great intro to Nordic runes, but sometimes there were unexplained graphics to fill space and I would have appreciated some additional context as to their relevance, such as Galdrastafir Stave Runes that remained unnamed and did not have their significance clarified with their relation to the futhark

Bought this at the airport when i was visiting iceland like two years ago. i was a big norse mythology nerd and at the moment i didn’t have much time to carefully choose among all those rune related book at the airport. didn’t know this book focuses more of the divination/rune casting aspect. i was hoping to see more about the history/origin part. but generally this was a fun read. not academic style at all more like a simple introduction into the rune casting process and meanings. i’m not into that part but i’m certainly missing my norse mythology learning days and will be getting back into it asap. (saw someone mention the excessive use of unexplained graphics in this book before reading and yeah that’s so real and some of the graphics are even used repeatedly so like yeah)
