Can he save her from her future?

Shane Harding only became an enforcer for the paycheck. With a sister and elderly parents to support back in Alabama, making money was all that mattered. However, he quickly learns his new pack has dark secrets to hide. Orders are orders, but now the blood of an innocent man is on his hands, and there’s nothing he can do to change that. He knows he’ll never be able to forgive himself, but worse, he knows she won’t either.

Isabella Simmons has lived in captivity her entire life. Her bars may be made of gold, but they were just as good at keeping her trapped. She used to rebel against her parents, but when she lost her twin, she also lost her will to fight. Every moment spent in her lonely tower chipped away at the person she’d been until there was almost nothing left. Meeting Shane was like finding the light at the end of a long, lonely tunnel, but a happily ever after is out of the question.

When Shane is given another cruel command from the alphas, he’s finally had enough. He was getting the hell out of Atlanta and taking Bella with him. Can he save her from the fate her parents arranged, or will he lose her for good?

This book contains sexual themes and violence that is intended for audiences 18 and older.

All I can say is, everyone should have a Shane in their lives. Not only for what he did for Bella, but for the twins, Mariah and Austin. He is selfless from the get go. He leaves his own family to go work for the horrible Atlanta pack, just so he can provide for his mom and dad and his twin who takes care of them.

Then you just fall in love with him more as a reader as you realize the lengths he goes to just to save his fated mate from the horrors of Cheryl Simmons the EVIL of all EVIL mothers. Heather MacKinnon does an amazing job capturing the true evil essence behind Bella's abusive mother, and equally creepy father, Jason.

But it can't go without saying how amazing it is to watch Bella transform from an abused child into a strong determined woman. The fight in the end is epic.

This is a page turner that you just can't put down. I think this is my favorite of the series, but I can't wait for the next one just the same!!

I love the Southern Werewolf Enforcers books; each one is connected to the other, some with repeating characters, but all interconnected. Shane’s Book comes from his POV off of Book three Austin. Shane must fight for what he knows is right within his heart and fight for the one who is his true fated mate, even if she is soon to be shipped off to someplace she doesn't want to go. Isabell is a Flightless bird in a gilded cage with no freedom to spread her wings and fly free. But she is soon overcome with the thought of freedom and will do what she must to take back her life before it can be extinguished.

Heather MacKinnon has outdone herself with Shane’s book, it had me on the edge of my seat rooting for Shane and Isabell. Praying that they can get free of the torment and distrust of their pack. I cant wait for the next book in this series.

Wow!

Shane is given the duty to protect the Alpha's daughter, Bella. When he meets her, he is completely drawn to her. He quickly realizes that she is his fated mate. He finds out what her mother has done. He finds out that she is promised to someone else, he does all he can to spend as much time with her. That was until her mother finds out about him and learns the what happens to fated mates. Shane will do everything he can to save Bella even if it will cause a war.

This was such a great book. Shane will doing to do anything to get the woman he is fated to out of that terrible situation. Bella being a prisoner to her own mother and pawn in her game. Bella has been beat down by her situation, but you see she never lost the woman she was. I highly recommend reading this book, you will not put it down.

Shane & Bella: trigger- domestic abuse, kidnapping. So, I feel like this book could've been written jointly with "Austin" since their story not only crosses paths but we don't get a conclusion to one without the other. like maybe with a joint title "Austin & Shane" that starts with Shane and Bella then jumps to Austin and Mariah then brings them all together. other than that, I thought this was good. Bella is Mariah's SIL who was kept captive by her own family, and we learned in Austin's book that Bella's parents were also trying to steal Mariah's babies. see what I mean. both couple's stories are so intertwined. now Shane is an enforcer charged with protecting Bella but upon first meeting her, realizes she's his true mate. only problem, her mom is about to marry her off. oh the drama... and the plot twists. this was probably one of the best in the series. so good, so steamy!

This series is what I would call "shifter light": all the characters are wolf shifters but the reference and impact of that fact on the stories are minimal, other than the "fated mates" element. Nonetheless, the books are well written, well-paced, steamy enough and overall very enjoyable.

Although the entire series- is described as a standalone, it is very much part of an over-arching world and therefore there are a few missing bits of information and explications. It doesn't stop you from following and enjoying the book but if you're not a fan of open-ended references and loose facts, you probably want to start back with the "original" interconnected series (Southern Werewolves).

Shane's story starts in the past before joining back into the "present" of Austin's book. This book is another favorite in this series, partly because it covers some of the "holes" from the previous book (Austin's) and partly because Shane and Bella are so sweet together.

This is one of the stories we have been anticipating…Shane and Bella, the princess from the Georgia pack whom we met in Austin’s book! We will discover how they met, fell in love, and what happened on their side to set them free. What comes after will be a shocker to all! But if you think it is done just yet, it is truly just getting started and I truly have no idea where this will eventually lead~ I have so many thoughts and questions in my head right now…Heather MacKinnon…get writing! These books and characters keep leaping out of the pages at me! Love me a Heather MacKinnon book!

This story was amazing and life like! If your heart doesn't beat for these two by then end of this story, then you need to adjust your heart. They are so heartfelt and loving. The situation they are put in will make you root for them and want what is best for them. They go through so much and still find happiness in all they do! I truly felt like I was watching a movie or in the life with them as I read this story. The writing is that detailed and fluid! Can't wait to see what happens next for these two! Love this series!

This was a good fated mates paranormal romance. They are not aware of their fated connection, so it mostly plays out like a paranormal romance with spice and some danger. A good read.
