Not Another Hood Love Story

4.5⭐️ this was entertaining from start to finish! Crissy really couldn’t catch a break 😩 but I’m glad she started to get some relief. Crystal was on her Wanda sht stressing me out, and even tho I like Keys and his energy, it didn’t take much convincing for him to do something grimy on multiple occasions. Sht really hit the fan at the end, so I need to know what happens next!
I’m not a stickler for typos etc…but the amount in here was distracting.

Not Another UNEDITED hood story
Much like the title…. this work of fiction was Hood. As far as the typos and improper words usage. If the author invests in an editor. This would of been a great read! She has talent and understands the assignment! I wanted a hood story but, the editing issues annoyed and messed up the flow.😒

A book deserving of so much more than 5 stars!!!…This book although filled with so much much trauma, heartbreak and tad bit of happiness, was written so beautifully!!!…
Cece definitely passed down her childhood trauma to her children and was angry that Crystal fought back against it!!!…Crystal was beyond her broken years because she definitely mothered her sister to make sure she did not represent her circumstances!!!…
These girls were not equipped to fight in this world, but they did the best they could to see after each other and another loss flipped their worlds inside out!!!…
Losing Vic and her babies sent Crystal in a tailspin and now Crissy is left to parent a child that Crystal was not equipped to mother because of the demons she is battling!!!…
This book made me cry, made me angry and filled me with so much understanding of the blessing that will show up when you least expect them!!!…
I’m off to read book 2 because book 1 definitely left me with mouth laying wide open!!!…

That ending had me clutching my pearls
This was such a good drama filled story. My heart hurts for Crystal, she put her life on hold to help her sister. Just when things were looking up she was dealt blow after blow. Chrissy was sheltered from as much as possible by Crystal. Now with out her sisters support she has to do what she has to do for her niece. It seemed she found her knight in shining armor in Keys. I’m dying to see what is next, cause that ending was brutal. I’m definitely rooting for them.

I read it in one sitting
Ok, I need the next one. Crissy and Crystal went through some unimaginable trauma as children and adults. Crystal unfortunately chose to cope in the most unhealthy way, leaving Crissy with a heavy burden to bear. Keys swooped in to lighten the load but everything that looks like sugar ain’t sweet. I still like Keys although he comes with his own set off issues. I can’t stand Pete and hope he gets what is coming up him. All in all it was a good read with lots of drama.

Great read
This book was really good but has a bunch of trigger warning! There was a reason I haven’t read this authors. Oops for a minute. Sometimes I want a feel good love story and not a tragic love story. The end may be blissful but getting it to it leaves you a bit traumatized. I digress, this book is well written and it was a page turner for sure. It’s definitely a hood story so if you don’t mind the storm it’s a must read. Moving on to the next book because I’m totally invested at this point.

soooooo darn goood! why did it end?
Lucinda ima need you to come finish this book!! I did not expect anything to happen the way it did.! But it was sooooo freaking good. I just hope Chrissy don’t go down the path or her momma or sister. She deserves to break the cycle. I’m soooo mad that Key played her that way. And i don’t even know if their relationship will last not that she lost the baby and he got one on the way. Lord i am praying for strength for my girl

The pain of addiction
Everybody knows a crack head. I don't care if you grew up in the suburbs, country or ghetto the pain of addiction affects everyone it touches. The two girls grew up with a no good mama that unfortunately set the stage for this circus. Chyna and Chrissy never had a chance, but Crystal is the weakest link. Very good realistic story of hood struggle and everybody don't make it out.

Ok read
The book wasn’t bad but some errors did take away from the story. Keys back and forth about not wanting anymore babies, but suddenly switching up irked me. I had high hopes for Crystal, but that damn Pete is the devil. I hope there is some character development in regards to Crissy in book two because Keys got skeletons that are going to definitely break her. The abuse of drugs has to stop with her.

Oh my goodness! I’d just read a 700 page book and I read on a kindle so I had no idea is was abruptly ended like that! Luckily for me I already purchased book 2 and am ready to get going.
So far this series is FIRE! I understand the power of addiction. (Fortunately not first hand). But this story had me shook.
But I have so many questions as to what’s going to happen to Chrissy and Keys. Can’t wait for the next one! Here I go..

This book is too good🔥🔥🔥
Crissy just can't catch a break. She's been through so much and when she finally gets happiness, it's taken away. I love Keys, but I can't get with how he's moving. I hope he survives and Crissy be okay. I hated what happened to Crystal and to know Pete ruined her life before she even met him was a turn of events. I can't wait for part 2.

I'm speechless. I need part 2 ASAP. This story was captivating from beginning to end!! I really hope Crissy and Keys get their happily ever after! I 🙏🏾🙏🏾 that Crystal is alive and recovers from her nasty habit!! Crissy and Crystal were dealt a bad hand and continued to suffer tragedy/ mishap after mishap!! Aside from multiple grammatical errors, this is a great read!!

This book has you hooked from the first page. Really up set that this wasn’t a 1 and done book because I hate waiting for part two I normal don’t ready books that don’t have the whole series out but I truly recommend if you don’t mind waiting I just hope it doesn’t take forever it’s really a twist and cliffhanger

This is one of those stories that you cannot put down. This is my first read by Lucinda John and I really enjoyed it. The way she told the story made me like Keys for Crisanna. I hate there is no Part 2 available and it appears one may not be released anytime soon based on comments. So many unanswered scenarios pending.

Ms. Lucinda John is not to be played with. When I mean the emotions are pouring from these pages. What a hardcore life Crystal and Chrissy are having. Things are goid then things get really bad. These struggles with make the strongest man fold. I highly recommend this book..bravo!!

Wowwwwwww!
Man those girls really went through some childhood trauma. Crysianna is a soldier. And in a way so is Crystal. They just show it in different ways. As I read I kept thinking don't give up. Yes you're having hard trials but God has you. Man this story really resonated with me. Such a good book.

Not Another Hood Love Story
I gave this book a five star rating because it was extremely good. I would most definitely say it’s a Great Read. There wasn’t a dull moment in it. Full of drama and excitement. This book will keep you biting your nails. Great job Lucinda John. I most definitely would recommend this book.

This book was everything. I literally couldn’t put this book down. The real life struggles that are brought out on this story make you appreciate so many things in life. This author made you feel every emotion. It was as if I was right there with the characters. I definitely recommend this book.

This is one book I could not put down!!!! Every page it was SOMETHING. It felt like I was watching one of my good ole tv series. From the beginning to the end it was filled with sooo much drama, to the point I couldn’t put it down until I found out what happened. The ending had me so shocked that I had to pick up the second book and read that one as well.

Great book. I wished the story could’ve end differently but I guess I have to read part to find out. I really didn’t think Vic was going to be there for Chrystal & Cissy but he was an honest guy. Sad what happened to him & his boys but Pete has to get his. I believe it was him that did that to Keys but where exactly was his boys?

Lucinda is a true story teller!!!! Her books capture your attention within the first paragraph! This book was sooo Florida and just crazy!!!!! There was a good mix of drama, humor, love and family ties! I need part 2 asap!
