful way to tell a story. I cannot wait to read Phoenix and Tia's story!

Sucks you right in
This story was recommended on a group around the Susan Stoker world.... and boy. What a recommendation it was. Really enjoyed A.M writing, really draws you in with the letters and the build up to Griffin and Lucy finally meeting after years of falling in love through their writing. It had action, intrigue, love, heat, bad guys and a team of hot, alpha guys ready to take on the world. Really enjoyed it and am very intrigued about what comes next.

WOW
Oh my I loved this book ! Griffin was holy he77 hot and this story had me laughing and crying all while turning the pages as fast as I could read. Of course it has Phantom and Kaylee in it and they are two of my favorite people from their series. I hope there are more books in this series as I fell in love with these guys.

Good read
Griffin picked up a letter from Lucy, out of a basket of mail sent to soldiers. After writing to each other for a couple of years, Lucy finds herself in danger, and tries to contact Griffin. When she does he comes to her and without even an introduction, she knows who he is.
I really enjoyed the book.

A tough guy softened by a woman’s words
There really are soldiers that go into unprotected territory like these men to do protect our country. It’s only fair that they find love too. Loved the story, wish I had been longer.

Romantic and exhilarating

I really liked the main characters Lucy and Griffin. The letter writing was a nice segue to their love story. Plot was good and HEA guaranteed.

The only reason I didn't give this a 5 star read was with the letters in between each chapter. It was a bit distracting for me, but I liked the story line. HEA.
