Being sisters always means you have backup. After Selena loses both of her parents in a tragic house fire, Gloria's parents take her in as their own. While struggling with the death of her parents, Selena struggles with suicidal thoughts and drug addiction. Gloria becomes sick and is diagnosed with lung cancer. The girls, who went from being best friends to sisters, fight together to get through their struggles. Each girl fights demons, while never leaving each other's side. Through their trials and tribulations, the girls turn their pain into something good. Selena and Gloria decide together that they don't want anyone to feel alone. They decide to create a safe haven for all of those who feel lost and seek guidance. Together, they make it through the toughest of times and come out stronger than ever.

This book was nice

I liked the story line and the moments of happiness that the characters had

I do feel the writing was too simple for me I feel that it could have decried more instead of being more short and simple
I liked the emotional aspects of the story dealing with grief and illness and how you choose to view it and move on
Overall nice read 👍
