My duty is to serve our kingdom, even if that means forfeiting my freedom. I always thought I’d do anything for my home. But now that my father has promised me to the prince of our rival kingdom, I'm questioning my loyalties. Ripped away from everything I know and love, I'm sent away to marry the brutish prince of Ulleh, and it's clear upon my arrival that my hate is reciprocated. I don't know how I'm going to survive, much less bring peace between our kingdoms. But one thing is I have no intention of being this monster's bride.

I love R.K. She’s such a lovely and friendly author, and I loved the last book of hers that I read, ‘A Monstrous Claim’. This one, I liked parts and I loved parts, I just felt like I was reading two different stories in one. You’ve got the whole romance tale, and then the action side of it. But saying that, I completely understand what Rori was trying to build here.
So what did I love? I loved the characters. All of them! They were incredibly built, and you can imagine how they each look, and feel their emotions and personalities coming off of the pages. I liked the world building too. I can picture this black castle in my mind fitted with everything gorgeous and royal that money can buy. I can picture this super friendly queen and frightening king. I also really loved Irissa’s journey, it was a journey of finding her true self, and going from this spoilt princess to a regal queen of another kingdom. The smut was just an extra dose of bookish quicksand!
I received an advance review copy from R.K. Pierce for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I enjoyed the slow-burn relationship between the main couple, but I felt that the book as a whole was a bit lacking in depth. While the writing had plenty of details about the setting, I felt that we didn't learn enough about the main cast involved in the story, from the minotaur king and queen to the MC Nor's siblings (other than maybe Oryx) and more. Even the princess FMC Irissa's maid Lizette played a pretty significant supportive role during the story, but I didn't feel like I understood how the bond between them grew that way or why/how she had these magical potion-making abilities as a maid.
Overall, the monster smut details were enjoyable if a bit lacking for a book of this length, and while it was an entertaining read, I don't think I'd pick this book up again to re-read given the predictable plot (good people were always good, bad people were predictably bad).
Before I start reviewing, I wanna pinpoint that this book is just meant for 18+ readers as it has powerful sexual portrayals & bodily brutality.
Forced wedlock, enemies to lovers, is one of my favored tropes & this account gave me tickles in numerous instances (I'm still reddening when writing this)!! The entire case-by-case strategy had an apt pace, which made reading it all the more enjoyable. The writer provided the right amount of details at every step of the narrative from both the central protagonists' POVs & it was as much a roller coaster ride of sentiments for me as it was for the characters. The blooming tenderness between the duo & their banter was super adorable. I'm so happy I read this one & shall cheerfully recommend it to everyone who's into fiction, fantasy & monsters. The end was a little painful as I desired the tale to go on!! This is one of those books which I'm confident I'll re-read pretty soon.
And yes, before I forget, author R.K. Pierce, I'm a big lover of your books!!
Here’s the thing, I’m not a visual reader, my brain doesn’t work that way- so when there are descriptive passages I tend to gloss over them. I felt book went more into the looks of the castle and the gardens that I honestly didn’t care about. Some people love to visualize what they’re reading and I’m not one of those readers. I wanted the characters to interact more, it seemed months had gone by where only a few sentences were spoken between H&h. I really liked Nor and Irissa and wanted more interactions (spicy and otherwise 😉) of them together. Plot was good and wish the ending was longer. I called it between Liz and Oryx and I hope they get a book together, I really liked Oryx pain in the a**. Overall it was a nice, quick fantasy read. **I received this arc in exchange for an honest review**
This was such a sweet and quick (imo) book. The relationship between Nor and Irissa felt genuine from start to finish- I loved the ending. The plot did start slow, but picked up quick and it was actually quite interesting.
Both the MMC and FMC were strong and smart and owned it. There wasn’t any unnecessary rude comments or bullying between them either, hence why I call it sweet lol!
The steam was brought by both of the characters. 🌶🌶 They sure have a lot of chemistry 🥵 and I loveeed the size difference.
I’m hoping Oryx and Liz get their own story, especially since they’re was enough of a background shown throughout the book.
Eh, this one fell flat. It really felt like a YA romance with added sex. The writing and plot line was very rudimentary, which is fine, but not when your book is geared towards adults and not middle schoolers. Take out the sex and label it appropriate for middle school aged kids and I would have thought it was good. As an adult, I want depth in my books which this one lacked. It was repetitive and could have been 1/3 as short without the repetitive inner monologue. It would have improved the pace, to be honest.
Don't go into this read thinking you're going to get some great twist. The plot and ending are literally fed to you on a silver platter within the first few chapters. The obvious ending that you sit there and tell yourself, "This can't be the ending... the author is just setting me up to think so..." Nope. You think it because it's truly that predictable.
It is safe. It is cute. It is one layered when it comes to the characters. There isn't much depth to them, but they are likable and Nor does have the smallest amount of character growth where he isn't so much of an ass at the end. That's all.
Overall I was disappointed and bored. SO BORED with this read. There was so much mundane detail about the driver and what he wore and what he looked like. Why? Is this key information for later? Does he end up playing another roll? Nope. He doesn't. We are told every color and detail of decoration in every room she enters but we don't get enough character development for me to give one single care about them. The "heartfelt" ending where we should be sad or worried or hoping the best, I skimmed. I skimmed most of the book, if I am honest. Dialogue was read, that's about it because otherwise I would have DNFed.
Underwhelmed. Was it bad? Not at all. If you love books that are slow, safe, predictable with a simplistic plot you will love this book! But that just isn't my cup of tea.
The sex was also disappointing, I give it a 2 out of 5 on spice factor.
I fooking loved this book dude. Irissa is a princess but she’s straight up channels gator don’t take no sht vibes. To save their kingdom her daddy dearest is like yo. We are marrying u off to the Minotaur prince so we can have peace sorry bout your lady bits n sh*t. Ofc she’s completely blindsided and is gonna miss her hunky guard beefcake but then pulls her big girl panties up. I will do this for the good of my ppl. If I have to sacrifice my snatch to save the kingdom I mean. Ok fine. If I must. You can’t come back from that. It’s literally the size of a dudes forearm ppl but Minotaur man makes it work.
Honestly she’s the real mvp cuz I’d def have concerns. So night one he makes her squirt (swoon) even tho he’s a straight alphahole like I’ll take it. Give me sweet orgasms and I’ll overlook the horns and that cute gold bar in your nose. Maybe we can get freaky with it later… anywho evilness is afoot and ppl start being poisoned.
Poison for kuzco. Kuzcos poison. 🦙🧪I’m sorry. I had to.
The burn in this one man. It had me pulling my hair out and screaming at the author. Don’t worry. She’s good with it. The plot thickens… the plot = 🐂🍆 Minotaur d*ck nuff said like oley big daddy. But fr I loved the story in this one. FMC is highly relatable this isn’t your usual monster smut it has a solid storyline and Minotaur man becomes super sweet. I want one to moo with
Irissa is forced leave her struggling kingdom to marry a prince from a neighboring kingdom in order to save her people. Nor is forced to marry a human princess against his wishes in order to secure his spot as heir to his kingdom. Will this unlikely couple find some common ground in a forced marriage?
These two are forced proximity, enemies to lovers goals! Irissa is stubborn, driven, and determined to save her kingdom. Nor is not the happiest camper to be marrying a mate not of his own choosing, grumpy, and just as stubborn as Irissa. Together they burn against and for each other 😏 Irissa and Nor had my heart from the get-go and the tension between them was absolutely delicious and made for a great slow burn 🔥
While I loved the storyline that led us through Irissa and Nor’s relationship, there were a few things that fell flat for me. There is one storyline surrounding Irissa‘s troubled kingdom that was never wrapped up and just left a big question mark. We’re also left with a question on one character’s status at the end (vague bc I won’t give spoilers here). However, both of these do leave a little thread for potentially a second book? Maybe focusing on another couple? 👀 this is purely speculation on my part, but a girl can hope, right? 🤷🏼♀️ Overall, I can happily recommend this for any monster romance lovers out there!
Arranged Marriage Monster peen Sassy Princess Grumpy Minotaur
Irissa and Nor are two beings that in their wildest dreams never thought they would end up together.
Irissa is the beloved princess of Hyatt. It is hanging on by a thread from constant raids in the night, when one day her father tells her she will be shipped off to be married to one of the beings raiding their country.
Nor is the crown prince of Ulleh, extravagant country with enough resources to fuel eight countries. He is “patiently” waiting for his time to take the crown as King.
A Minotaur marrying a human Princess? 🤔
The road starts off bumpy but then bam 💥.
Will they survive all that is thrown at them or will they succumb to their enemies?
I absolutely loved this story.
Now time for the part we all want 🌶🌶🌶
R. K. has a knack for frustrating the heck out of me with this one. Loved it!!
While I enjoyed this story I feel like the relationship could have used some more depth. They enjoyed bantering and felt a connection but there was not much growth between them. Nor was often putting space between them and she was annoyed by it but didn't really seek him out either. I don't mean to say it wasn't unenjoyable it just could have been so much more.
If you love monster romance and royal storylines or enjoyed series like The Selection when you were younger, you'll love this book. It's always interesting to see how each author will present the Minotaur and here Nor has the bull's head and a man's body but unlike most,he doesn't have hooves for feet or a tail. Nor also doesn't have fur which took me by surprise somewhat. The story has an old world fairytale kingdom feel and castles, so I was surprised that Nor often wore t-shirts and modern clothing, which threw me off a bit, I think I was expecting armour or something like the cover illustration. He's cold and antagonistic to the heroine for awhile but soon becomes very protective and loving with her. I think some of my expectations weren't met in that he's not very...monstery. From his clothes to still living with his family to his point of view often seeming quite anxious or apologetic,he just didn't match up with the beast on the cover.
Irissa, (I love that name!) our princess heroine, was beautiful, elegant and sweet but strong. I really liked her and her maid friend Lizette.
The story is good and has a slight Beauty and the Beast similarity, there is quite a lot of descriptions and scenes that while nice didn't really grab me or further the story. I have no idea what it was but it felt more like a YA novel than an adult one, perhaps it was all the exploring the castle and gardens and petty fighting between the couple. If the steamy scenes weren't included, this would be every 14 year old's favourite book I think. Maybe it was partly Nor's family living with him that gave a teenage feel. I was also surprised these minotaurs eat meat despite having cow heads and they use leather...seems a bit suspicious.
The steamy scenes! There aren't that many and they're later on,but man they're swoonworthy! Especially the first one in the hallway when she sits on his shoulders... I think I read each paragraph of that 8 times and I was just a puddle. 😂 I was slightly disappointed with the final scene where he finally fits,it seemed an odd position choice for something so painful and wasn't as descriptive as prior scenes, but it was still good.
If you love fairytales, royalty, adventures and gentle monsters, this might be your dream book but if you wanted a more scary, warrior monster living ruggedly in an abandoned ruin and tons of smut, you won't find that here. I enjoyed it but couldn't shake the feeling that 12 year old me would love it more.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Another amazing book by R.K. Pierce !! Her books never disappoint me and I'm so excited to always read what's to come from her. When she mentioned minotaur and monster 🍆 I was like oh hell yes sign me up and boyyy it did not disappoint. I was pulled into the world of Irissa and Nor and I loved every moment of it. R.K. Pierce certainly knows how to world build and introduce you to all the characters that are involved in the story and you feel that attachment to each individual person. I was able to picture in my head how things looked and was able to picture the story like it was a movie in my head as I read it. I now have another obsession with monsters and well I wouldn't say no to a certain minotaur or two from this book I mean Nor is in the list. The spicy scene where just perfect and fitted in perfectly with the story.
Loved loved loved it !!!!! Can't wait to see whats to come
3.5-ish. An enemies-to-lovers arranged marriage monster romance with likable characters but not a ton of surprises plot-wise. Nor and Irissa are prince and princess of their respective countries and must marry to create an alliance. Both despise the idea, but ultimately agree as it is their duty: Irissa's to protect her people from incursions by the minotaurs; Nor's to cement his place as heir apparent to his father's throne. I had a little bit of a difficult time picturing the world--there's carriages and peasants and absolute monarchies, but also the minotaur wears tee-shirts and boxers?
Also, despite the author's dedication, it takes quite a long time before anyone actually gets railed by a minotaur.
Picked this up from booktok hoping for a Grace Draven vibe. The writing was decent but I took issue with our characters.
The conflict between the two kingdoms was not explained well and for Irissa who had never encountered her husbands species she was lusting after him from almost the first moment. I would have like more tension. Nor also thinks she’s beautiful and feels desire for her (a species that is at constant war with his own) upon just meeting.
Additionally our hero is a Minotaur but we have almost no details about what this means. For example if we are to assume he has a bovine type head making out with our heroine in a traditional way is just not possible with his anatomy and yet our hero is essentially a human in his interactions with her? I would have liked more detail on the monster part of the monster romance.
Enjoyable read, but a little hard to get invested in for some reason.
Irissa and Nor’s relationship was enjoyable at times but completely contrived at others. Their emotions didn’t follow any real rhyme or reason, especially Nor’s. He went from angry to horny to indifferent to caring then back again, and it made his relationship with Irissa hard to root for.
As far as the plot with the two kingdoms at war…honestly, it was incredibly predictable. So much so that I genuinely thought it was a bait and switch. It wasn’t BAD. Just a little disappointing and simplistic. I think if the villain of the story is going to be so obvious, it’s important to really establish that character and why they’re making these choices, and that wasn’t done here.
Overall, I’m interested in reading more from this author in the future! This story probably won’t be one I come back to again though.
Spice: 2/5 🌶

Anyone who knows me knows I am a big fan of anything monster that Rori writes and this is no exception.
Irissa's kingdom is ruthlessly and savagely being raided by minotaurs to the point they are on the brink of ever being able to come back from it, so her father decides to marry her off to Prince Nor to strengthen the alliance and stop the attacks. Irissa does not want to marry and minotaur, and Prince Nor does not want a weak, fragile human mate. So they strike a deal, play the game, pretend everything is going well so Nor can get his crown, then Irissa will be released from her duties and free to go.
But hidden things lay in wait and will this tear them apart or push them together?
Irissa is everything a princess should be in my opinion, she's strong, she's fiery and she's sassy. She's doing everything to keep her kingdom and her people safe. I loved her relationship with Lizette, and I love how she doesn't back down to Nor.
Prince Nor is as grumpy as can be, he has his eyes on the crown and nothing else. Irissa definitely starts to soften him up and I loved watching him fall for her. I loved his relationship with Oryx, and also the dynamic between Irissa, Nor, Oryx and Lizette.
This is a special mention to my man Zenobios, because I just felt myself being pulled to your character over and over.
The main reason I fell in love with Rori's books, is her ability to world build. Wether it's an 80 or 400 page book, her world building is absolutely impeccable🤌 You feel immersed in the world at all times and I feel that's really important if you're in the fantasy genre.
The story was fantastic, the world building was epic, and the spice was great. I can't wait to see what comes next.
Irissa loves her kingdom and will do anything it takes to ensure that her people no longer suffer, even if it means a marriage to her kingdom's enemy, the Minotaur. Known for their brutality, Irissa fears for her life what awaits her in the enemy castle. With only the escort of Lizette and a dagger strapped beneath her wedding dress, she finds herself shipped off to her new minotaur husband, Nor.
+ Arranged Marriage + Enemies to Lovers + Touch her and I will unalive you + Size difference 👀 + Magic ✨ + Hot Minotaurs
Rourke was my first minotaur to introduce me to his kind and I have always hoped to stumble upon that perfect minotaur book to capture the strength and passion of them. When I say that Nor (and Oryx and maybe even Zen) blew those wants out of the water, I am telling you to read this book immediately. I felt like Martha May Whovier in How the Grinch Stole Christmas when everyone is listing all the bad about the Grinch and she's like ✨The muscles✨. Nor has everything you could ever want in your monster husband.
But let me back up because as much as Nor and Oryx have me swooning, this story is so much more. The world building is phenomenal. I love the dark castle in contrast to Lirissa's homelands. I love the action that balanced out so perfectly to the spice passion. You get to truly see just how cruel the minotaur can be. In contrast, you get the soft and tender moments when Lirissa and Linette are alone with Nor and Oryx. Each character is whole and unique on their own and their personalities shine throughout the entire book. The first few chapters had me scowling at Lirissa and her outbursts, but you get to see a true transformation as she takes her place as a Queen in a title she rightfully earns.
And the betrayal was just the icing on top of all these tropes coming together in the plot for me. I love a good political subterfuge.
Thank you so much to RK Pierce for the ARC of Monster's Bride!!
“I haven’t waited this long to be quick. I plan to take my time making you shatter.” - Nor
Monster’s Bride was a well written monster romance with incredible world building and a nice blend of plot and political intrigue, with a dose of slow burn smut mixed in. Irissa and Nor are both shocked and unsure heading into their arranged marriage. Irissa fears marrying a minotaur, especially as her kingdom has been plagued by minotaur attacks to the point of near ruin. Instead of going into the marriage with a negative attitude she decides to make the best of it in the hopes of saving her people in the long run. Nor is initially horrified at the prospect of being the first royal to marry a non minotaur, and especially at the prospect of marrying a frail human versus a mate of his own choosing. Somehow the two find common ground and are drawn to each other from early on. The slow burn romance and steam is so well done. These two definitely have an enemies to allies to lovers theme going on. The overall plot is really strong and keeps the book moving along with perfect pacing and with just the right amount of twists to keep you guessing. I really enjoyed the side characters, and hope to see them get their own HEA book that provides some conclusions to questions this book didn’t quite get to answering. Monster’s Bride absolutely works as a stand alone but you’ll be keeping your fingers crossed that a book two is on the way, I know I am!!
🤍Irissa - human, Princess of the Kingdom of Hyatt, loyal to her subjects, intelligent, rational, open minded 🖤Nor - minotaur, Prince of Ulleh, eldest son and heir, brooding, well educated and well read, protector, compassionate 🤍Lizette - Irissa’s handmaid and friend 🖤Oryx - Nor’s brother and a Prince of Ulleh

✷ I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. ✷
Another wonderful book by R. K. Pierce! I love monster books, but this was my first minotaur book, and I wasn’t disappointed! The book starts out with Princess Irissa finding out that her father is marrying her off to the prince of the Minatours. They are known for being ruthless and evil, coming into the human lands, causing chaos and destruction, and k!lling off the humans. The last thing Irissa wants is to be married off and sent to live with them. Unfortunately, as we know, you don’t always get what you want – even as a princess. It’s a bit of an enemies to lovers at first, it’s a very slow burn, but the angst and tension between her and Prince Nor are extremely high. The characters are wonderful, the steam delicious – even though it develops slowly, and the worldbuilding is done well. The chemistry between the two is off the charts, and the banter between them is fabulous. It’s so entertaining! I fell in love with Nor, he’s a wonderful prince, and all he wants is what’s best for his kingdom. I’m gonna need more in this world! I hope we will get to see some of these characters again, I’d love for some of the other side characters to get their HEA, we will see, a girl can dream! Another excellent book by R.K., if you love monsters, arranged marriage, slow-burns, and enemies to lovers, you’ve found your next book! 🖤
This book had a few firsts for me. My first minotaur romance, my first ARC, and my first book by this author. And I really enjoyed all 3 experiences! I am officially here for the minotaur vibe. This was a ‘just right’ enemies to lovers story, not overly angsty but still had enough tension that the 🌶 was worth it. MMC Nor wound up being a great “I’m an asshole to everyone but her” dude and Irissa is a fiery strong willed FMC that I liked from the beginning.
The only little tidbit in the back of my mind was that the minotaurs of Ulleh all had a very ‘human’ demeanor. Which very well may have been the point, but it was a little easy to forget that they were minotaurs/a different species every once in a while. However, Irissa was under the impression that they were mindless beasts or “monsters” before meeting them so, like I said, I’m guessing it was 100% on purpose, just a little atypical to what I was expecting going in.
That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I will definitely be checking out the author’s other works. I’m not sure if she plans to build onto this world or series but that would be great too!
In the words of the author herself "spicy monster romance" is what you have in your hands 🖤 Nor and Irisa come from rival kingdoms (Ulleh and Hyatt), hers is in desperate need of saving and his holds all the power to change her and her peoples fates. Irissa may be a human princess and Nor a minotaur prince, but the chemistry between them is undeniable, and when they put their stubbornness aside, we have a glimpse of the ruler Nor is destined to be! Beautifully, funny and strong willed, Irissa makes the perfect mate for this grumpy, jealous bull. Just when things are looking up for them, and their wedding starts being something more than a truce, danger lures in the palace's shadows...
Steamy, funny, sweet° R.K Pierce delivers a book wonderfully written, one monster romance readers MUST READ. Wander in Ulleh's palace corridors, walk among the royal garden, grab a minotaur by the horns and get down and dirty...
P.s I'm rooting for Oryx (Nor's brother) and Liz (Irissa's maid and best friend) and can't wait to read their story!
My first read by R.K Pierce and she has already claimed her place in my one click read list 🖤
Irissa is a human princess who is forced to marry her kingdom's rival- prince Nor from the Minotaur kingdom. Nor is not too happy about this situation either, but has to agree in order to receive his titled birthright. They get married and have to learn to live together despite hating the other kind.
This reminded me of Radiance by Grace Draven! You have two people from different species who don't necessarily like each other, who have to get married for an alliance. However, this one is wayyy more enemies to lovers.
The ending was just a bit blah to me. It was super predictable and I was honestly a little let down. Felt very anticlimactic. I also felt the language to be a little off at times. Like I wouldn't think Minotaurs would be wearing "T-shirts" and "boxers" in a fantasy world? I know that is the author's choice, but it kind of took me out of the story.
I really liked this world and premise though! Very cool! The couple ended up being really cute together! And I really liked the tension and angst between the two in the beginning.
This is the story of Princess Irissa who is sent to marry Prince Nor so that the kingdoms can have a strong treaty and peace. Nor is upset by the parring because no one in his line of Minotaurs has ever married a human but his parents have arranged for him to. Irissa comes with a grudge on her shoulder because she doesn’t like the raids that have been happening to her people. The first few weeks things are difficult as soon as her and Nor get close he pulls away. Things come to a head when some soldiers from her kingdom come because of a big raid that happened and they feared her in danger. She tells Nor of the attacks on her people and he doesn’t believe her because they haven’t ordered any attacks. Things come to head when suspicions come to light and Nor and The royal family are poisoned. Luckily they survive and find out who is the force behind all the attacks. The story ends with a HEA where Irissa decides to stay forever with Nor.
Enemies to lovers. An arranged marriage by their fathers. Size difference. Slow burn. Minotaur and Human.
This book was fantastic 👏🏻
I won't spoil anything but damn that library scene was *chef's kiss*
I loved every minute of this slow burn monster romance. It really pulls you in right from the start and doesn't let up at all throughout the book. While the bad guy was a bit predictable it was still done I'm a fantastic way that you can't help but wait for their confrontation.
It was definitely a slow burn, Irissa and Nor start off hating each other when they found out their father's from enemy kingdoms arranged their marriage to form a treaty. The witty banter between the two was fantastically well written and I couldn't help but laugh several times. The side characters Liz (Irissa's maid but best friend and basically a sister) and Oryx (Nor's youngest brother); I need a book for their romance!
Thank you to the author for a chance to read an ARC of this.
Thank you to the author for sending me an arc for an honest review!
I read the novella Monster F*cker on June 16th & signed up to be on the arc list.
Tropes: arranged marriage, monster (Minotaur) & human, jealousy, touch her & you die
I was so excited to receive the email saying this book was ready for me to read & review. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Been going drown a smutty rabbit hole lately & this added a lot to it. With that being said of course this book has smut. Do check your triggers for this book & they are listed in the beginning pages.
We follow our main characters Irissa & Nor. Irissa is the princess of her kingdom & Nor is the heir to his kingdom. Irissa’s father & Nor’s father arranged their marriage to become allys & stop the war that was wreaking havoc on Irissas kingdom. They are both stubborn & rude to eachother for a while & continuously push each other’s buttons. Of course they end up falling for one another while dealing with fallouts of the war continuing to happen when no one in Nor’s kingdom knew about the raids. Of course the villain is someone close to home who is poisoning the family & calling the raids so they can rule the kingdom how they see fit.
I do hope we get another book to continue on where this left off. I would love to see more about how they are now King & Queen of Nor’s kingdom & how they plan to better Irissa’s.
This is my first book by R.K. Pierce and I'm definitely keeping that name on my radar for upcoming releases. I thought this was a really solid example of the arranged marriage trope with both main characters reluctantly agreeing on behalf of a political alliance arranged by their fathers. The monster vs human "prejudice" that both have for each other almost immediately disappears as they start throwing witty barbs at each other and that paves the way for a growing mutual respect.
I'm always reluctant about the enemies to lovers trope especially if the male is cruel towards the female main character but that is very brief here which I found a relief. The aloofness of the male main character almost from the beginning has nothing to do with his dislike- quite the opposite. So for those folks who don't like a lot of angst or want a more mild enemies to lovers, this is a great book!
This was a great paranormal romance!!! I am a smut loving girl and will always say you could add another smut scene but the plot was so good that the 3 scenes it had kept my interest without a problem. I adored Nor and Irissas building relationship and I want more from them! So much happened it’s hard to put into words but it was filled with tension, betrayal, treason, murder, panic, loneliness etc. I was pleased to be able to read this as an arc and am privileged to read the works of such a wonderful new author who by the way is the sweetest person! . . . . . . . . . . . . . I wanna see their future with her accepting the role as queen as she did their love and what their future holds including any children if at all or struggles with it. How they work together as a team and rulers. They have me entrapped in their love and I can’t get over it.

First I found R.K Pierce on TikTok promoting her novella Monster F*cker….it wasn’t the first monster smutty book I read but it was the first one that I LOVED I devoured the book so when she said she had this one coming and instead of a shapeshifting monster and a novella it was a Minotaur and a full sized novel I ran to set a notification so I didn’t miss this. Nor a bullheaded (pun-intended) prince is forced into an arranged marriage with Irissa. Irissa’s dad makes the arrangement to hopefully stop the attacks on their human kingdom and Irissa is not happy about it. They both fight the attraction till they can’t no more. The smut in here is chefs kiss but not as prominent it’s a good balance between the plot and smut.
