These three books have been very good reminders for me of the activity of our God in our world. I had read "Joshua" years ago when it first came out. The other two were new to me. Each work in its own way can give hope in a world that seems hopeless at times. Very glad I read these books.
Started reading it and it just made me uncomfortable that someone would take it on himself to write from the viewpoint of Jesus. Some of it was very gentle, but some of it just didn't have that ring of truth that I expected should be throughout the book if one is writing about Jesus. Also, I understand that this was a parable for today, however when Jesus comes again, from what I understand of the Bible, He'll not be coming the same way, he'll be coming as a King and not a gentle Shepard. Just my thoughts.
