Cubby

Rate this book
In the late Spring of 2015, I met a very skinny kitty. I named him Cubby. He didn't remain skinny for long. Over a short period of time my little Cubby became somewhat chubby, and he became a huge part of my life. We became friends, bonded and became the best of pals. He was just about always by my side. Like Garfield, he was ornery but always the dearest of hearts. He required a lot of care though. You see, I found out Cubby was diabetic and needed a lot of around the clock supervision. Even for a kitty. You better believe he got it.

Throughout these last seven years Cubby has had many medical issues. There have been many pickups and runs over to the vet's office. In between those heart gripping trips there was a lot of play, lots of purrs and lots of love. A lifetime's worth of fun. A lot of friendship packed into so short a space of time. I want to keep these memories with me forever. As we get older that's kind of difficult to do. Thus, this little book. Made for me, some friends but mostly for me, it's something to help me remember my little pal. Sadly, Cubby passed away on April 30th, 2022. This book as it were, being assembled in early May 2022 is my therapy. A keep-sake. A look back over the life of the best friend I've ever had. Should anyone else like to look at this book and meet a special little kitty, then Cubby will be alive in their memory too, and that's all I can really ask.

Cubby

This is a cute book and fast to read since it’s mostly pictures. I just enjoyed going through it and it was fast to read.
I know that sometimes when we lose a much loved pet, they come back to us vary quickly to let us know they’re still with us. It happened to me 2 1/2 years ago. I’d just lost Stoney and was on my way home from the vet. It was storming, yet as I came around a bend in the road, there was a beautiful male Cardinal sitting in my lane of the road. I I that was Stoney letting me know she was fine in heaven.

Touched my heart!

Mr. Sims tells a beautiful story of love & loss through pictures & poignant verse. Cubby was such a beautiful boy & much more than a pet, truly a best friend! Having said goodbye to my bestie at the of January, 2022, the story really touched my heart. My MollyAnn was Cubby’s twin & my soulmate. Though I teared up, I found comfort in these pages!
