This Christmas had a surprise gift in store for me I definitely didn’t expect. And it will take 9 months for it to arrive.
As a young musician just starting out, I’ve always had a crush for Sage Harris. Posterboy rockstar. Gorgeous bad boy. And way out of my league. When he asked me for a duet for a X-Mas song, I couldn’t believe it. What I could believe even less was how our song went viral and we crushed the charts.
Seems like we’re not only good at making music. Because before we recorded our song, things got intense. Talk about jingling his bells under the X-Mas tree.
Usually Sage has millions of fans screaming his name. But that night, I made him scream mine. Again and again. One night is all it should have been. I’m well aware of his rockstar lifestyle – no way he will ever change that, right?
Falling for him wasn’t part of the plan. Nor was the life-changing surprise I’m carrying and that’s about to change everything… How do I even begin to handle this?
"Beautiful Mistake" is a full length standalone romance with no cheating and no cliffhangers, but with a gorgeous protective alpha male, plenty of steam and a guaranteed HEA. I've also included a preview of my romance novel "The Baby Deal" for you. Happy reading! - Sarah J. Brooks (USA Today Bestselling Author)
This was a good read. Sage is an upcoming musician and so is Melody. They begin dating and things get heavy fast. The problem is that Sage isn't the type of guy to do series. That is until Melody but he handled something bad and things got ugly. Thankfully in the end they get it all worked out and they get their happy ending.
A great story about Sage Harris & Melody Chambers. They're both musicians. They make beautiful music together. Melody has had a crush on Sage since they met. They decide to spend the night together and want to continue seeing each other. Can they make a relationship work ? I enjoyed reading this book. I read this book through an arc program and this is my own personal opinion. 💖🐧💋
Sage and Melody make this rock! He is a bad boy rocker who connected with Melody and just took off. The story draws you in and have you in their corner as they take that step to making beautiful music together, but will it be as magical in a relationship? It is an awe-inspiring story well worth the read. I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
There Is No Competition To Getting Your Forever More 🔥♥💥♥🔥
Just when you think you've read her best, Sarah J. Brooks will put together an off the charts story that takes you to heaven after going through Hell!!! Sage and Melody are no strangers but they really don't know each other well except for the two years of being connected by family and friends. You could say that the two years have been kind of a foreplay of flirting and dreams but this Christmas those dreams and fantasies become a 3D motion picture. Sage and Melody make astronomical music together and not just on paper... but what happens when their music goes viral?? They each have walls to protect their hearts for different reasons and when those walls start to fall and their reactions differ will their music fall apart at the crescendo??? Sage is scared of his feelings for Melody especially after growing up with lack of emotions and plastic smiles and reverts to his old ways of escape. Melody has to decide which side is the real Sage, the one she loves or the one she wants no part of. Competing in a battle of the bands make them face each other and their true destiny. Will Melody and Sage make their way from "Ever After" through "Never More" to "Quietly" living their dream?? I highly recommend this rocking story. The characters are strong people wading through the unknown to find where they fit in the puzzle of life. I can't wait to see how Sarah J. Brooks gives life to Charlynn or Shelton's stories...or will it be just one story??? I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and purchased a copy for my favorites collection.
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Sage and Melody. We met Sage in the book Unexpected Surprise, which featured his brother Sinclair. It is now Christmas and Sage is at his brother's celebrating with family and friends when he sees Melody, a friend of his sister-in-law. Sage has always been attracted to Melody and when they sing a Christmas duet, the sparks fly between them. Melody has always liked Sage, but she knows he is a playboy and she wants to settle down, but she also wants to give into her feelings. They spend the night together and it is amazing, they both admit they want to continue to see each other. They become very close quickly and Melody writes a song for Sage, that he records called Ever After. Sage then celebrates his success with the recording, but Melody doesn't like how out of control Sage is and tries to distance herself from him. Melody is heartbroken and writes another sang called Never More and has her own success. Sage realizes how badly he messed up and wants to fix things, but Melody doesn't know if she can really trust him. I loved this book. It was so emotional and it made me want to cry at the feelings expressed. Melody was so strong and she wanted her career, but she also wanted it for Sage also. Sage didn't handle things well and he needed to grow up. Another great story from Sarah.
We have met this dysfunctional Family prior, in Sarah's book, Unexpected Surprise. At the time of that publication, I didn't think Ms. Brooks work could get any better, what a fool I am! I was so wrong, Ms. Brooks tops her own work, time and again & sets the bar high for Authors everywhere.
Sage is the youngest Brother, a very deep soul as well as a musician. However, she sees him, and this leaves him vulnerable. His muse, his beautiful counterpart... His Melody. She is amazing inside and out as well as a musician herself. Being her best friend is Sage's Sister-in-law, they do run in loosely the same circles & Melody has been enraptured with him for quite some time. After making beautiful music together, this release takes off at a fast pace and you just remain glued to the riveting ending. Delicious delivery with the storyline and the realism of the characters created by Sarah.
Should you love breathtakingly beautiful romance, served with drama as well as incredible happily ever afters... You've just found it here, in these superbly designed pages.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced readers copy of Beautiful Mistake in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion.
Congratulations Ms. Brooks, you still keep us floored with your talent and always looking forward & wanting more.
OUTSTANDING story! BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE is now one of my favorite seasonal stories because of its celestially wonderful HAPPY ENDING! It is the tale of lovers, destined to be more together than apart, and the lessons they had to learn to deserve each other. While Sage and Melody share the talent and position to make incredible music, there are a few important lessons about relationships that they learn the hard way. Author Sarah J Brooks takes her readers through the stages of Sage’s and Melody’s start, slips, and falls with her descriptive yet easy to read prose. In fact, all of the characters are well developed, worthy but realistically flawed. And the big surprise that sets everything in motion makes the frustration, wit, and life lessons worthy of a reader’s time and the cost of admission. Wonderfully entertaining, this story has all the feels that romance readers look for when determining their next romance purchase. I volunteered to read an early copy of BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE and this is my HONEST and voluntary 5+STAR review. Make BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE your next romance purchase! Happy pages! 😉
Getting involved with your best friends brother in law is playing with fire but with the chemistry between Melody and Sage its no wonder they couldn't help but give in to their hot desire for each other. Their both musicians but Melody has never succumbed to the whole drugs, rock and roll life style when things get hard or emotional she gets out her guitar, the same cant be said for sage who hides his worries and insecurities about being loved in a bottle or a party. Can he learn to let his emotions out and let Melody in or are all future family gatherings with Reyna and Sinclair gonna be hell for the pair. A good read but it took me a while to get into the book even though I've already read Reyna and Sinclairs story. With Melody and Sage being so hot for each other the first few chapters were mainly with the two of them between the sheets which is possibly why it took me till nearly half way through before I started getting into the story more.
Sage and Melody know each other through their friends. One night over the holiday the give into their attraction for one another and sleep together. They try to see is they can manage a relationship within the craziness of their careers. It goes well until a song Sage records that Melody wrote for him is a hit and he acts wildly because of the fame. When she comes to see him and doesn't like what she sees she starts pulling away. Then a picture of him with another woman confirms her fears and she stops talking to him. Sage knows that he has messed up and wants to fix things between them. Will Melody give him another chance? Can they find their way back together?
This is an amazing story that will draw you in from the first chapter on. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
I loved Sage and Melody! There were rockin it! They both share the love of music and have each been crushing on each other for a while now. Sage has quite the reputation when it comes to women and Melody, well she keeps to herself and doesn’t entertain the men in her life the way that Sage entertains in his. They have a good relationship she is friends with his brother and wife, which means hands off, but when the opportunity arises, and after a couple of drinks for a little courage, these two are on their way up to Sage’s room. He’s a god in the bedroom and her thoughts are fleeting as he takes her to heights she’s never known. How can this happen? Can they make a go of it? Their story is emotional, explosive, passionate with a little drama tossed in for good measure.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book Firstly, in my case I had to get the tissues out. So moving, emotional and super hot. If you loved book one about Sinclair Harris and Reyna, you will love this about his brother Sage Harris and Reyna’s Friend Melody. Both musicians but I think Melody is so talented, caring and beautiful inside and out. Such chemistry and they so get along but Melody wants more than the music and rock and roll lifestyle. The lyrics to some of the songs just make you tear up, beautiful, heart wrenching words and moreso Sage in such turmoil , he made me cry. . I love this author, her books are so lifelike and moving. Roll on Shelton’s story. Can’t wait.
Another great book by Sarah. This one was pretty hot and steamy. The chemistry between Sage and Melody was hot! The music that they made together was not just between the sheets. Both of them can sing, but put them together and it is amazing. These two have known each other for awhile as friends when they finally couldn’t take it anymore and they did something about it. Melody and Sage weren’t looking to be in a relationship but their feelings started to come to surface. Sage is your party, rocker, playboy and wasn’t sure if he wanted to be tied down to one woman. Melody was more relaxed and went with the flow. Did Melody tame the rocker? Grab this book and find out!
There is Sage who is the youngest brother in the Harris family. He's a "trust fund" boy though he is also a singer in an up and coming indie band. Then there is Melody who is also a singer and looking for her break in the music world. She is also his sister in law's best friend. There has always been great chemistry between them. When they decide on one night during the holidays to see how well they get along, it is a great night that has repercussions neither of them anticipated. Will they work out? or will it all fall apart. Good characters and storyline that keeps you reading.
I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.
Doesn't this family practice birth control? I thought I could read the second in the series, but not after this.... first chapter, at the Christmas party....
Spoiler alert as the quote is erotic.
Sorry, but too explicit to be a romance for me. Knowing what was up in the first one... I'll pass.
Book 2 in this Billionaire brothers series and once again the love scenes are off the charts hot. It took me about halfway through the book for H/H to click. It got a little boring and repetitive. The physical attraction was there but the chemistry was not. Sage has emotional baggage to sort through. Melody had her life together and was more mature. The hard drug use by Sage, for recreational only, not addicted, was a hard no for me. Rock star is not one of my favorite tropes. So it’s my opinion instead of the authors writing that made this book not as enjoyable for me as book 1 was. The HEA and no cheating were great bonuses though.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is a well written story that flows well and the characters engage you even if Sage had to grow on me. Sage and Melody. He is the music star that has already made it while she is the up and comer The attraction has always been there between them When they make a Christmas duet that goes viral things also heat up between them but they know it can only be for one night but now there is a consequence to that one night Will they stay together or will they go their separate ways You will have to read to see
Beautiful Mistake By Sarah J. Brooks Main Characters: Melody and Sage I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author. 4 out of 5 stars Sage is the youngest brother in the Harris family. He is a trust fund baby and also a singer, songwriter, and guitarist in the band Grind Revolution. Melody is also a singer. The two of them are friends who turn into lovers but of course, all does not go smoothly. I liked the characters and the story is very well written.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This book is about Sage Harris. He's the third brother and we already have the second brother's book. Sage and Melody are both musicians that just on the cusp of their careers. They have both been fighting the sparks growing before them because Sage's brother is married to Melody's best friend. They would likely still have to deal with each other even if it ended bad. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait till we get the first Harris brother's book!
This is a beautiful, heart wrenching love story. Full of ups and downs. Sage is a player, he lives for his music and a good time. He has fancied Melody shine he met her, but she is as family so doesn't want to spoil anything. Melody is the same, then one drunken Christmas they decide, thanks to a little festive cheer to see what happens. What follows is a rollercoaster of bliss and pain. I loved this story and is characters. I definitely recommend it. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
While I did like this book. I love the emotion, the questions, the struggles. The blurb is misleading. Sage and Melody are upcoming musicians. For Christmas Melody writes a song for Sage that helps get him out of his funk and makes his group start to fly again. Which makes Melody feel a little left out when Sage starts to party again and without her. They have to go though their own struggles before finding their way back to each other. The "little surprise" though does not happen until the end of the book. Overall it was a good book, but the blurb needs to be fixed.
This book has so many errors that it was hard to concentrate on the storyline. It has extra words put in sentences, words left out, wrong names used, and lots of inconsistencies in the story. The sentence structure and punctuation needs serious work too. I looked at reviews about half way through the book and did not see anyone mention the terrible editing.
I can not justify giving a better rating to a book with so many issues. I have highlighted a few of the mistakes to show what you should expect.
I really enjoyed this one. It explores not only the two main characters love of music but the different sides of their personalities and feelings. And can they come together the right way or not change enough to do so. They both have an attraction and match in a lot of ways. They even now have a gift coming in a few months. It is emotional, suspenseful, sweet, dramatic and so much more. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Beautiful Mistake by Sarah J. Brooks is a great read. emotional, intriguing, intense and hot. a romance story of Sage and Melody both musician and have strong connection with each other, its a roller coaster ride of emotion that will put you on edge while reading, you will laugh and cry whith this one,i cannot wait for Charlynn own HEA,well done! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book
This is a really wonderful emotional story, the storyline was well-written and well thought out. The characters are absolutely amazing. I loved them. Melody was sweet and strong, even Sage was sweet, I wanted to smack him once or twice but he finally grew up and realized what he was feeling. Definitely recommend this book, I can't wait to see what happens with Shelton and Charlynn.
Sage and Melody are friends before they become lovers. Sage has a lot of issues that he needs to work out before he can commit to Melody. The story shows the highs and lows of the struggle they endure before they can find their happy place. There is lots of steamy action as their relationship starts off on mostly being a physical one and Sage seems to only be able to express himself in that manner. Eventually he learns to open up and find that life is better.
This is a well written book with strong characters and a sweet holiday romance between Sage and Melody. The author does a great job developing their relationship and bringing passion and heat with their romance. It's a beautiful story filled with heartbreak and love, moves at a steady pace and I loved reading. Highly recommend .
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Two musicians. One on the brink of stardom and one already in the mix. When Sage and Melody sing together at a Christmas party, tongues start wagging. They decide to let their chemistry happen for only one night. Melody writes Sage a song and the rest is history. Can these two stay together through anything? What will happen when Sage gets caught up in the rock n roll lifestyle? An amazing story that was very hard to put down!!
Great book for miss Brooks ! This is the story of Sage and Melody, two young musicians, who experience a secret and mutual attraction. They'll "connect" through some highly sexual moments and music. Those 2 will live through a roller coaster of emotions, some miscommunication and a musical competition for them to finally get together. Solid characters, well built text; this book is for a young adult audience. I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review.
I received an arc for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book - I liked that Melody was a strong individual, and knew from the beginning about Sage. Sage really needed to grow up and I am glad that Melody had a huge part in that. The beautiful mistake was just that = beautiful. I recommend this book.
I thought that this book was very enjoyable. I felt that there was a lot emotional and sweetness to this story. I liked Melody a lot but Sage had to grow on me because he starts out as pretty self-centered. I did think that these two made a fun couple though and I found it very entertaining to see their relationship evolve. This is my independent, impartial review.
