Thank you Crooked Lane Books and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. IYKYK, my reviews are always honest.
One sentence review: Honda Civic Reliable++ thanks to a stellar ending
SYNOPSIS
FBI Special Agent Kendall Beck teams up with Denver PD Detective Adam Taylor to take on TWO complex cases: a double murder with ties to sex trafficking, and the disappearance of Adam's niece, Frankie.
MY OPINION
What a fun ass ride! I absolutely loved the intro, it was unique and snatched my attention. The writing flowed naturally... Even the "unnecessary" dialogue between characters was enjoyable to read and rounded out the characters. The jokes and chemistry were effortless. Idk how she did it, but Sparks managed to use the phrase "more tea on our vic..." and "spilling the tea" without coming off cringey LOL. I actually cackled at some of the one-liners. But be warned, the humour can be crude at time (ie, calling someone a twatwaffle LOL). Some of my fave scenes were the interrogations led by Kendall. Her retorts were on point.
The writing and plot execution reminded me of Alafair Burke. Now, Alfair and I go way back. When I started reading again in 2017, I blazed through her entire backlist. Is she a literary goddess? Not particularly. But does she weave a thicc ass intricate web? Yes ma'am. Similarly, Sparks juggles multiple storylines with expertise. She does a fantastic job of keeping the story "busy" enough that several clues fly right past you. Or at least they did for me. But then again I do have a swiss cheese memory sooo... take that as you will.
And shockeroo, I liked all the characters. Kendall Beck kept it real. She wasn't over the top (you know the typical "chip on her shoulder" female cop), she wasn't rude af (ahem DD Warren), and she wasn't whiny. Taylor was a little OD with his idolization of his big bro's marriage, but other than that, he wasn't a sleaze.
Lastly, THE ENDING. AUTHORS (mostly Sharon Bolton– ily though) TAKE NOTE. THIS IS HOW YOU WRITE A SATISFYING ENDING. You DO NOT need 1409294 twisty twists and out of left field reveals. You can simply tie up any loose threads and have just ONE final act. Then you can have a lil epilogue that isn't written "catching up with a friend over coffee" style aka "Character One is now a baker with three kids, good for her." This was one of the best, tbh maybe THEE best, ending I've read in a hot minute. I can't tell you how relieved I was to "turn" to the last page and there wasn't some stupid ass contrived twist waiting for me. Big kudos to Sparks.
PROS AND CONS
Pros: 2 mysteries for the price of 1, fun banter, great flow, well-paced, plot execution on point, PERFECT ending – not OTT, not everything plus the kitchen sink, no stupid forced epilogue
Book 2 in the Kendall Beck series. I read The Wrong Woman a year ago, so I can't really confirm if this is a true standalone. I am guessing it is since there are new cases.
FBI agent Kendall is back and teaming up with Adam the local detective on a kidnapping case.
I hate to love a missing child plot, but I can't help it ~ this was a goodie. Adam's niece goes missing and it's a race against the clock to find her. I liked that each chapter gives us the timeline of how long she's been missing. There was edge of your seat action and I know I am not the only one that's going to be talking about that ending.
I was pleased with the narration by Erin DeWard for 9 hours and 51 minutes when she was doing her own voice, but her other tones were not great and sometimes distracting.
*Thanks to the author, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the ARC. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review*
I didn't read the first in the series and now I know I want to go back and do it despite the spoilers.
Every Missing Girl starts with a good thing happening. At a gas station, a kidnapped teenager is found alive and the kidnapper is dead. The bad part is that the store's cashier is murdered too.
FBI Special Agent Kendall Beck is called to the crime because her job is to find missing children. Denver Homicide Detective Adam Taylor is there because of the double murder and he needs to figure out what happened before a good samaritan killed the kidnapper.
Kendall and Adam had worked together before and they have a good rapport. Then while they are both at Adam's niece's hockey game, the unthinkable happens: Frankie is taken.
Adam and Kendall embarked on a mission to recuperate Frankie from whoever has her.
I figured out early on what was happening but it didn't diminish my interest at all. Both Adam and Kendall are great characters that I want to see again working together to solve a crime.
The narrator Erin DeWard did a great job keeping the action moving.
Cliffhanger: No
4/5 Fangs

I read this book with mixed reactions. The two main cases seemed unrelated and branched out to other crimes. There was a shooting in a shop. Two people were killed during what appeared to be a robbery in progress. There was also the disappearance of a twelve-year-old girl after she played in a hockey game. During the investigations of these two cases, kidnapping for child trafficking, and illegal drug sales, especially to minors, came to light. The detectives investigated a number of possible suspects. There were suspicious, secret trips by the missing girl's mother that needed to be solved. The plot was well-constructed and paced, and the storyline was grim and believable. These strengths in the writing were 4 Stars for me.
Other parts were not as compelling. I was not aware that this was the second book featuring FBI Special Agent Kendall Beck and Denver Homicide Detective Adam Taylor. Adam is anguished as the latest missing girl is his niece, Frankie. They uncovered a child trafficking ring earlier, but it is far from solved or dismantled. The concern is that if Adam's niece has been kidnapped, she may fall into the hands of a gang selling stolen children to predators. They are hoping Frankie ran away from home and they can find her before it is too late. This could be read as a standalone but thought if I had read the previous book, I would be better acquainted with these detectives. I didn't feel a connection and failed to engage with their characters. I viewed them as competent and resourceful officers, but their personalities seemed exaggerated, flawed, and annoying. They seemed to enjoy a chance to administer some police brutality in anger before going through official arrest channels. Most humourous dialogue among officers served as a relief from tensions, but some seemed crude or silly and diverted from the suspense. 3 Stars.
The conclusion made connections between the shootings, child abductions, and the drug trade. Time is running out to rescue Frankie before she will be moved out of the state or country. Adam wants nothing more than to return her safely to her family. Will they find her in time? The ending provided a startling and shocking twist that was a daring choice by the author. 5 Stars! I will be looking for the author's next book. Thanks to NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for the ARC in return for an honest review.
Grabbed this on audio to listen to on a long work road trip. I didn't realize it at the time, but it's actually the 2nd in a series. I haven't read the 1st but can vouch that it doesn't matter. Events and results of the first book are mentioned throughout, but the plot of Every Missing Girl works fine as a standalone.
This was a pretty straightforward, reliable FBI/police procedural. The synopsis was intriguing: a young girl, our male MC's niece by the by, goes missing after her hockey practice. The mystery kept me awake for 9 hours haha so there's that.
But there were a lot of side characters and suspects that made it cumbersome to juggle via audio. Many aspects of the plot were convenient and not very believable as well. The ending, however, was wrapped up nicely, even a bit shocking.
DNFd this around page 156. I don't think this is a bad book, but the pacing is a bit weird. I'm also not interested in the thriller aspect of the story, which is a little giving, considering this is a thriller.
Many Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for giving me this ARC in exchange of an honest review.
FBI Special Agent Kendall Beck is teaming up with local detective Adam Taylor for an investigation of a missing girl in Denver in the Rocky Mountains. During the investigation Adam’s niece, Frankie, also goes missing. It is becoming clear there is a predator out there and this case has turned very personal! Bit by bit this crack team of investigators starts to form the picture of what happened, will they be too late?
I really enjoyed EVERY MISSING GIRL! I would categorize it as a Police Procedural Drama and this is not my typical genre. Something a bit different for me and it pulled me into the story immediately. This is number 2 of the Kendall Beck series but can definitely be read as a standalone, which is what I did. The ending wrapped things up perfectly, I would highly recommend this book!
Many thanks to Leanne Kale Sparks for my gifted copy.
This review will be posted to my Instagram Blog (@coffee.break.book.reviews) in the near future.
Boom! Just like that I got to review a copy of the second book in the Kendal Beck series by: Leanne Kale Sparks. Her first book, "The Wrong Woman" was a outstanding FBI procedural and I rated it five stars which at almost 100 reviews and growing is pretty rare for me. So when "Every Missing Girl" popped up I requested it about as fast as Lance Armstrong can dope....er climb up the Alps.
This series stars Kendal Beck and she is as badass as you get. When she is on a case she give zero fu&%s and relentlessly takes it to the end. The plot of this one is pretty straightforward. One night watching her friend: Denver Homicide Detective Adam Taylor's niece play hockey we find out Taylor's niece disappears without a trace. This one is personal as both The FBI under Kendal Beck and Denver PD under Adam Taylor rush to find her before it's too late.
The Good: Outstanding procedural work. It's entertaining and tense. This one goes A-B in spectacular fashion. Also..... It's hilarious in parts. These are FBI and PD agents and their back and forth banter is as real and funny as it gets. I think the book really captures the agitation and snarks they throw each other as only people who deal with horrible things for a living do to let off steam. Many books try and do this and it comes as annoying but this one nails it.
The book is short and under 300 pages. With short chapters. Seriously, why do some books have to be 500 pages for similar plots? Who has time for that?
The ending! Holy Crap, I am not going to spoil the book but this book nails it! It's a gut punch and this series isn't scared to kick your ass.
The bad: Not much. I will say I think Kendal Beck was a tad bit one dimensional in this book and maybe tried to come across as too much of a badass? Ok, just kidding.... LOL you can never be too much of a badass. But still a little one dimensional but too be fair this book isn't really about her.
Ok, I think we have a good series in the works going with Kendal Beck and I can't wait for the next one! Maybe a Kendal Beck and Josie Quinn crossover? Just kidding....
I really appreciate Crooked Lane Books for giving me the opportunity to review this book and it has a publication date of February 7, 2023.
Thank you to the author Leanne Kale Sparks, publishers Dreamscape Media, and as always NetGalley, for an advance audio copy of EVERY MISSING GIRL.
Kendall and Adam catch a missing persons case they both dread, since they know the parents, but not where to start. A seemingly unrelated crime a zipcode over, a shooting at a small grocery store robbery, comes to connect to their missing persons case and that's the least shocking thing that happens in this book.
With many mysteries, I often find the pace a bit too slow. But this is a mystery that moves like a thriller. Many of the twists are unexpected in nature also, which I feel always serves to propel this sort of story through its next leg. The characters are well drawn and play their parts well without being archetypal. Plenty of red herrings are on offer and it seemed that no character, at some point or another in the story, is above smelling fishy. I love this element. Suddenly, I find myself thinking, "the neighbor's sweet poodle is selling the wrestling team performance enhancing drugs?!" And actually believe it!
Please consider this my trigger warning for violence against children and women, child abuse, child intoxication, SA, child SA, child prostitution, human trafficking
I liked Erin DeWard as the reader of this audiobook. Good variation among characters and good emotional expression. She has a certain gravel to her voice that works well for crime genres.
A compelling mystery with unpredictable turns that moves fast-- definitely a fun read!

FBI Agent Kendall Beck is send to a robbery gone wrong in a convenience store, together with her sidekick from the police, Adam Taylor. Beck is specialized in missing children and that is the reason she is also on scene: one of the casualties in the store was a man who was with an abducted girl. After reuniting this girl with her mother, instead of going to thoroughly investigate what has happened, they both go the skate rink that evening to watch a hockey game of Adam's niece, Frankie. If you think that is odd, than be aware that a lot more illogical things will happen with these two. You'll have to suspend all disbelief in order to enjoy the story that will unfold. The next thing? Frankie is missing right after the game ! Is she abducted? Has she run away? Beck and Taylor immediately assume the worst and go on the chase to find the 12 year old in the maze of Denver's backstreets.
Where it would be normal to assume that Adam would be off the case immediately as he is the girl's uncle, instead he is ignoring all orders and plants himself firmly into every interrogation and messes up big time because he can't keep his temper in check. If he wouldn't have meddled, the case would have had a much better chance of being solved rapidly, but he is just one big bag of testosterone going loose. Kendall is supposed to be an intelligent and strong woman, but she invents some crazy theories, instead of going after the very obvious culprit. For example: did she really think you could make a 12 year old believe her father could be dead? Does she know there is something called social media? This is just one of the many things that made me cringe.
I guess that if you can put these peculiarities aside - and the fact that there are way too many characters, mainly a dozen FBI agents and police officers - then you can enjoy a procedural with a lots of action, a twisty ride and bombshell ending.
Thank you NetGalley, Crooked Lane books and the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
FBI agent, Beck, teamed up with a homicide detective, Taylor, to solve a missing girl case. While working on the case, Taylor's niece also went missing. A coincidence or are these two cases linked? It was now a race against the clock to find his niece. With each passing hour, the chances of finding her decrease.
It was well-written, captivating, and fast-paced. There was never a dull moment. I would have liked an epilogue or a chapter devoted to Frankie's POV. This way, it would have coaxed more emotions from me. I also would have been more invested in the storyline. But it was still a great read without Frankie's POV and I highly recommend it. You can even read this as a standalone.
***I would like to thank NetGalley, Leanna Kale Sparks (the author), and Dreamscape Media for graciously sending me the audiobook to review. As always, all thoughts are my own.**
Leanne Kale Sparks returns from The Wrong Woman with her second novel in the Kendall Beck series —EVERY MISSING GIRL. A cold case of a missing girl suddenly becomes front and center.
Set in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, FBI Special Agent Kendall Beck, and Denver Homicide Detective Adam Taylor team up to investigate a kidnapping crime, but the case quickly turns cold.
There are two complex cases, a double murder tied to sex trafficking and the disappearance of Adam's niece, Frankie. When Taylor's niece, Frankie, suddenly vanishes at a local hockey rink, it becomes apparent a predator is on the loose. This is now personal.
The book starts with a crime scene at a convenience store/gas station (a murder) where Agent Beck is sent to investigate. It appears it is a robbery. Are the robbery and child abduction cases related or a coincidence?
Why had the girl been there? What connection did she have to the dead guy?
Who was the couple who abducted Savannah, and how did they get into the neighborhood? Was it random? Had they followed her from school, and was it planned? How many other girls had they done this to?
There are missing girls. Many before Frankie's niece and the others. How are these girls taken, and from where? Where are they taking them, and what is being done to them? Who is behind this? So many questions.
It appears they are connected, and they soon are unraveling a human trafficking ring that involves teenage girls. Can they get there in time to save Frankie's niece and other victims?
Some family secrets are unraveled with Frankie's mom. I enjoyed Kendall's character (even though she was a little over the top), their banter, and the working relationship with Agent Taylor. I was a little shocked at the ending, and it did not go as I had thought.
I am spoiled with Lisa Gardner and Karin Slaughter's cop procedurals (my two favorites), so I typically do not read others; they just cannot compare.
This is the series' second book, but it can be read as a standalone. The audiobook narrator Erin DeWard gave an engaging performance for all voices.
Thank you to #CrookedLaneBooks and #NetGalley for a gifted ARC and #DreamscapeMedia for an ALC.
NOTE FORMATTING: The e-ARC was very difficult to read and frustrating when sent to my Kindle app and reading on iPad. Not like any of my other digital books. Hopefully, the finished digital copies will be better.
I finally gave up and grabbed the audiobook to get through it. Unfortunately, I also had issues with the audiobook stopping constantly. Overall, not a good reading/listening experience.

Every Missing Girl (A Kendall Beck Thriller) by Leanne Kale Sparks (book review - 4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫) Thriller - Available on February 7th. 272 pgs.
This chilling novel is book 2 in the Kendall Beck Thriller series. I read it as a stand-alone. The author spins a winning tale set in the scenic Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I was hooked from the first chapter. This is my first time reading this author, and I was blown away. This is a must read for thriller fans!
Synopsis The FBI's Kendall Beck and Denver Homicide Detective Adam Taylor work together to investigate the kidnapping of a local teen. When Taylor's niece, Frankie, suddenly disappears at a local hockey rink, it's obvious that a predator is at large. Can Beck and Taylor find Frankie before she is harmed?
Thank you NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for sharing this novel with me. Your kindness is appreciated. Way to go Leanne Kale Sparks! This book is a winner!
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book! This story begins with a missing girl found during a double homicide at a gas station. Main characters Adam Taylor and Kendall Beck are assigned the case. Later that day Adam’s 12 year old niece goes missing. Switches between Adam and Kendall’s perspective throughout the book as they try to solve both cases.
Suspend your disbelief before beginning this book. Many of the scenarios felt super unrealistic with way too many coincidences. The story started off a bit slow but picked up about 25% of the way through. I really liked Becks character — she was strong, determined, and caring. Couple minor plot holes throughout. The author switched between calling the characters their first and last names and maybe it was because I was listening instead of reading but it got confusing at times. There was a lot of side cop characters which also was confusing but they were for the most part irrelevant to the actual story. Also personal pet peeve but I don’t like Tik tok slang in literature lol
This is also the second book in a series, I didn’t read the first and didn’t feel like I needed to. Don’t read this book if you want to read the first one though, there’s a lot of spoilers!
OMG! I’m totally GOBSMACKED by the ending. Someone pick me up off the floor! WTH just happened? This is one book I’ll never forget! I just loved this author’s writing style. The plot and characters were really good. This was the second book in the Agent Kendall Beck series. I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Thanks NetGalley, Crooked Lane Books and Leanne Kale Sparks for this ARC!
This book broke me. It broke me because I have girls around the age of the missing girls, and that ending broke me! WTF happened when I know going into reading some books that there won’t be a happy ending in some, but you still hold out the hope that all will be well in the end? This is the first I've read of the series, and it will not be my last. Kendall is an FBI agent, and she and Adam were working on a robbery that went south together. Then later that night, Adam's niece went missing, and they did everything they could to find her. Now this robbery that went south is also a double murder, and the more they get down to what happened, they find out something far more sinister is going on. They found a connection to the sex trafficking children ring, and now they were even more terrified for Adam's niece Frankie. This book is a rollercoaster, but you will want to join for the ride! Kendall is a down-to-earth cop; she doesn't have a chip on her shoulder. She is doing her job, and she wants to solve these cases! This author knows how to wrap up the book, and she does so with grace with one final act. While this is not a book if you have triggers, it is one that you will want to read in one afternoon because once you start it, you will not be able to put it down! However, I listened to the audiobook; the narrator was terrific, and the voice fit the characters very well! I recommend it if you want a great mystery with a wild ride! Thank you, Netgalley and Dreamscape Media, for the extraordinary opportunity to listen and review this one! It is a treat that no mystery/thriller lover will want to miss!
I was really looking forward to reading this book, and it did not let me down. This is my 1st book by the author and will definitely not be my last. Another autobuy author has been added😊
FBI Special Agent Kendall Beck teams up with Denver PD detective Adam Taylor when a convenience store robbery turns into a double homicide and a missing child is found with a witness. During the investigation, they unraveled some evidence that could lead to a sex trafficking operation. Then Adam's 12 year old niece, Frankie, goes missing after a hockey game. Was she taken by the people in the ring? Time is of the essence when someone goes missing. Can these two find Frankie before it's too late?
This is the 2nd book in the Kendall Beck series, but I read it as a standalone. I will definitely be reading the 1st one as well. I loved this book! It had me feeling all sorts of emotions, and I was very invested in the characters. Special Agent Kendall Beck is a badass! She has quickly become one of my favorite book characters. She never lets anyone get in her way and will take down men twice her size. I love a book with a strong female lead. I thought this book was very well written in the dual POV of Kendall and Adam. I didn't see the twists coming, and the ending was a total shocker! This was a great police procedural thriller, and I highly recommend this one.
FBI & detective investigating cases of missing girls when the detective’s niece goes missing and the case becomes very personal.
I think I’ve watched too much criminal minds and I found myself comparing this book to criminal minds the entire time. The book was cringey in comparison.
In reality I don’t think you’d ever see an agent or detective allowed to work on one of their own family member’s case.
There were multiple investigations happening at once and it felt like it was purposely incorporated to confuse the reader, not add to the plot.
I found the ending really predictable.
I just didn’t really enjoy this one and wouldn’t really recommend it.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Every Missing Girl is a solid read. This was a Netgalley Audio arc and I listened to, and loved it, in a single day. Apparently this is book 2 in the Kendall Beck series, but I hadn't read that one and do not feel anything was missed in my enjoyment of the sequel.
There were several story lines going on involving missing girls, and that kept things moving quickly. I thought all the characters were fleshed out adequately, and surprisingly, I really connected with the fmc FBI Agent Kendall. Author Sparks wrote her with a pleasant, funny inner monologue which made her feel more than just a law enforcement character. She was human, and relatable.
As to the plot - hard to listen knowing child trafficking is a thing, but well written and interesting. I did not guess the many surprises which is a treat as a reader.
To the publisher, and future readers, the arc I listened to was recorded in a funny speed. I typically listen to audio at the "normal" 100% rate to be sure to capture the story as intended. This Netgalley arc may have been released at a different rate than the final copy, but at the "normal" rate it sounded like each syllable was being drawn out. I had to double the speed in order to not break my brain. Hopefully if that was in error, Dreamscape can correct it before the 2/7/23 release.
All in all, well done and so well done I am now exploring more work from this author.
I was so excited when I found out that there was a second Kendall Beck book coming out, so I requested it immediately! I read The Wrong Woman last year and thought it was such a well written police procedural!
FBI agent Kendall Beck and Detroit Homicide Detective Adam Taylor team up to investigate a kidnapping case, but soon after they start working on that case, Adam's niece, Frankie, disappears after her hockey game. When they find a connection to a local sex trafficking ring, they are even more desperate to find her.
I love Kendall, and how smart and tough she is! I also love how she can be a bit sarcastic when she interviews suspects! She is good at her job and determined to solve her cases.
The ending was unexpected and one of the best that I have read in a thriller/police procedural novel.
This book was fast-paced and well written, and I can't wait for the next book in the series!
Thank you so much to @netgalley, @crookedlanebooks, @prbythebook and @lmksparks for the gifted e-arc of this book!
ARC audiobook provided in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed Erin DeWard’s narration on this book! Her voice was easily understandable and she encompassed all the characters extremely well! The story revolves around FBI agent Kendall Beck and her longtime friend homicide detective Adam Taylor teaming up to solve the missing persons care of Adam’s niece Frankie. There are so many twists and turns with shocking revelations along the way! I can honestly say that I had no idea how it was going to end and it all took me completely by surprise! I really enjoyed the authors writing style and how she updates the beginning of each chapter with the time the girl has been missing. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys detective stories and solving mysteries!
I absolutely love the writing style of this author. This was the second book in the series and what a thriller. Especially when you get an outcome you never expected.
I liked this and read it pretty fast. This is apparently a second in series but I didn't feel it was necessary to read Kendall's first story. There were references to it and enough was explained to make me feel that I didn't need to read it first in order to follow along with this story. (But I'm planning to grab it still as it seems it could be a good story!)
This opens with a double murder and missing-now-found (alive) child which is why Detective Adam Taylor and FBI Agent Kendall Beck are both assigned to the case. There is a second case open when Adam's niece goes missing. I liked Kendall and Adam's vibe and can't wait to read more of them in the future! (Especially to see how their relationship progresses-- they seem to have been thru some stuff together). They seem like great friends but also work well together, and some of my favorite times were when Kendall put Adam in his place and didn't take any shit from him.
The police and FBI procedural aspect was pretty standard. There were a couple red herrings in terms of suspects and I thought this was a good story. Fast paced, short chapters, and kept me interested throughout. I was not bored.
If there's any reason this didn't make it to 4 stars: there were a couple grammatical errors and consistency issues. Like "too" instead of "to" and "employer" when "employee" would have been appropriate, then finally: a scene where Kendall looks next door to a person's house and thinks "could he be at his sister's?" when it was clearly established by multiple scenes that the character living there is his Aunt. Hopefully these are caught in the next edit though; and they weren't serious enough to take me out of the story as I knew the intent.
TW: rape and, because it is Kendall's job, lots of talk (and descriptions of processes) of child trafficking.
Thank you to the publisher via Netgalley for the early copy to read and review!
I loved the 1st Kendall Beck book so much. I love the police procedural aspect that reflects so much Law & Order SVU, but this one had some different vibes. It had a very intriguing storyline with her close friend and fellow law enforcement pal's missing niece. But what I had a hard time with was the ending of the book seemed to fall flat. It was such a sad, abrupt ending. It felt like even the epiloge didn't give it any closure. With the newly found evidence and break I was hoping for more tests and interviews and descriptions of what happens and what the original plans were.
I will absolutely read another book from Leanne Kale Sparks. I think her writing is fantastic! I love her thrillers!
Thanks to NetGalley and Crooked Lane Books for the advanced reader copy! This book is part of a series, which I did not know when I received it, but can 100% be read as a standalone. This story had a lot of characters which made it hard to keep track of who was who, but at the end, it all made sense. This book consists of numerous plot twists, but the ending is really where my jaw dropped. I would give it 4 stars, as I enjoyed it immensely but would recommend people look up trigger warnings as it dealt with hard topics.
PHENOMENAL WOW. The ending was so heart wrenching and God damn the narrator did such an amazing job with all the different characters. I definitely wasn't able to follow everything unfolding because it all sorta happened at once and it was a lot of people involved, but that just makes me more excited to reread this and the wrong woman. MRS SPARKS PLEASE KEEP WRITING THESE I NEED MORE KENDALL STORIES I LOVE HER SO MUCH🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻
Thank you to the publisher, author and Netgalley for the ARC of this book.
I really enjoyed this read. I know other reviews shared they didn’t like the back and forth between the crimes but I felt they all flowed really well together. I didn’t see the tie between everything coming, which is always a satisfying read when it keeps you engaged and unknowing till the end.
Every Missing Girl was a hard read but excellent nonetheless. An FBI agent and the police stumble on a possible child trafficking ring during a robbery gone bad. The danger hits too close to home and sometimes we don’t get the happy ending we are looking for. I was engrossed from the start and couldn’t stop reading u til the final chapters.
