Cold series is absolutely one of the best novels that I’ve read so far (No one has been smiling like an idiot the whole time & almost cried tears of joy while reading this at all xD) & I put it along with the best Yaoi series that I’ve read like Sekaiichi Hatsukoi , Ai no Kusabi , Junjou Romantica & Finder <3

Anyways , to not spoil it for you I’ll just say that it’s unique & it has all the elements of a good book which are : mystery , drama , angst , beautiful analysis , some freaking cute & adorable scenes , a few super funny scenes , a realistic & beautiful couple & a sweet but very sad romance :3

& as for the characters I liked the protagonist Tohru (Who can’t love fictional tsundere guys ?) & I even liked Fujishima (I mean who can’t love an old man who likes cakes & sweet stuff & smiles like an adorable kid while eating them xD).

& the last volumes is just shocking & way too different from the previous 2 volumes but its ending was so freaking cute & sweet :”)

[& yeah if you’re single as heck like me you’ll feel cold while reading it even if you’re sitting near a heater xD ]

But the side-stories weren’t good at all & I only read them because the one in the last volume had to do with main story & because of them the books didn’t get 5 stars from me :(

Well , I totally recommend it to anyone even if he\she doesn’t like Yaoi because I think they’ll change their minds after reading it :D

Cold Sleep was so delicately seeded with speculation as to Tohru's past;

At the end of Cold Light, I felt so light-hearted and happy. Sure, I knew there would be a bumpy road ahead, what if Tohru's memories slowly started creeping in? But he'd said and so like a foolish, gullible girl, I assumed that's how it would happen.

Cold Fever was the most beautifully miserable thing I've ever experienced in literature, I won't even risk a spoiler. The sympathy you've built up over the previous stories for both characters is put to the ultimate test as a reader; you've got to empathize with them both. Your heart will try to make you choose a side, so make sure you've got a box of tissues and PLEASE don't try to read this in public or at work; bawling like heartbroken child is embarrassing.

Happy ending is happy.

The first two were such a dear. Tohru was so sweet and he really thinks about Fujishima but this last book, I must say that Tohru scares me and makes me cringe at times. The scenes where he punches and kicks Fujishima was so violently portrayed that I pity the latter. When he started longing for Fujishima I want to throw the book because what the hell? Did he miss his punching bag?

Anyway, it was good, the way it was written was okay but I really wish Tohru never gained his memory back.

This book has become my all time fav yaoi novel (and I bought it right after it was available in English, day of I think). Honestly, I feed off angst and this book brings it to the table. I truly love Konohara's work and I wish more of her stuff was available in English, I would buy them all.

I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would have. Man! Narise Konohara just writes so exceptionally well, like I will LITERALLY read anything she writes...

Tohru & Fujishima are not a perfect couple they both have their trauma, flaws and faults. They both have their own pain. They're a extremely difficult couple that definitely shouldn't work but does. Theirs is a complicated, strange, weird & abusive/mean yet romantic and fluffy relationship. One would need to turn the world upside down to figure them out. Their relationship works for them & I love that for them. I love the question Narise asks with this novel, can someone who is mean and angry be loved? Can someone who did something horrible in their past be loved? What does that love look like? I like that their love is not cutesy, happy-go-lucky, puppies & rainbows. It is difficult and mean and dark.

I read this in 2014 but the author's postscript left a lasting impression on me.

After all their efforts to obtain happiness from the first 2 volumes, the last volume feels like a big punch in the face. It’s not something I would recommend to others because it’s such a bitter pill to swallow, but I have to admit it left an impact on me.

Lots of domestic violence going on in this one. Lots of childhood trauma.

But a happy end, I guess. Either that or Stockholm syndrome.

I usually love Narise Konohara's story, but this 3rd book of Cold series was a bit of a disappointment. Just like the book said, the real Tohru Takahisa did more damage than good, while the amnesia Tohru was such a sweetheart. I just didn't like how the amnesia Tohru was completely gone and replaced with the real Tohru. I was hoping that there's still some flashbacks telling a little about amnesia Tohru instead of getting it from people in the surroundings telling the real Tohru about the amnesia one.

And somewhat, Fujishima's feelings couldn't reach the reader's since - again - I'm expecting he would be sad the amnesia Tohru was gone but he still embracing the real Tohru no matter what he did to him. I was imagining how sad Fujishima would be when he lost his loved one overnight, but sadly there's no detail description about it.

The story is still good, but the situation and the characters development aren't, and it's too one sided from Tohru's PoV. It lack of feelings, I said. IDK, I read some other stories with wide descriptions of the character's feelings and was hoping I would find that in this book and disappointed because I didn't find it...
