Township 147

Rate this book
It’s 30 years since the pandemic of SHemVi-35, and a near-ruined England is divided. Those immune to the virus, like Rosa and her elderly father, live in relative freedom in the countryside, whilst the susceptible live within the walled, protective townships that have slowly usurped the surrounding towns and villages.
A small group of hidden immune, living amongst the wildlife of the decaying cities, and resentful of the rules of the majority townships, now conspire to let the virus finish what it started, and Rosa and her family - including her non-immune son – now find themselves fighting to survive an uncertain future.
Township 147 is a dramatic thriller about anger, resentment, fear and hope, set in a future not completely removed from the one that we, ourselves, may already be stumbling towards.
