Picking up from the last book, Ardunel Castle is now in the hands of the Fowler brothers and their gang of fellow convicts holding Sarah and others captive while more are in hiding. Kurt, Holbeck and more of the group attempt a rescue ending up having to battle a horde of zombies that somehow got inside. Meanwhile, Winston and Peter head to Mrs. Hampton's camp to stop Braiden from causing trouble between the two groups. There is so much action, death and fighting for survival in this character driven, emotionally charged tale. I could say so much more but don't want to spoil this book that will have you on the edge of your seat and holding your breath throughout the entire read.
