I could not relate to this book because I don't work excessively. There was some good information about the laws out there to protect the employee for sickness and disability; and FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act).

Why anyone would rate this book anything less than five stars is beyond comprehension. It's one of the classics on the subject. Most adults who work salaried jobs are conditioned to think they're slaves to their jobs. They work 50- to 60-plus hours per week, skip vacations, and don't realize the United States is still the only industrialized nation in the world without mandatory vacation laws. People continue to work longer hours, volunteering their precious personal time without receiving any compensation whatsoever, as if their jobs are more important than their lives. This book inspires people to set boundaries with their bosses and to stop acting like robotic corporate slaves. While everyone has a right to an opinion, not all opinions are valid, and that includes lackluster reviews of this book. Read it and decide for yourself.
