A great in-depth book that provides a thorough in-depth breakdown of 1 corinthians 11.

Let me say that again...this book, unlike some other books on this topic, doesn't "duck" the pressing questions we (people who grew up on the outside looking in regarding the embrace of the hair ideology) have about it. This book dives into the original language as it pertains to hair length in the bible.

To continue with my "no ducking" theme...the author isn't afraid to address issues that he doesn't have a clear answer for. I question the way some of these were addressed....but he acknowledged that his opinion on these issues was an opinion.

In addition to the overall breakdown, Daniel also provides a section of the book where he addresses popular questions his previous book related to this subject received, some of which i had personally regarding this topic.

This is likely still the strongest treatment on this topic from a UPCI perspective. This book does a fair enough job of exegeting 1 Corinthians 11 from the framework of the UPCI. but his overall theological system and conclusions are misguided. Back when I had the same denominational affiliation as Segraves, I read everything he wrote I could get my hands on (outside of his Urshan biography). I no longer hold to his denominational distinctives, but I'm thankful for the formation he did provide.

Again: I don’t feel comfortable giving a rating on a religious book.

I thought this book was great, confusing at times, but still great. Definitely gave me some awesome insight into Corinthians 11.
