Very fun and fast-paced read through journal entries of young girl who goes with her father to the country to assist in renovating an old Victorian home. I love the paranormal elements and it was enough to keep me creeped out and wanting more. I didn’t expect the book to end the way it did and that made it much better!

The Secrets That We Keep completely drew me in from the first journal entry. Harper’s move to Newman's Manor starts as frustratingly mundane but quickly spirals into a creeping, relentless tension that had my heart racing. The journal format works brilliantly, making every bump in the night and shadow feel immediate and terrifying. I loved how the psychological suspense mingles with the paranormal just enough ambiguity to keep me guessing, but with enough scares to make me double-check the corners of my room. This is a thriller that will haunt you in the best way.
