Camp will put down anyone who threatens Rachel, including a trafficking ring hunting her after she escapes their dungeon prison. Campbell “Camp” Barlowe was a street kid raised by one founder of the Black Daggers. He’s now the forty-two-year-old silver fox president of that MC and a firefighter for the city of Charleston. When he’s called to a house fire, he rescues a woman held prisoner in the basement. With nowhere safe to go, Camp hides Rachel in his home. He finds himself fighting his attraction to the girl who fits in his life like a glove but is fifteen years his junior. Rachel Torrance is no innocent kid. She’s quickly approaching thirty and has seen her share of violence. Her older brother is an Enforcer for the Soulless Bastards MC. He also kidnapped and sold her to pay off his debts. As the only girl and middle child, she grew up tough and learned to fight to protect her younger brother, but no one taught her how to fight for a man who thinks he’s too old for her.
Camp is the fourth book in the Black Dagger MC series and contains a couple fighting an evil organization, and an age gap romance between a stubborn man and a strong woman who makes no bones about her desire to be his Old Lady.
All the characters in this series appear in each book. Due to the timeline of the series, some events in Camp began in Buc, Black Daggers MC 3. You'll get a broader understanding of the complex characters and events of the MC if you read the series in order.
Camp is the President of the Black Daggers MC and a Firefighter for the city of Charleston. Answering a call to a house fire Camp finds Rachel, being held prisoner locked in the basement. She has been through unimaginable horrors thanks to her brother who's the Enforcer for the Soulless Bastards MC. Camp is determined to protect her and keep her safe while Rachel, he's also bull headed and can't see what right under his nose. Rachel is a fierce, determined woman who allows nothing to deter her. These two have a rough path but with their grit and determination, they have what it takes to get to their hea.
I was so disappointed with this one. I was so excited to finally be reading Camp's story and I really felt let down. Not only was I not feeling any connection between Camp and Rachel, but Camp himself was coming off as kind of weak for a Pres. And just a side thing...how does it work to have a real job and also be an MC member? Especially an officer where you can be called to action at any given time. Just curious. I guess that's why most books have them owning their own businesses.
Rachel is a badass to does what she can to save herself and others. Camp is a stubborn President who fights what's right in front of him. Things don't come easy for this couple and the unimaginable horror test everyone. They are the Black Daggers and they will stop at nothing to rid the town of evil.
I enjoyed the story, however it felt a little disjointed in the beginning, it improved as the story went along. I'm unsure if reading the first 3 books in the series might have helped to get a better understanding and helped it to flow better. Can't wait to read the next in the series to find out what's in store for Tex.
Camp feels he is too old for Rachel’s love. She has been through hell and back several times . Camp finds that when she pushes his buttons a little too far that does it for him he gives into his feelings of love. Loss of family is tough in this one. But only certain family members deserve their grief.
Camp and Rachel are a great couple and great sexual chemistry. They both try to stop human trafficking in their area. Rachel brother Beast is a prospect for black dagger Mc . Rachel was found in basement with other children that were going to be sold as sex slaves. I enjoyed the story and the struggles that Rachel went through to get her happiness.
This was another great Black Dagger book. This is about Camp the Pres. When he is called to a house fire he gets more than he bargained for in the form of a tornado of a woman called Rachel.
Another fantastic story in the Black Dagger MC. The Author did a great job combining the storylines from the different books. I love Rachel & Camp as a couple, both strong willed but learn to bend.
He an EMT / fire fighter and MC club president. But he finds her trapped in a basement from traffickers. And brings him and his club into passion and danger.
I enjoyed reading the continued series of the black dagger MC . Camp finds his old lady in Rachel. The storyline is focus on the other MC members and families.
