The Sóller Solution
Back for the third time in the 3R series, the team have to deal with three seemingly unconnected coincidences as they answer a call for help from Sam's old boss.
When Sam Martínez gets a call from Tony Theakston, he's at the hospital waiting on news about Terri, his half-sister. So the timing isn't great, but when Tony says it's urgent, Sam listens and eventually he and Greg agree to help try to prevent the theft of a €10 million painting.
What starts as a favour to his old boss, to try to stop an art thief holding an international art gallery to ransom, soon turns into a far more complex affair, involving a multi-millionaire security systems designer, one of Sam's old adversaries and a Spanish organised crime gang, where the stakes become increasingly more dangerous for everyone concerned.

My intended audience are people, who like me, enjoy a little bit of escapism in a story with a mix of excitement, good overcoming bad and some interesting locations.
I have a great love of Mallorca and want to help promote the island for new new and current visitors to explore and experience some of the sights, bars and restaurants that I have found in my travels there.
The storyline won’t always just be based in Mallorca, so there’s opportunities to ‘travel’ to other countries too whilst enjoying my book/s (Book 2 is underway)
I live in the UK with my wife and our black labrador and I am a doting grandfather, as well as a happy golfer, when I’m not writing.

The Soller Solution by Pete Davies is book 3 in the 3R International Series. It is set on the island of Mallorca. I have loved the 2 other books in the series and this is a worthy addition to the series. The 3R team are ready to go round the world at a moment’s notice when asked by companies for help that can’t be provided by local police forces. An art gallery and an insurance company are the clients this time trying to prevent a thief stealing a very valuable painting. It is great to read more about the characters involved in 3R and read what they are up to this time. They certainly get the pulse racing as they work against the clock to succeed in what they have set out to do.

This is the 3rd in the series of books featuring the crime fighting team 3R. Having thoroughly enjoyed the first two I couldn`t wait to start on the latest one and I was not disappointed. This is another fast moving blockbuster of a book with an intriguing and exciting plot involving art theft and the seedy world of drug smuggling with two really great interwoven plots. The action is thrilling and totally absorbing and for those of you who have had the pleasure of reading the first two books in the series it was great to catch up with the 3R Team. Also as an aficionado of Mallorca I felt really immersed in the plot including catching up with the real live Aina from Bar Coral Puerto Pollensa. However you do not need to have knowledge of any of the locations to enjoy the plot of this great book. Another triumphant page turner and I cannot wait for Book 4..

Brilliantly clever!
Having been left on tenterhooks at the end of book 2 I was desperate to know what happened next. This third instalment in the 3R series once again takes the reader to the wonderful backdrop of Mallorca and weaves a tale which includes some seriously gripping, can’t put down the book moments. Back with the well known and loved characters from the two previous books, along with some new additions we learn more about organised crime, art theft and security technology all the while being hauled through the entire spectrum of emotions as you hope for a happy outcome. Once again I’m left waiting to find out what happens next. Bring on book 4.

Another great episode
I'm so pleased that this third book has built on the development of the previous two without getting overly complex or unbelievable, as stories like this often do. The storyline has enough twists and turns to keep you from being able to second guess the plot too far and the characters are allowed to develop naturally without being hurried. Finally, as with the previous two books, the background detail covering methodology, tactics and (most) equipment is accurate enough to maintain a very credible story. I'm very much looking forward to the fourth in the series.

I’ve been meaning to do a review on the two previous books in the series but haven’t so far. I have just finished reading this one and was thrilled by the pace and the action. It’s just the kind of escapism I enjoy. From my own experience I found the detail was realistic and the characters genuine Even some of the villains were likeable. The plot had twists and turns that I was not able to predict, and the ending was brilliant. I hope it’s not long before the fourth in the series is published.

Book 3 in the series and each one is as good as the last! Although the reader is taken to various parts of the world, the key focus is on Mallorca as the team from 3R are requested to help Sam's old boss regarding stolen art work and blackmail. However these books are never quite so straightforward and so also involve drug smuggling, kidnap, attempted murder and murder. This is again an all action story and I would personally love to see them made into a film or a series. Looking forward already to the next one.
