I bought this book for my husband and have ended up co-opting it. I'm not into running, but I am working on rehabbing my knee after surgery, and the beginner training program in this book is perfect for my therapy. The best part of this book is the training programs - a beginner program to get you up to a fitness level suitable for starting the other programs, which include a weight loss program and endurance programs for different goals (5K, 10K, half maraton, full marathon). A really great book for anyone who wants to incorporate running into their life for a variety of reasons (fitness, weight loss, recreation, rehab, etc.)
