"If I had known a kid's party would land me here, I would have stayed home with Seamus" What happens when whispers become the truth? What happens when a community of people starts to disappear and you make a deal with the devil? Somewhere between a kid's birthday party to risking my life and others, disorder and fright roams free. I have dealt with demons before and had to suppress the wild and strong willed woman I was. Until he showed me the way to break down the walls to save those I love and avenge this community. But the question is, how far am I willing to go with trusting my heart once again? Or better yet, will I fall victim to these whispers and be lost forever? Too many lives are at stake for this game of cat and mouse and someone has to pay for the hurt and pain they have caused. I no longer will be a pawn in someone's game, and I will do whatever it takes. Someone fucked with the wrong Irish-blooded woman. In this new adult series following a local motorcycle club and the women working with a local foundation, we meet Teresa Bjorn, a social worker who has climbed the ropes to help her homeless foundation become a beacon of hope. Now she must swallow her pride and break down the walls to become the hero of her own story, even if it requires the help of the local motorcycle club.
I was lucky to be an Alpha/Beta/ARC reader for the draft of this debut novel. So this review is before edits and a final draft is made. So my review is based on a 3-4 star experience reading the draft.
Wild Cub introduces the reader to a big hearted FMC that wants to give back to her community and make a change. I love the way she opens her heart to those around her but still keeps a strong head on her shoulders.
I'm here to convince you to pick up this suspenseful romantic biker gang-esque novel that will take the reader on a ride through love, self discovery, standing your ground, and fighting for love.
Updated: With final edits done, the author amplified the characters and the plot. I loved the baseline of the story but found there to be too many characters to keep the story straight. Still an enjoyable read! 3-4 stars on the final product.
I was thankful enough to be given an early copy of this book. Wild Cub is a book filled with sexy men and a woman with the desire to help others. She's got a big heart which made me love her character. This is a romantic suspense novel with an element of mystery weaved into it. When people start going missing, our main character is thrown into the throws of this mystery. I'm excited to see the final version of this book and how the author develops the story further.
I was lucky enough to alpha read for Jamie Fritz so I know this story can only go up. Her debut novel, Wild Cub follows a beloved social worker on her road to self discovery, opening herself up to love again, and her trying to figure out what is going on within her community. It is action packed, heart felt, and will have you wanting for more. The mystery component is just the cherry on top.
You won’t be able to put this book down! One feisty FMC that’s a total baddie and can hold her own. A deliciously dark MMC that’s a VP of Grim Wolves MC. A found family in the form of a MC. This book will have you in a chokehold. The spice is HOT. And the story is captivating! I cannot wait to read the rest of this series!
“But he leans back down and tenderly kisses my cheek. ‘Don’t play me as a villain in your story, beautiful,’ he said as he eases up on my backside.”
I had the pleasure of beta-reading Jamie Fritz's debut novel.
This upcoming New Adult series will follow the lives of women at a local foundation and a motorcycle club. We meet Teresa Bjorn in book one, a social worker who battles her own demons to become a beacon of hope for her community. The only way she can become the hero of her own story is to swallow her pride and ask for help from the motorcycle club.
The novel and characters gave me "The CW" vibes, but make it spicy. There's nothing like sarcastic, smart-mouth FMC (think Veronica Mars) and vikings like gods (think Alexander Ludwig) to really get your blood pumping. It's the perfect story if you enjoy both.
I'll be purchasing the novel when it's released on October 11, 2022, via Amazon to read the final product. Looking forward to the future of this series.
"Jackson, if you break me, I'll kill you." "Darlin', I'll hand you the knife."
If you're looking for a book with hilarious banter between FMC & MMC, spice, mystery, and an amazing found family, look no further.
Tessa is one of my favorite FMC's I've read. She's witty, strong, hilarious, and is a bit of a brat. She's not afraid to tell the MMC (and anyone else) where they can shove it. Which I LOVED about her. Now, the SPICE. OMG. JAMIE FRITZ!!!! "Hang onto the headboard and don't let go." I DIED and went to smut heaven.
I can't wait to see where this series goes. Absolutely loved it and all the characters. I'm so proud of you, Jamie! I can't wait to see what else you have in store for us!!
If it's not obvious by now, you should definitely run to go read this book. Like, now!
I tried so hard to finish this, but it just wasn’t possible. The grammatical errors, wrong names that were confusing trying to decipher what was going on. For instance, saying she ran into Jackson but was referring to Jeremiah. Names kept changing, no real indication that it was switching to a different day or time frame. She’s drinking at work? I really tried to get through it because the concept could be cool. But this really needs some editing help.
This is Jamie Fritz's debut novel, and I have to say it's absolutely amazing! It sucked me in from the very beginning, and I couldn't stop reading it. I read this book in less than a day, and I wanted more! I highly suggest reading this and will be recommending it!!
I read this as a Beta and I love this book just as much as I did the first time I read it. This is Jamie’s debut and I think she knocked it out of the park. I can’t wait for more from her, she’s quickly becoming a favorite of mine.
Tessa is a social worker and a project manager for a Foundation and she is working on building a center to provide more help for the community. She is very passionate about your job and I admire her for that passion.
Jackson is the VP of the Grim Wolves and he is oh so hot🥵. From the moment he saw Tessa he was infatuated. I love their chemistry and banter. Tessa does not take Jackson’s crap and in my opinion knows how to put him in his place.
On top of having such great main characters, Jamie also introduces us to some really great side characters. My personal favorites are Tessa’s girls, her cousin Brittany and her co-workers Reva and Sam. These girls are hilarious.
This book also has a great plot. Definitely a must read.
When so goes to a friend's kids birthday party her life changes. As this social worker fights for her friend's and community with the power of a wolf. Enjoyed this first book and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series 😀.
It's hard to believe this is a debut novel. Once I started reading I couldn't put this books down. Not only does it contain a big hearted FMC, intent on helping the homeless and domestic àbú$è community in her town, but you also get a very hot VP who loves pr¡mal play and is instantly infatuated and obsessed with the FMC.
Tessa Bjorn is a social worker for the Lighthouse Foundation. A strong yet snarky and sassy woman, who finds herself in a dangerous game with an unknown player. When some of the homeless population begins to disappear, feeling under pressure by her friends and her own conscience, Tessa takes it upon herself to find out who it is and standing her ground even when others tried to push her down. Enlisting the help from the Grim Wolves MC, Tessa begins a journey of self-discovery, loyalty, strength and love.
Alexander Jackson, the Grim Wolves VP, is a man intent on making Tessa his. He is always there to remind her that she isn't alone and to not close herself off from the world, especially from him. Though at times I do wish he would have stood up for her more, he really showed his love and loyalty from the start in his own way.
Prepare to laugh a lot, the banter between these two and Tessa's girlfriends was on an entire different level. The chemistry between these two was undeniably and oh so hot. Tessa's attittude of not taking any of Jackson's or his MC's cr4p was a highlight for me. I'm excited to see in what direction Fritz decides to take this series. And who from Tessa's friends or the Grim Wolves, will be next!
Don’t poke the bear, unless you’re a wolf named Jackson.♥️
Jamie Fritz is an author after my heart. There’s nothing I love more than a steamy, suspenseful biker romance with large doses of comedy sprinkled throughout. Wild Cub delivers all that and more, having you hang on for one wild ride.
Teresa Bjorn—or Tessa—is a social worker helping the homeless and abused women in her community. She’s a sassy spitfire, who punches first and asks questions second. A child’s birthday party at a biker’s club has her gaining the full attention of the VP—Alexander Jackson—the spitting image of Leif Erickson in all his Viking glory but as a modern day domineering biker. A previous bad relationship has Tessa trying to resist his charm, but Jackson loves a good chase—literally—and Tessa is finding it harder to deny what she wants.
When some of the homeless in her community go missing, she requests the help of Jackson and his MC to look into what’s happening. The trade off—she has to give him a chance at winning her heart. This book will take you from one suspenseful turn to the next as this couple uncovers dangerous scenarios revolving around Tessa’s job and Jackson’s club. The steamy scenes have you rooting for more. The comedy and Tessa’s bratty attitude have you roaring with laughter. (“Sasquatch to princess in under 30” was one of my favorite lines). The angst will rip your heart out (I’m still healing from that betrayal). And the HEA will have you falling in love with this book couple.
Where do I begin with this book? This is a book that immediately draws you in to the storyline and each of the characters. I loved the representation of a social worker being the FMC. As a social worker myself I could often relate to her and her passion for working with a vulnerable community. Tessa was a strong character who would do anything for her community to ensure those within it were taken care of. She does go through many different obstacles emotionally and physically throughout the book. Alexander Jackson was a wonderful MMC. He was so possessive over Tessa and ensured that no harm was done to her, even though she could definitely be stubborn at times. I loved seeing the growth between the two characters and the Grim Wolves Motorcycle Club. This book did take me on a rollercoaster of emotions of happiness and frustration. I loved the ending of the book and would love to see where Tessa and Alexander go from here. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series to get to learn about more characters in the Grim Wolves Motorcycle Club.
I enjoyed reading the Wild Cub and found it to be a good mixture of romance, suspense and mystery. Tessa is trying to find herself/ get her fire back and I really enjoyed seeing her develop throughout the book. Her comebacks and nicknames for some of the bikers were great, especially her banter with Alexander or Leif Erickson. Tessa's love for her community find her in the middle of the mystery with the possessive, protective, Viking God Alexander by her side. This is Jamie's debut novel and from reading and learning a bit about her you can tell she put her soul into this book and it definitely shows!
✨ Wild Club by Jamie Fritz is an absolute thrill ride! I couldn’t put it down. Teresa Bjorn is fierce, relatable, and so easy to root for as she battles danger, trust issues, and her own inner strength. The mix of mystery, romance, and high-stakes drama had me hooked from start to finish. And let’s not forget the motorcycle club—they add so much grit and swagger! This book has everything: heart, action, and characters that leap off the page. I’m obsessed and can’t wait for the next one! 🔥👏
I LOVED this story. Teresa and Alexander were 🥵🥵🥵. The spice was perfect. I fell so hard for Alexander. He is the perfect blend of sweet and dominant.
I will say there are several errors and sentences that probably need to be reworked. I noticed that it bounced between present tense and past tense in the same sentence quite a bit. So if you are the grammar police here is your warning.
This is Jamie Fritz's debut novel, and I have to say it's absolutely amazing! It sucked me in from the very beginning, and I couldn't stop reading it. I read this book in less than a day, and I wanted more! I highly suggest reading this and will be recommending it!!
Teresa and Alexander, you better be ready to burn for this book. The yearning and banter is absolutely amazing. Be ready to immerse yourself in their world. Absolute perfection!
New author. New book series and let me tell you it was epic. No damsel in distress. Nope not here. We got a sassy, can’t keep quiet if her life depends on it. Tess don’t need a hero to save her. She just needs a hero to hold her heart. She never thought going to a kid birthday party at a motorcycle club will bring her love and danger all out in one. Jackson member of the Grim Wolves MC Is so captivate for Tess. His not use to girls telling No. the more he pushes her the harder she pushes back. She makes him change his ways. Can’t wait to see what book comes next.
